    A rethinking of the National Library’s roles in bibliographic control in the ICT age, with special reference to the Region of Southeast Asia

    Historically and traditionally, bibliographical control conducted by national libraries in Southeast Asia regions as dictated by various deposit acts are limited to the printed materials. Later on it was expanded into audiovisual materials such as microfilms and cartographic materials, the results are published in national bibliography, albeit most of the contents covered are printed materials, very few audiovisual materials and hardly no electronic records. With the coming age of ICT, especially the Internet, almost every body could published electronically at the Websites any materials in any topics, including the topics related to SEA countries. Alas these electronic documents are not covered by national bibliographies, hence it is suggested that the national bibliography should covered websites-based-electronic records as long as its related to each country. Also it is suggested that it is time to storage digitally national folklores, folksongs, important speeches, famous poetry, quotations etc in the national library’s database as part of cultural heritage as those materials are not always covered by other institutions such as archives and museums . These tasks conducted by national libraries should be supported by national legislation, selectivity-based, stored electronically and permanently in the national library’ database and become a part of special collection known as bibliographica or bibliografia for examples Bibliographica Siam, Bibliografica Indonesiana etc

    Pelayanan medik dewasa ini membutuhkan sistem yang lebih efektif dan efisien, baik dalam penggunaan waktu, tenaga maupun sarana. Dalam pengelolaan rekam medik, kenyataan masih umumnya penggunaan rekam medik manual yang dinilai tak lagi andal menangani data medik melahirkan ide konversi rekam medik manual kertas ke rekam medik elektronik karena efektivitas dan efisiensinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menciptakan aplikasi rekam medik elektronik yang lebih dikenal sebagai EMR (Electronic Medical Record) dari rekam medik kertas di Instalasi Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Umum Ananda Salatiga. Rekam medik elektronik dirancang dengan membuat form-form isian catatan-catatan medik dalam proses perawatan pasien selama dirawat. Data-data medik ini kemudian disimpan dalam basis data sistem dan dikelola secara digital. Setiap kali pengisian data medik pada form-form tertentu, sistem akan menghasilkan kode yang membawa informasi khusus. Pada akhirnya, sistem akan menghasilkan deret kode ICD (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems) dari kode-kode yang dihasilkan pada pengisian form-form catatan medik. Deretan kode-kode ini mampu menggambarkan perkembangan kondisi pasien dan penanganan medik yang diberikan selama perawatan.     Maģistra darba mērķis ir pamatojoties uz apgrozāmo līdzekļu uzskaites teorētisko aspektu jautājumu izpēti, analizēt un novērtēt SIA „Getliņi EKO” apgrozāmo līdzekļu uzskaiti un izstrādāt priekšlikumus to uzskaites pilnveidošanai. Pētot sabiedrību SIA „Getliņi EKO” darba autore, konstatē, ka pastāv virkne nepilnības, kas saistītas ar apgrozāmo līdzekļu uzskaiti. Nav ieviesta kvalitatīva analītiskā uzskaite, kases aparātu uzskaitē nav ievērots vienlīdzīgas uzskaites princips, siltumnīcas ražas uzskaite ir primitīva. Pētījuma rezultātā, pamatojoties uz SIA „Getliņi EKO” esošo uzskaiti un iegūto informāciju pētot pieejamos literatūras avotus, darba autore izstrādā priekšlikumus uzskaites nepilnību novēršanai. Atslēgvārdi: apgrozāmie līdzekļi, krājumu uzskaite, nauda, debitori, novērtējums.The aim of the present paper is to analyse and evaluate the accounting of business assets of “Getliņi EKO” Ltd., as well as to develop suggestions for its improvement, basing on the research of theoretical aspects of business assets accounting. During the research of “Getliņi EKO” Ltd., the author finds several gaps in accounting of business assets. There is no qualitative analytical accounting, the accounting of cash registers lacks the principle of equal accounting, the greenhouse harvest accounting is primitive. As a result of the research, basing on the current accounting at “Getliņi EKO” Ltd., acquired information and available sources of literature, the author of the paper formulates suggestions for correction of accounting flaws.     The Lagos coast - Investigation of the long-term morphological impact of the Eko Atlantic City project

    The Lagos coast has been suffering high rates of erosion since the construction of three harbour moles, i.e. the West Mole, East Mole and the Training Mole, at the tidal inlet connecting the Lagos Lagoon to the South Atlantic Ocean. To provide for a permanent erosion mitigation measure and to create residential and commercial area for circa 400,000 people, the Eko Atlantic City project has been initiated in 2008. In front of the eroded coast, approximately 9 km² of land will be reclaimed and protected by a revetment. In this study the long-term and large-scale morphological behaviour of the Lagos coast is investigated and subsequently the long-term morphological impact of the Eko Atlantic City project is assessed. First, a conceptual model is created, in which the historical development of the coast is discussed. The long-term morphological behaviour of the coast downstream of the inlet is determined by two main factors: sediment accumulation at the West Mole and sediment import into the tidal inlet and the lagoon, induced by disturbance of the morphological equilibrium by sea level rise and dredging activities. Using the numerical simulation model Unibest, the long-term impact of Eko Atlantic City is assessed. It is concluded that the construction of Eko Atlantic City will not change the total erosion volumes occurring downstream of the inlet. However, as the revetment of the project retains the coast, the erosion will be shifted towards downstream. Downdrift of the project, the erosion rates are locally relatively high. The shape of the sea defence has been designed to minimize the local erosion effect. A monitoring and mitigation strategy has been recommended to monitor this effect and to instruct coastal protection management actions to be implemented if required.Coastal EngineeringHydraulic EngineeringCivil Engineering and Geoscience

