Ketahanan Beberapa Aksesi Tembakau Cerutu Terhadap Penyakit Cucumber Mozaic Virus (CMV)
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan beberapa aksesi tembakau cerutu (Nicotiana tabacum L.) terhadap penyakit Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium dan Rumah Kasa Fitopatologi Balai Penelitian Tanaman Tembakau dan Serat Malang, mulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Oktober tahun 2006. Rancangan percobaan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 30 aksesi tembakau cerutu termasuk tanaman kontrol. Unit perlakuan 10 tanaman tiap aksesi. Parameter pengamatan dengan menghitung luas serangan, intensitas serangan dan persentase daun yang terserang pertanaman. Inokulasi dilakukan pada umur dua minggu setelah tanam pada tiga helai daun bagian atas yang telah membuka secara mekanis setelah ditaburi carborundum 600 mess. Ekstrak daun tembakau yang sakit dalam buffer fosfat pH 7 dioleskan secara merata menggunakan kapas steril. Pengamatan dilakukan satu minggu setelah inokulasi dengan interval satu minggu. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan ketahanan aksesi tembakau cerutu terhadap penyakit CMV diperoleh : dua aksesi sangat tahan yaitu S.2234 dan S.2398 dengan rata-rata luas serangan 0,00%

Pengaruh Infeksi Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) Terhadap Morfologi, Anatomi, Dan Kadar Klorofil Daun Tembakau Cerutu
Penyakit virus pada tembakau cerutu menyebabkan kerugian yang cukup besar, yaitu dapat mengurangi produksi sekitar 7–30%. Secara morfologi, daun tembakau yang terserang virus pada umumnya menunjuk-kan gejala mosaik, berkerut atau menggulung, ukurannya menjadi lebih kecil, rapuh, elastisitas dan daya bakarnya menurun. Informasi tentang Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) dalam bidang anatomi dan fisiologi ma-sih sangat sedikit, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menambah informasi tentang pengaruh infeksi CMV terhadap karakter morfologi, anatomi dan fisiologi daun tembakau cerutu. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-November 2011, di Kebun Percobaan Karangploso dan Laboratorium Fitopatologi Balittas, Ma-lang, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 3 ulangan. Inokulum CMV diambil dari tanaman sakit di lapang dan diperbanyak pada tanaman indikator. Inokulasi dilakukan pada tanaman tembakau cerutu varietas H-382 menggunakan sprayer duco type Sagola pada tekanan kompresor 4,5 kg/cm2. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 3 bulan setelah tanam terhadap parameter morfologi, anatomi tanaman dan kadar klorofil daun tembakau pada skor 0–5. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tanaman yang sehat dengan tanaman yang diinfeksi CMV. Makin tinggi tingkat infeksinya, makin besar penurunan luas daun dan kadar klorofil total tanaman tembakau. Penurunan rasio klorofil a/b daun lebih tinggi pada skor 4 dibandingkan skor 5, yaitu sebesar 74%, tetapi kerusakan morfologi paling parah terjadi pada skor 5, dimana terjadi Perubahan bentuk dan secara anatomi terdapat bentukan kranz (spot-spot hitam) pada berkas pembuluh. Virus disease on cigar tobacco causes significant losses on yield, due to reduction on productivity 7–30%. Morphologicaly, tobacco leaf infected by virus generally shows symptoms of mosaic, wrinkled or curled, its size becomes smaller, fragile, elasticity, and burn down. Information about cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) in anatomy and physiology was still slightly, so objective of this study was to determine the effect of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) infection to the character of the morphology, anatomy, and physiology of cigar tobacco leaves. The experiment was conducted in August–November 2011, at the Karangploso Experimental Station and Phytopathology Laboratory of ISFCRI, Malang, using a randomized block design with three replications. CMV was inoculated from diseased plants in the field and propagated on indicator plants. Inoculation was done on cigar tobacco H-382 varieties employing Sagola duco sprayer at a pressure of 4.5 kg/cm2 compressor. Observations were made at 3 months after planting for identifiying morphological and physiological parameters and leaf chlorophyl content of tobacco using score under 0–5. The results showed that there were significant differences between healthy plants and plants infected with CMV. The reduction in leaf area and total chlorophyl content of tobacco plants were greater as the rate of infection was higher.Decreasing in the ratio of chlorophyl a/b leaves was higher on plant with the score index of 4 than the score of 5 by 74%, but the most severe morphological damage occurs in plant with score of 5, indicating by change of shape and kranz formations (black spots) on the vascular bundle

Advances in safe processing of sugarcane and bagasse for the generation of biofuels and bioactive compounds
Sugarcane is a tall, stout, perennial grass with fibrous stalks rich in sucrose used for sugar production. Sugarcane is widely used to produce sugar, ethanol, and other bioactive compounds. However, the processing of sugarcane and its byproduct bagasse can result in negative environmental impacts and safety hazards. Therefore, safe, and sustainable processing methods are crucial for the generation of biofuels and bioactive compounds. Sugarcane and its by-products contain high levels of phytochemicals such as phytosterols, terpenoids, flavonoids, fatty acids, and phenolic acids. The phytochemicals and the microbial populations associated with sugarcane that live in the soil (rhizosphere) and on the surface (phyllosphere) contain a wealth of potentially valuable microbes for industrial applications. Using metagenomics and meta-omics techniques, various microbes have been identified and characterized for their role in breaking down sugarcane bagasse, a substantial source of lignocellulosic biomass. Other valuable products of sugarcane include molasses, which offers an intense flavor, whereas bagasse is used to produce paperboard products, reconstituted panelboard, agricultural mulch, and fuel for the kilns. The sugarcane has tremendous applicability in biofuel production, animal feed additive, and electricity production. Furthermore, the paper provides insights into the challenges and opportunities for the safe and sustainable processing of sugarcane and bagasse. Overall, this review highlights the importance of safe and sustainable processing methods for the generation of biofuels and bioactive compounds from sugarcane and its byproduct bagasse
PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM BERORIENTASI KEWIRAUSAHAAN UNTUK MENDORONG KEMANDIRIAN EKONOMI
This research aims to develop an entrepreneurship-oriented Islamic education curriculum to encourage economic independence among students. In an era of globalization and fierce economic competition, it is important to integrate entrepreneurial values in Islamic education to equip students with the necessary skills in the business world. The research method used is a qualitative approach with observation techniques and documentation studies to evaluate the existing curriculum and design a new curriculum. The results of the study show that an entrepreneurship-oriented Islamic education curriculum can increase students' motivation and entrepreneurial skills, as well as support the development of their economic independence. This study recommends the implementation of an entrepreneurship-based curriculum in Islamic education widely to achieve optimal results.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada kewirausahaan guna mendorong kemandirian ekonomi di kalangan pelajar. Dalam era globalisasi dan persaingan ekonomi yang ketat, penting untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kewirausahaan dalam pendidikan Islam untuk membekali siswa dengan keterampilan yang diperlukan dalam dunia usaha. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan studi dokumentasi untuk mengevaluasi kurikulum yang ada serta merancang kurikulum baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi kewirausahaan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa, serta mendukung pengembangan kemandirian ekonomi mereka. Disabilities in Middle-Grade Literature
This Honors Senior Thesis explores textual themes regarding disability in literary works featuring protagonists with a disability. In particular, it analyzes the role of literature as a way to provide exposure to and connection with the life experiences of a protagonist with a disability. The author then uses that information to generate insight into how she should approach her own creative writing project—a young adult novel portraying the lived experience of a 13-year-old male protagonist with bipolar disorder. The author focuses her attention on three works: Izzy, Willy Nilly (Cynthia Voight, 1986), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Mark Haddon, 2003), and El Deafo (Cece Bell, 2015). Each book depicts a protagonist with a specific, named disability (amputation, ASD, and deafness). She examines how these works express or reject media-perpetuated stereotypes about disability, such as “victim/helplessness” and “inspirational/heroic”. She then offers suggestions about how she will avoid such pitfalls in her own work
ALDEIA LAGOINHA: uma perspectiva indígena de sua história
This course completion work aims to record the trajectory of Aldeia Lagoinha, belonging to the Terena ethnic group and located in the District of Taunay, Aquidauana – MS. Given the responsibility attributed to the younger generation to maintain the narratives of the elders, it was decided to carry out interviews with the alders, bibliographical research, organize photographs belonging to the Terena families that were part of the research, as well as record new photographs, access and consult documents such as school minutes, local churches and community in general, as well as other existing documents. The current chief, Leveson Vicente, leader of the community, highlights the importance of education and sustainable development for future generations. The work is organized into seven subtopics, addressing the structuring, creation and maintenance of the cultural aspects of the Terena community. At the end, directions and the relevance of future research in the construction of documents that maintain the history of the community are presented. This study is not limited to recording the history of Aldeia Lagoinha; It also represents a significant personal achievement for the author and, therefore, for the Terena people. It reinforces the importance of maintaining indigenous memory and culture, through research carried out by indigenous researchers themselves.O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo registrar a história da Aldeia Lagoinha, pertencente à Terra Indígena Taunay/Ipegue, situada no Município de Aquidauana - MS. Diante das responsabilidades atribuídas aos estudantes indígenas pelos moradores ás gerações mais jovens, esperam-se que os estudantes, universitários realizem um registro de sua história para manter as narrativas dos anciãos sempre presente em nossas memórias. Contexto que também atende uma orientação do movimento indígena. Optou-se por realizar entrevistas com os moradores, pesquisas bibliográficas, organizar fotografias pertencentes as famílias terenas que fizeram parte da pesquisa, assim como registrar novas fotografias, acessar e consultar documentos como as atas escolares, das igrejas locais e da comunidade em geral, assim como demais documentos existentes. O cacique atual, Leveson Vicente, líder da comunidade, ressalta a importância da educação para a nova geração. O trabalho está organizado em sete subtópicos, abordando a estruturação, criação e manutenção dos aspectos culturais da comunidade Terena. Ao final, são apresentados os encaminhamentos e a relevância de pesquisas futuras na construção de documentos que mantem a história da comunidade. Este estudo não se limita a registrar a história da Aldeia Lagoinha; representa também uma conquista pessoal significativa para a autora Terena e residente na aldeia e, por conseguinte, para o povo Terena. Reforça a importância de manter a memória e a cultura indígena, por meio das pesquisas realizadas pelos próprios pesquisadores indígenas
