Cyberbullying is a form of behavior that harms, disrupts, and threatens the safety of other users on social media. Cyberbullying is crucial to explore, considering that most research focuses on victims and less on perpetrators. The present study aimed to examine the role of emotion regulation in moderating cyber-victimization and cyberbullying. This correlational study involved 103 respondents (38 males and 65 females). They are aged 19-24, in the second to fourteenth semesters, and indicated as a perpetrator of social media. Data were collected using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) and the Cyberbullying Inventory (CB-I). The data analysis techniques applied in this study were descriptive, correlational, cluster, and regression-based moderator analyses. The moderator analysis used the PROCESS syntax in IBM SPSS. This study showed that emotion regulation predicted decreasing cyberbullying, whereas cyber-victimization strongly correlated with cyberbullying. Furthermore, the negative correlation between cyber-victimization and cyberbullying increased when emotion regulation was low. This study confirmed that most perpetrators experienced cyber-victimization, and emotion regulation strategically reduced those circumstances

    No full text
This study explored the relationship between parental rejection and self handicapping, considering the moderating role of socioeconomic status. The study population included students from 2016-2019 with a total of 1,238 students. The study sample consisted of 270 students selected by simple random sampling method, with an additional 25 respondents making a total of 295 respondents. The method in this study was carried out by collecting data using a Likert scale tested on the parental rejection scale and the self handicapping scale and analyzing the data using the Hayes model 1 regression technique. The results showed a positive relationship between maternal rejection and self handicapping (p=0.001, p<0.05), indicating that the higher the level of rejection from the mother, the higher the level of self handicapping in individuals. While there is no positive relationship between paternal rejection and self handicapping. Furthermore, socioeconomic status moderated the relationship between parental rejection and self handicapping, especially in the high (p=0.011, p>0.05) and very high (p=0.027, p>0.05) socioeconomic status groups. This indicates that the higher the socioeconomic status of the individual, the greater the influence of parental rejection on increasing self-handicapping behavior

There have been different models of achievement motivation models proposed in the literature. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of the Focused Classroom Meeting Model of Teaching (FCMMT) which is based on the Trisula Model of Achievement Motivation in English as a foreign language setting. The effectiveness of FCMMT was examined through experimental research with randomized pre-test post-test control group design. The subjects consisted of 40 students of 11th Grade who were randomly selected from a senior high school. They were, then, randomly assigned into two different groups, namely experimental and control groups. The experimental group received FCMMT of teaching model intervention, while the control group was given classroom management intervention by applying the experimental design of the control group pre-test multiple post-tests. Both experimental and control groups received teaching intervention for 12 sessions (90 minutes per session; twice per week). The achievement motivation scale used was adapted from the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). The result of the experiment showed that FCMMT was effective in enhancing students’ achievement motivation. This study provides an alternative new model empirically found effective for increasing student achievement motivation, namely task value, self-efficacy, and goal orientation

Advances in information and communication technology offer a sophisticated smartphone that has the potential to lead to addiction. Previous studies found smartphone addiction is motivated by the presence of psychological factors such as depression experienced by a person. In addition, previous studies also found a determining factor that is the magnitude of smartphone addiction different depends on the types of smartphone applications selected. Therefore, current research aims to identify the relationship between depression and the choice of smartphone apps with smartphone addiction in students. Current research is quantitative research methods. The participants of this study were 307 students. The instruments used in the study consisted of a depression scale, smartphone addiction scale, and smartphone app selection questionnaire. The data was analyzed using product-moment correlation. The data analysis revealed a positive correlation coefficient value of 0.468 with a significance of 0.000 (p>0.05), meaning there was a positive association between depression and smartphone application choices with smartphone addiction in students. Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the level of depression experienced, the higher the level of smartphone addiction of students. Then, the choice of smartphone apps displayed a different impact on the level of smartphone addiction. Game applications have fewer percentages of voters compared to social media applications. However, game applications have a bigger influence on students' smartphone addiction

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the differences in the self-efficacy of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers in implementing inclusive Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Semarang Regency, considering their educational background and teaching experience. The focus of this research is to understand the extent to which these two variables influence teachers' confidence in delivering inclusive education, which is a crucial element for the success of education for children with special needs (CSN). Design/methods/approach – This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative design, where data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 115 RA teachers across 16 institutions in Semarang Regency. The instrument used was the Teacher Efficacy for Inclusive Practices (TEIP), which has been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) to evaluate the impact of educational background and teaching experience on teachers' self-efficacy. Findings – The findings indicate significant differences in teachers' self-efficacy based on educational background and teaching experience (P < 0.05). Teachers with an S1 (Bachelor's Degree) in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) have higher self-efficacy levels compared to those with a high school/vocational school (SMA/SMK) background and a general S1 (Bachelor's Degree). Moreover, more than five years of teaching experience correlates with an increase in teachers' self-efficacy in managing inclusive education. Research implications – This research contributes to the limited literature on teacher self-efficacy in the context of inclusive ECE within RA institutions under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The study provides new insights into the factors that influence teachers' confidence in managing inclusive education, particularly in early childhood education

The aim of this research is to obtain a method to accelerate vegetative growth through the provision of nutrient solutions using a planting media immersion system (tach system). This research was conducted in the Greenhouse from July to October 2023. This research uses a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor is the frequency of immersion (F) with 3 levels, and the second factor of chicken manure concentrate (C) consists of 2 concentrations. The results showed that the treatment of soaking frequency and nutrient concentration had a significant interaction effect. The results of the regression test showed a linear interaction pattern for all growth variables, except leaf area. The more often you soak the planting medium, the better the growth of the Phalaenopsis amabilis. This shows that plant media soaked in nutrient solution cannot absorb dissolved nutrients for a long time. Based on these results, it was concluded that the more frequent immersion of the planting medium in nutrient solution had a positive effect on the growth of orchid plants. However, this research also shows that although statistically the effect of different treatments is significant on the growth variable, it is not visually obvious