    Pemodelan Digital Signature Menggunakan RSA untuk Menjaga Keutuhan Citra Digital

    Jaringan komputer dan internet mempermudah proses pertukaran informasi. Masalah yang muncul adalah informasi yang dilewatkan pada jaringan komputer adalah data plaintext. Hal ini beresiko ketika ada pihak lain yang berhasil menyadap informasi ini, akan dapat dengan mudah membaca isi informasi tersebut. Resiko yang lain adalah file yang ditransmisikan dapat diubah atau bahkan diganti secara keseluruhan oleh pihak lain. Digital signature adalah suatu cara matematis untuk menunjukkan keotentikan suatu dokumen. Pada penelitian ini diimplementasikan sebuah aplikasi digital signature, yang dapat menguji keutuhan dan keotentikan. Digital signature diimplementasikan pada citra digital, dengan menggunakan algoritma RSA. Digital signature disisipkan dengan menggunakan algoritma LSB dan EOF sebagai perbandingan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa dengan LSB, citra digital tidak berubah ukurannya, namun mengalami perubahan piksel. Sedangkan dengan EOF berlaku sebaliknya. LSB cocok untuk file gambar bertipe PNG dan BMP. Sedangkan EOF cocok untuk file bertipe PNG, BMP dan JPG.Computer networks and the Internet facilitate the process of information exchange. The problem that arises is the information traveling through a computer network is the plaintext data. It is risky when there are other parties that successfully tapped this information, will be able to easily read the content of the information. Another risk is that the transmitted file can be modified or even replaced in its entirety by the other party. Digital signature is a mathematical way to show the authenticity of a document. In this study, implemented a digital signature application, which can test the integrity and authenticity. Digital signature is implemented on a digital image, using the RSA algorithm. Digital signature is inserted using an algorithm LSB and EOF as comparison. The results show that with the LSB, the digital image is not changing in size, but changes the pixel. Whereas with a valid EOF otherwise. LSB is suitable for the image file of type PNG and BMP. EOF while looking for files of type PNG, BMP and JPG

    Heartbeat/pulse is an important factor in the health sector that determines the health condition ofa person's body. The method of measuring the number of the pulses is still using the manual method bycalculating the rate of the heartbeat/pulse per minute. To know one's pulse, it needs to makemeasurements in the hospital, so not everyone can measure their own pulse. The solution of this problemis the manufacture of human pulse detection device that works automatically in real time and can beconnected with the computer. The purpose of this study is to help people or medical personnel incalculating the pulse rate digitally. The stages of this research is the pulse sensor used to detect thehuman pulse can be put on a three-site measurements, on a finger, ear and forehead, then processed bythe arduino mega 2560 as the central system. The measurement data is Beat Per Minute (BPM) will beshown to the LCD and can be also interfaced into a database using Visual Basic 6.0. The result shows thatthe average pulse measurement by using the tool is 77.3 BPM (Beat Per Minute) and manually is 76 BPM(Beat Per Minute) with the accuracy of this tool reaches 98.32% and it takes 10 seconds to display theaverage value of BPM (Beat Per Minute)

    Rancang Bangun Robot Pemadam Api Menggunakan Komunikasi I2c

    Dalam pembuatan robot pemadam api dibutuhkan perancangan terhadap kemampuan pergerakanrobot, sehingga performa pergerakan robot dapat diperoleh dengan baik. Salah satu kendala dalampergerakan robot adalah proses pengiriman data sensor yang sekarang masih menggunakankomunikasi USART sehingga menghasilkan proses pengiriman data yang tidak stabil.Metodologipenelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah merancang pergerakan robot dengan menggantikomunikasi data USART menjadi komunikasi I2C supaya kinerja robot lebih baik. I2C merupakansistem komunikasi dua arah yang mengunakan dua kabel sebagai media transmisinya, dengan I2Cdapat memperkecil jalur PCB, serta dapat mempercepat proses pengiriman data sensor antarmicrocontroller. Dari hasil ujicoba robot pemadam api yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkanbahwa pengunaan komunikasi I2C data yang dihasilkan pada robot lebih stabil dan pergerakanrobot pemadam api lebih baik dari pada menggunakan komunikasi data USART. Waktu yangditempuh robot dalam untuk 1 kali lintasan dengan menggunakan komunikasi I2C lebih baikdaridapa menggunakan komunikasi USART, dengan perbandingan 1:1,3 dan tingkat keberhasilanrobot dalam memadamkan api sekitar 70%
