    Indonesia merupakan kawasan rawan gempa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari kondisi letak geografis Indonesia, bahwa Indonesia merupakan tempat bertemunya 4 lempeng dunia yaitu, lempeng Indo-Australia, lempeng Eurasia, lempeng Filipina dan lempeng Pasific. Bukti lainnya adalah banyaknya jumlah gunung berapi yang aktif di Indonesia. Jika mendesain sebuah bangunan pada lokasi tanah yang dominan pasir, maka salah satu bahaya yang dihadapi adalah likuifaksi. Likuifaksi adalah suatu kondisi berubahnya perilaku tanah dari padat menjadi cair akibat adanya getaran atau beban sklik. Salah satu penyebab dapat terjadinya likuifaksi adalah gempa. Maka jika mendesain bangunan yang berada pada kondisi tanah pasir serta daerah gempa tinggi, harus dilakukan analisa zona likuifaksi. Saat ini terdapat sebuah proyek pembangunan hotel di Pantai Malimbu, Lombok. Proyek tersebut berada di tanah dominan pasir dan juga termasuk daerah dengan resiko gempa tinggi. Pada perencanaan yang telah dilakukan, pihak perencana tidak melakukan analisa terhadap zona likuifaksi dan pengurangan daya dukung pondasi tiang pancang akibat dari likuifaksi. Untuk menangggulangi adanya bahaya akibat v likuifaksi, hanya dilakukan dengan menggunakan angka keamanan (safety factor) = 5. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan perencanaan pondasi tiang pancang dengan membandingkan kondisi likuifaksi dan kondisi tidak likuifaksi. Perencanaan pondasi dilakukan terhadap 4 kondisi. Kondisi 1 adalah kondisi eksisting proyek, dimana tidak meninjau terhadap kemungkinan likuifaksi, meninjau beban gempa, dan safety factor = 5. Kondisi 2 adalah kondisi dimana meninjau kemungkinan likufaksi dan penggunaan safety factor = 1.5. Kondisi 3 adalah kondisi tidak meninjau adanya kemungkinan likuifaksi, meninjau beban gempa dan safety factor = 2. Kondisi 4 adalah kondisi tidak meninjau kemungkinan likuifaksi, tidak meninjau beban gempa dan safety factor = 3. Struktur bangunan atas akan di modelkan dengan program bantu SAP 2000. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui reaksi pada dasar bangunan. Permodelan struktur bangunan atas terdri atas 2 jenis, yaitu permodelan pada kondisi likuifaksi dan tidak likuifaksi. Dari hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan maka didapatkan jumlah kebutuhan pondasi tiang pancang untuk masing-masing kondisi.Kondisi 1 menggunakan PC spun pile diameter 1000 mm sejumlah 192 buah. Kondisi 2 menggunakan bored pile diameter 800 mm sejumlah 192 buah. Kondisi 3 dan kondisi 4 menggunakan PC spun pile diameter 600 mm sejumlah 192 buah dan 256 buah untuk masing-masingnya. =========================================================== Indonesia is located at earthquake-prone area. It can be seen from the geographical condition of Indonesia, that Indonesia has been formed from intersection between 4 tectonic plates. There are Indo-Australia plate, Eurasia plate, Filipina plate, and Pasific plate. When the building designed on sandy soil dominated area, there is a risk for liquefaction. Liquefaction is a condition canging of soil behavior from solid into liquid because of vibration or cyclic loading. Earthquake may cause the liquefaction. Therefore, when designing a building that located on sandy soil and high risk earthquake area, it has to be done with liquefaction zone analysis. Currently, a hotel construction project is being undertaken in Malimbu beach, Lombok. The project located on sandy soil with high risk earthquake. It has observed from existing design, that consultant have not undertaken analysis in regards to liquefaction zone, as well as the decrease of soil bearing capacity due to liquefaction. For resolving the risk of liquefaction, it had been used safety factor = 5. In this final project, pile foundation will be designed in order to compare between liquefaction condition and non liquefaction condition. The foundation will be design with 4 conditions. The first is non liquefaction condition, considering earthquake loading, and safety factor = 5. The second is vii vii liquefaction condition, considering earthquake loading, safety factor = 1.5. The third is non liquefaction condition, considering earthquake loading, safety factor = 2. The fourth condition is non liquefaction condition, not considering earthquake loading, safety factor = 3. The upperstructure will be designed using SAP 2000. It aims to discover the joints reaction. The modeling of upperstucture consist of 2 type, that is liquefaction modeling and non liquefaction modeling. From the calculation result, it obtained the amount of foundation needs for each condition design. Condition 1, using 600 mm diameter of PC spun pile for 192 pieces. Condition 2, using 800 mm diameter of bored pile for 192 pieces. Condition 3 and condition 4 using 600 mm diameter of PC spun pile, 192 pieces for condition 3 and 256 pieces for condition 4

