    Dave Ross (1871-1943) and George Ade (1866-1944) were trustees, distinguished alumni and benefactors of Purdue University. Their friendship began in 1922 and led to their giving land and money for the 1924 construction of Ross-Ade Stadium, now a 70,000 seat athletic landmark on the West Lafayette campus. Their life stories date to 1883 Purdue and involve their separate student experiences and eventual fame. Their lives crossed paths with U.S. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Henry Ford, Amelia Earhart, and Will Rogers among others. Gifts or ideas from Ross or Ade led to creation of the Purdue Research Foundation, Purdue Airport, Ross Hills Park, and Ross Engineering Camp. They helped Purdue Theater, the Harlequin Club and more. Ade, renowned author and playwright, did butt heads with Purdue administrators at times long ago, but remains a revered figure.     Mapping the Energy ADE to CityGML 3.0

    In order to limit the global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, all sectors have to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and become more sustainable. This also includes the building sector, which is in Europe responsible for 40% of the total energy consumption (European Commission, 2020). A way to work towards this goal is by retrofitting the existing building stock to become more energy efficient. Urban Building Energy Modelling (UBEM) can help in this endeavour by identifying energy-saving potentials and thus to effectively allocate the required resources (Horak et al., 2022). Yet, UBEM involves many stakeholders which is why standards are crucial to facilitate data exchange and interoperability among them. In this context, the Energy ADE v1.0 was developed as an extension for the semantic 3D city model standard CityGML 2.0. It serves two purposes, first by storing energy related information on the individual building level, and second by providing the necessary input data for UBEM simulations (Agugiaro et al., 2018). However, in September 2021 CityGML 3.0 was released. The introduced changes directly affect the structure of the Energy ADE, which is why it cannot fully function on it anymore. This thesis therefore answers the question, how and to what extent the Energy ADE for CityGML 2.0 needs to be adapted to be conformant with the new CityGML 3.0 standard. It is accomplished by following a model-driven approach, where the UML class diagrams for the mapped Energy ADE are created first, before automatically deriving the corresponding XSD schema file. Through the lossless mapping itself, the Energy ADE is integrated as much as possible into CityGML 3.0, while also maintaining a logical symmetry. As such it accounts for the introduced changes of CityGML 3.0, by making use of the space and geometry concept, the versioning possibilities as well as the provided structures to model time-dependent data. The result is eventually tested and verified by converting a sample dataset to the Energy ADE for CityGML 3.0. This work provides an example on how other ADEs can be adapted to fit the new CityGML 3.0 standard and thus hopefully to the further establishment of it.Geomatic

    A metadata ADE for CityGML

    While there exist international standards for geospatial metadata (ISO 19115), these are rarely used in practice for 3D datasets, and one of the OGC standards for 3D city models, CityGML, does not offer a mechanism to store metadata in a structured way. Having metadata in CityGML files, which are in practice often very large and complex, would provide us with the ability to quickly understand the nature of a dataset and to determine if it is relevant for a specific task. Alack of metadata introduces uncertainty into models that are already full of assumptions and estimations. In this paper, we first examine the metadata needs that are specific for 3D geographical datasets and propose ISO 19115compliant categories. We then describe how these can be used within CityGML by defining an Application DomainExtension (ADE), which allows us to store metadata for existing city objects of CityGML, as well as objects in other domain-specific ADEs. Our ADE, its schema in both UML and XSD, and sample datasets is openly accessible, and it can be easily extended to support application specific metadata. In addition the metadata elements have been added to the core of CityJSON. We also offer software to generate automatically many of the metadata categories and we propose coupling it with the source 3D dataset.Urban Data Scienc

