The Political Economy of Food Security: Overcoming Institutional Constraints in Indonesia
Indonesia’s persistent food security challenges extend beyond agricultural output to institutional inefficiencies and political dynamics that obstruct policy effectiveness. This study explores the political economy of food security by investigating how institutional fragmentation, bureaucratic misalignment, and political incentives shape food governance outcomes. Employing a qualitative methodology rooted in institutional theory and political economy, the research draws on document analysis and thematic interpretation of policy documents, academic literature, and official reports. The findings show that decentralization has contributed to disjointed mandates and weak inter-agency coordination, while populist pressures and elite interests distort resource allocation and policy priorities. Nevertheless, policy opportunities exist through institutional harmonization, digital governance, local innovation, and stakeholder inclusion. The study contributes a nuanced understanding of food security governance in Indonesia and proposes systemic reforms to enhance institutional coherence, transparency, and responsiveness. These findings have implications for both theory and practice in designing more equitable and sustainable food systems
Pilot Study Waqf Pesantren Gontor and Poverty Reduction: A Study by Using Smart PLS-SEM Approach
This paper aims to examine waqf Pesantren Gontor affecting the poverty alleviation in Indonesia. The pilot project is based on a sample of 30 responsible In several business units in Pesantren Gontor such as Gontor’s Taylor unit, Gontor’s Supermarket, Gontor’s Bakery and Gontor’s food court. The study used partial least squares structural equation modelling tool to analyze data which provide evidence of realibility and validity. The empirical results show that Waqf business units (source of fund, profitability, Business Capital, Product Innovation, market need) are significantly positive affected with Human Resources Development and Waqf Pesantren Gontor. Moreover, Waqf Pesantren Gontor are significantly positive affected with poverty alleviation. The finding of the study will be a bench mark or the board for policy makers and implementers in torching the avenue of Waqf Pesantren improvement and Poverty alleviation
Analisis Pengaruh Toko Ritel Modern Terhadap Pendapatan Pedagang Tradisional dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Islam
The aim of this research isto find out the influence of retail modern existence through traditional retail seller income at Subdistrict Ngawi Regency Ngawi and discover its solution in islamic economic. And giving some sugestion for retial traditional seller to evolving their business. This research is quantitativefield research, by obtaining primary source from questioner which had devided to traditional retail seller in subdistric Ngawi. The result is showing that, Sig in Coefficient table are about 0,433>0,05 which tell that Ho is rejected, which mean is, there is some effect between the existence of modern retailwith traditional retail seller income in subdistrict Ngawi. And with T-Test also showed that Ho is rejectedwith t-count<t table (-0,031<2,093). Then, we can conclude regresion equation Y’ = 4,539 - 0,031X + e, which means, if the exixtence of modern retail is valued 0, then the income of traditional retail seller is valued 4,539. Because of regresion coefficient the existence of modern retail is about -0,031, then every additional one unit of modern retail will affect to decrease of traditional retail seller income about Rp 0,031

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Challenges in Developing Productive Waqf Based on Masjid in Indonesia using Analytic Network Process (ANP)
The purpose of this study is to analyze the priority problems and main solutions in the development of mosque-based productive waqf. The method used in this research is the Analytic Network Process (ANP). Respondents in this study came from practitioners and experts in Waqf. The results of this study indicate that after analyzing the results of interviews with expert resource persons and mosque managers. The priority problem in human resources is the ta'mir's understanding of productive waqf is still lacking with a geometric mean value shown of 0.46 while for institutional and government problems it shows that the lack of BWI's role in socializing and educating about productive waqf and local government is also less than optimal. Meanwhile, the priority solution is to provide education for productive waqf and its management for all ta'mir mosques and BWI also provides assistance and the government also provides support in the form of policies that can encourage the development of mosque-based productive waqf
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