    Industri metalizing plastic menghasilkan limbah evaporation boats. Limbah evaporation boats dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dasar crucibel karena memiliki kandungan unsur yang baik. Salah satu proses pembuatan crucibel yaitu pengeringan. Pengeringan crucible dapat menggunakan alat pengering buatan agar temperatur pengeringan dapat terkontrol dan lebih efisien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur pengeringan terhadap densitas, porositas, dan kekerasan material crucible berbahan evaporation boats, kaolin, castable, dan abu sekam padi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen. Komposisi pembuatan material crucible menggunakan persentase berat terdiri dari evaporation boats 50%, kaolin 20%, castable 20% dan abu sekam padi 10%, serta dicampur dengan air 15% dari berat keseluruhan. Pencampuran menggunakan mixer selama 90 menit. Bahan dicetak sesuai dengan standar pengujian. Spesimen kemudian dikeringkan dengan variasi temperatur pengeringan 60 ºC, 80 ºC, 100 ºC, dan 120 ºC dengan waktu 4 jam kemudian di firing pada temperatur 1000˚C menggunakan furnace dengan laju pemanasan 5˚C/menit dan holding time 2 jam. Pengujian meliputi pengujian densitas, porositas dan kekerasan. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa pengaruh temperatur pengeringan pada material crucible semakin tinggi temperatur pengeringan dengan batas 100 ºC akan semakin tinggi juga sifat fisis dan mekanisnya akan tetapi temperatur diatas 100 ºC akan terjadi penurunan sifat fisis dan mekanisnya. Nilai densitas tertinggi sebesar 1,84 g/cm³ pada temperatur pengeringan 100 ºC. Nilai porositas tertinggi sebesar 4,28% pada perlakuan temperatur pengeringan 60 ºC. Nilai kekerasan tertinggi sebesar 14,78 HV pada temperatur pengeringan 100 ºC

    Mesin bubut memiliki peran penting dalam manufaktur untuk menghasilkan komponen dengan presisi tinggi. Kecepatan potong dan gerak makan (feedrate) menentukan kualitas serta efisiensi dalam proses. Retrofit dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja, efisiensi, atau memperpanjang umur layanan mesin. Proses ini melibatkan penambahan atau peningkatan sistem, komponen, maupun teknologi baru. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan melakukan retrofit pada mesin bubut dengan mengintegrasikan sensor accelerometer dan loadcell. Sensor tersebut dipasang pada mata pahat sebagai bagian dari sistem pengendalian gerak makan. Penelitian mencakup perancangan, pemasangan, dan kalibrasi sensor. Sensor accelerometer mengukur percepatan, sedangkan sensor loadcell mengukur gaya pemotongan. Data sensor diolah menggunakan National Instrument USB-6212 sebagai perangkat akuisisi data dan Arduino Mega sebagai pengontrol gerak makan adaptif berbasis fuzzy logic. Eksperimen dilakukan pada mesin bubut BL-180 dengan sensor accelerometer pada mata pahat untuk mengukur percepatan. Sensor loadcell digunakan untuk mengukur gaya pemotongan. Data sensor menjadi masukan untuk mengatur feedrate secara adaptif berdasarkan kondisi operasional, seperti kedalaman potongan dan kualitas permukaan diinginkan. Sistem mengatur feedrate dengan fuzzy logic untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas pemotongan pada benda kerja komposit berbahan resin dan serat kaca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem retrofit bekerja dengan baik menggunakan dua mikrokontroler dengan fungsi berbeda. Mikrokontroler National Instrument USB-6212 melakukan akuisisi data real-time dari sensor loadcell dan accelerometer 356B21. Mikrokontroler Arduino Mega mengontrol gerak makan berdasarkan data dari sensor loadcell dan accelerometer MPU6050