    The purpose of this study has been {l) to appraise the existing literary reputation of George Ade and (2) to determine whether or not he has made a substantial contri­bution to national literature. In the investigation the hypothesis assumed was that the humor which critics see in George Ade\u27s work and the local color contribution which he made to national literature were of secondary importance to the author\u27s personal in­tention to be a realist. The presupposition which has been adopted is that George Ade endeavored to be one of the exponents of the realistic movement. He recreated with his works what per­haps might be described as an authentic expression of real­ism in American literature. Whether Ade did or did not accomplish the realism he set out to convey in his writings, he remains a minor figure in the American annals of litera­ture

    Analisis Konsistensi Implementasi Penggunaan Website pada Proses Rekrutmen dan Seleksi Karyawan Base on Seven Tools Aporoach Method (Studi Kasus PT. Duta Nichirindo Pratama)

    PT. Duta Nichirindo Pratama is an organization engaged in Autoparts Manufacturing, in this research it focuses on analyzing problems in the personnel department, especially the recruitment and selection process for employees. The previous year the recruitment and selection process for employees was still doing manual queuing and the accumulation of job application letter documents that had the potential to generate waste, from this problem the personnel department immediately made improvements by designing a digital computing website using VB.NET, My.SQL server management and PHP programming language, designed to be a Website Link, namely https://dnp.co.id/employeeactivity. Judging from the problems and improvements that have been made, the title determined in this study is "Analysis of the Consistency of the Implementation of Website Usage in the Recruitment and Selection Process of Base On Seven Tools Aporoach Method". The results of the research on the data before and after repairing the waste management of former application documents showed a decrease of 100%, this data analysis used seven quality stone tools (seven Tools Approach) namely check sheet data, bar charts, Pareto diagrams, fishbon diagrams, scatter diagrams, pie charts, histograms. The waste data of former application documents before repairs in the recruitment process for the period January to December 2020 amounted to 183, using 3660 sheets of paper, the number of employees needed is 16 people, the amount of paper needed is 400 sheets, so a cover letter which is disposed of as waste is 3260 pieces or 17 kg. After repairs were made by designing a digital computing website, the application letter which was disposed of as waste per September 2021 to March 2022 was 0 Pcs/sheet.PT. Hasil penelitian pada data  sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan penanggulangan sampah bekas berkas dokumen lamaran menunjukan penurunan sebesar 100%, analisa data ini menggunakan tujuh alat batu kualitas (seven Tools Approach) yaitu data check sheet , diagram batang, diagram pareto, fishbon diagram, scatter diagram, pie chart, histogram. Data sampah dokumen bekas lamaran sebelum perbaikan pada proses rekrutme periode bulan Januari sampai dengan Desember 2020 sebesar Jumlah pelamar adalah 183,menggunakan 3660 lembar kertas, jumlah karyawan-karyawati yang dibutuhkan adalah 16 orang, jumlah kertas yang dibutuhkan adalah 400 lembar, jadi kertas surat lamaran yang dibuang menjadi sampah adalah 3260 lembar atau 17 kg.     PERANCANGAN SISTEM KEAMANAN PENDETEKSI KEBOCORAN GAS LPG MENGGUNAKAN SENSOR MQ-2 BERBASIS MIKROKONTROLER ARDUINO UNO R3 STUDI KASUS DI RUMAH MAKAN