    IIQ Jakarta as an institution that is engaged in tahfizh al-Qur `an need to maintain its existence in the midst of tahfizh institutions that offer fast and qualified memorizing methods. IIQ Jakarta offers not only tahfizh but also academic programs. However, graduate samples in 2016 showed a decrease in the quantity of female memorization. The author conducts experimental research on two modern tahfizh methods that take the theoretical basis of Educational Psychology. The method chosen by the author is STIFIn and ILHAM Method as experimental group and Talaqqi method used in IIQ Jakarta as control group. The authors chose both methods of experiment because it is considered ideal in terms of the duration of memorization time because the two methods do not offer the memorization of too fast and too long. The research method used in this research is experimental method with two manipulated methods and one control method. Tahfizh test results that include quality and quantity are calculated by One Way Anova formula to find out which method is most effective for Pesantren Takhasus IIQ Jakarta. The method was experimented at Pesantren Takhasus IIQ Jakarta by applying the implementation stage of the method and adapted to the situation in Pesantren Takhasus IIQ Jakarta. This study yields the conclusion that out of three methods, ILHAM method is the most effective method applied in PesantrenTakhasus IIQ Jakarta

    Regarding marriage, of course there are requirements that must be met, both requirements from the KUA and traditions in various regions. As with the calculation of weton in Karangtalok Village, Ampelgading District, Pemalang Regency, the author intends to examine weton from an 'urf perspective so that it is clear whether it can be used or not. What is the tradition of calculating weton in Karangtalok Village and analyzing the calculation of weton as a condition for marriage from an 'urf perspective. Regarding this research, it is field research, because this research was carried out directly to determine the calculation of weton in Karangtalok Village, Ampelgading District, Pemalang Regency from the 'urf perspective. The data analysis carried out by this research was qualitative descriptive analysis and the data collection method used unstructured interviews. The primary data for this research is in the form of direct interviews and is supported by secondary data in the form of journals, articles and books. The aim of this research is to provide an understanding to the public about how to respond to the concept of weton as a calculation for determining a soul mate and the fate of a partner according to the 'urf perspective. From this research it can be concluded that the tradition of calculating weton is a condition for marriage from the 'urf perspective in Karangtalok Village, Ampelgading District, Pemalang Regency. Based on the practice of calculating weton in Karangtalok village, the market day of each prospective bride and groom must be known in advance, after calculating the amount, this can be adjusted to Javanese standards. From this standard, shops and the public use it as a reference for Weton's conclusions. Second, Weton can be classified as al-'urf al-fasid bad custom/tradition if weton is believed to be an antidote to bad luck and a way to avoid bad luck. Weton can be studied but not trusted

When the author did sea project on the MV. Energy Prosperity, the author observed one problem when the author was returning from Samcheonpo, South Korea to Muara Berau, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Precisely in Luzon, Philippines on March 7, 2017 at 7.15 a.m. MV. Energy Prosperity has been black out at that time. This can happen because the number 3 diesel generator engine was overheat. Overheat is an event where the temperature inside the engine is too high when the engine is operating, causing the piston and piston ring to expand, which results in the absence of clearance between the piston ring and the cylinder liner wall. As a result the level of friction between the piston ring with the cylinder liner wall increases so that it can cause abrasive wear on the cylinder liner wall or commonly called abrasive wear. The cylinder liner repair of the diesel generator was done through boring method using a lathe machine. Lathing is a workpiece incision process which in the general workpiece incision process is done by rotating the workpiece then worned on the chisel which moved in translational parallel to the rotary axis of the workpiece. While boring is the process of enlarging a hole using lathe machine. Seeing the big role of the lathe machine in the cylinder liner repair of diesel generator engine in the MV. Energy Prosperity, the author was interested to did research so the author could find samples in the form of data based on existing facts to serve as reference data in the production of theses, and the data in the form of facts makes the author could make a conclusion, then the conclusion could be summarized back to be used as a thesis title. So it was born, “The Role of Lathe Machine in the Diesel Generator Engine Cylinder Liner Repair on MV. Energy Prosperity” as the author's thesis title. The author uses a combined research method between Fishbone Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis to describe the factors that cause the cylinder liner repair of the diesel generator engine in the MV.     