    This research aims to answer the need for a security system that is capable of detecting LPG gas leaks in restaurants to avoid potential fire and explosion hazards. The system developed uses an MQ-2 gas sensor controlled by an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, capable of detecting the presence of LPG gas and providing early warning to restaurant owners. The main objective of this research is to design and implement an effective and efficient safety system in detecting LPG gas leaks, which can provide warnings quickly and accurately to prevent accidents (explosion and fire). The methodology used in this research includes the hardware and software design stages, as well as system testing in an actual restaurant environment. The hardware consists of the MQ-2 sensor, Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, buzzer module to provide alarms, I2C LCD to display data received from the MQ-2 gas sensor, and others. Software was developed using the Arduino IDE platform to program the microcontroller to detect and respond to gas leaks. The results of system implementation show that the MQ-2 sensor is able to detect LPG gas leaks quickly and accurately. An alarm sounds as soon as a leak is detected, providing effective early warning to restaurant owners. In addition, this system has also been tested in various conditions to ensure its reliability. The conclusion of this research is that the security system based on the MQ-2 sensor and Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller can function well in detecting LPG gas leaks and providing early warning which is much needed to prevent accidents in restaurants. This system is proven to be efficient, easy to implement, and reliable as an effective security solution. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab kebutuhan akan sistem keamanan yang mampu mendeteksi kebocoran gas LPG di rumah makan guna menghindari potensi bahaya kebakaran dan ledakan. Sistem yang dikembangkan menggunakan sensor gas MQ-2 yang dikontrol oleh mikrokontroler Arduino Uno R3, mampu mendeteksi keberadaan gas LPG dan memberikan peringatan dini kepada pemilik rumah makan. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem keamanan yang efektif dan efisien dalam mendeteksi kebocoran gas LPG, yang dapat memberikan peringatan dengan cepat dan akurat untuk mencegah kecelakaan (ledakan dan kebakaran). Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup tahap perancangan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, serta pengujian sistem di lingkungan rumah makan yang sebenarnya. Perangkat keras terdiri dari sensor MQ-2, mikrokontroler Arduino Uno R3, modul buzzer untuk memberikan alarm, LCD I2C untuk menampilkan data yang diterima dari sensor gas MQ-2, dan lain-lain. Perangkat lunak dikembangkan menggunakan platform Arduino IDE untuk memprogram mikrokontroler dalam mendeteksi dan merespons kebocoran gas. Hasil implementasi sistem menunjukkan bahwa sensor MQ-2 mampu mendeteksi kebocoran gas LPG dengan cepat dan akurat. Alarm berbunyi segera setelah kebocoran terdeteksi, memberikan peringatan dini yang efektif kepada pemilik rumah makan. Selain itu, sistem ini juga telah diuji dalam berbagai kondisi untuk memastikan keandalannya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sistem keamanan berbasis sensor MQ-2 dan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno R3 ini dapat berfungsi dengan baik dalam mendeteksi kebocoran gas LPG dan memberikan peringatan dini yang sangat dibutuhkan untuk mencegah kecelakaan di rumah makan. Sistem ini terbukti efisien, mudah diimplementasikan, dan dapat diandalkan sebagai solusi keamanan yang efektif.

    CityGML Application Domain Extension (ADE): overview of developments

    The Application Domain Extension (ADE) is a built-in mechanism of CityGML to augment its data model with additional concepts required by particular use cases. The goal of this paper is to provide an overview of the ADE mechanism and a literature review of developments since its introduction a decade ago. The discovery of publications found that currently there are 44 ADEs supporting a wide range of applications, but also application-agnostic purposes such as harmonisation with national geographic information standards.     This research originated from the author’s interest in the many cases of Ade Armando who played a role with various problems, the most exciting of which was the case of Ade Armando regarding the photo contamination of DKI Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan with the title “Framing Analysis of Anies Baswedan Joker’s Meme News Content By Ade Armando in the Media Online Detik.Com, Ade Armando made a meme containing a photo of the Governor of DKI Jakarta in the form of a notorious fictional Joker character. The photo of the meme contains the phrase “the evil governor starts from a dismissed minister”. Here the researcher wants to see how the online media Detik.com frames the news, there are various frames that represent the reality of the Anies Baswedan Joker meme case by Ade Armando. The author chooses online media detik.com because online media reveals a lot of these cases with 16 news stories compared to other online media. The author conducted a qualitative research by analyzing several news stories of the Anies Baswedan meme case using the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M Kosicki’s framing analysis approach which has four dimensions, namely syntactic analysis (the way journalists compile facts), scripts (how journalists tell facts), thematic (the way the writer writes facts) and rhetorical (the journalist’s way of emphasizing the facts).   Keywords: Framing Analysis, Meme, Anies Baswedan Joker, Ade Armando