Background: Pediatric urinary tract infection (UTI) should become attention due to high prevalence, severe complication, and high cost treatment. Bacterial pattern and its susceptibility are different in every region.The objective of this study was to discover pattern of bacteria causing UTI and their susceptibility to antibiotics. Methods: This study was an observational descriptive study. The data was obtained from medical records and susceptibility testing results of pediatric UTI in Department of Child Health at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital in period of 2014. Data taken was presented in table.Results: There were 26 cultures which had microbiological findings among 79 cultures taken from 106 patients with UTI. The majority of findings were Escherichia coli (10 cases), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (4 cases), and Klebsiella pneumoniae (4 cases). Antibiotic classes with high susceptibility level were aminoglycoside, sulfonamide, and fluoroquinolone. Resistance level were higher in cephalosporin class than others.Conclusions: Most common bacterial found are Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiellapneumoniae. The result of susceptibility testing for cultures shows variance of susceptibility pattern to antibiotics in pediatric patients with UTI at Department of Child Health Dr. HasanSadikin General Hospital.     THE REPRESENTATION OF FEMINIST PERSPECTIVE IN AYAD AKHTAR’S AMERICAN DERVISH

    This research analyzes the representation of feminist perspective in American Dervish novel. It is portrayed in Ayad Akhtar’s American Dervish by its female characterization. In literary work, character can be used as an equipment to deliver the idea of the author through the story to the readers. Through American Dervish, Ayad Akhtar tells an interesting story about Pakistani-American culture. There are three problems to discuss in this research. The first is the women’s oppression in the novel, then, the representation of feminist perspective in the novel, and the last is the author’s ideology that constructed behind the novel. This research is significant because it discusses about gender inequality that often happens in Pakistani-American society. This research aims to gain understanding about the representation of feminism in the midst of Pakistani American Muslim societies that is considered as strong patriarchal culture. To support the analysis, I use the Stuart Hall’s theory of representation and Chandra Mohanty’s feminism approach. Theory of representation is used to analyze the feminist perspective in the novel that supported by Mohanty’s feminism approach. Then, from the results of analysis, finally I found the author’s ideology from connecting previous analysis results with the social context of the novel, and the social background of the author. Specifically, the social context and social background that I discuss is about Pakistani American Muslim life in 1980’s, even until nowadays. This research is qualitative research. This research is divided into two kinds of data, primary data and secondary data. The primary data are taken from the narrative and descriptive dialogues in Ayad Akhtar’s American Dervish. I use literature journals, essays, articles, relevant books and e-sources as the secondary data. As the result of the discussion, it can be inferred that the author delivers his feminist perspective through the female characterization in his American Dervish novel. Mina and Muneer are two female characters who have feminist perspective in the novel. The feminist perspective in the novel mostly emerge in merely the way of thinking or mindset like criticizing, complaining, etc, but female characters cannot escape from this oppression that is resulted by the patriarchal culture that have been practiced for a long time ago. Basically, the author criticizes the fundamentalism in Islam that also affects to gender issues. Above all, the author tries to advocate gender equality. By this research, we can know that Islam actually holds woman in high esteem, and woman has some equal rights with men. The patriarchal culture that occurs in most Muslim societies is resulted by many factors, such as misinterpretation, misconception, etc
