The motif of chrysanthemum in Song ci
Get PDFThe thesis traces emergence of chrysanthemum, a favourite symbol in Chinese poetry, and discusses its various uses within the context of the Song ci poets. The chapters of the thesis focus on precising connotations and their transformations related to the chrysanthemum as one of the most frequently appearing flower motifs in Chinese literature and specification of the literary-historical description of the Song ci and yongwu evolution process. The thesis also aims to present connotations reflecting the evolution of Song lyrics from non-serious tunes to the official poetry, shift in using the motif in shi and ci poems and the presence of Tao Yuanming's and Qu Yuan's chrysanthemum motif in Song ci. It describes the extent in which the genre of Song ci modifies the meaning of motif; how much of the traditional meaning referring to Qu Yuan and Tao Yuanming is preserved and how does the ci genre influence traditional meaning and the general cultural cognizance attached to the motif. Attention is also paid to the process in which the meaning empties itself and becomes an ornamental motif indicating occasion and season of the year and evoking certain mood. Get PDFThe purpose of the thesis research entitled "Space Deixis and Time Deixis in the Film Forensic Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 ) by Hu Guohan" is to determine the types of spatial deixis (locative lexemes, demonstrative lexemes, temporal lexemes) and the forms of time deixis (present time deixes). , time deixis, future time deixis relative time deixis) were the most dominant found. In this study the authors analyzed the form and use of deixis. The researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study is the text that becomes a conversational dialogue in the film Forensic Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 ) by Hu Guohan. Based on the results and discussion, the researcher concludes that space deixis and time deixis in the film Forensic Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 ) The author of Hu Guohan's work found that the results of the research data contained 71 space deixis and time deixis consisting of 28 forms of space deixis and 43 forms of time deixis. In addition, the theory that the research results uses the theory of Bambang K.P (1984: 1) shows that the use of deixis is related to the context of speech. Deixis has meaning if it is considered and can be known through the context of the speech.Tujuan dari penelitian skripsi yang berjudul “Deiksis Ruang dan Deiksis Waktu dalam Film Forensic Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 ) Karya Hu Guohan” adalah untuk mengetahui jenis deiksis ruang (leksem lokatif ,leksem demonstratif ,leksem temporal) dan bentuk deiksis waktu (deiksis waktu kini, deiksis waktu ,deiksis waktu mendatang deiksis waktu relatif) yang paling dominan ditemukan. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menganalisis bentuk dan penggunaan deiksis. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif .Data dalam penelitian ini ialah teks yang menjadi dialog percakapan pada film Forensic Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 )Karya Hu Guohan .Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa deiksis ruang dan deiksis waktu dalam film Forensic Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 ) Karya Hu Guohan penulis menemukan hasil data penelitian ada 71 deiksis ruang dan deiksis waktu yang terdiri atas 28 bentuk deiksis ruang dan 43 bentuk deiksis waktu. Selain itu, teori yang hasil penelitian menggunakan teori dari Bambang K.P ( 1984: 1 )menunjukkan penggunaan deiksis berhubungan dengan konteks tuturan. Traditional Chinese Art Forms: A Literacy Case Study of Song Ci Art Songs
Get PDFSong Ci art songs, originating during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 CE), represent a harmonious blend of classical Chinese poetry and traditional music, embodying profound cultural, historical, and artistic significance. This study investigates the educational significance of Song Ci art songs, focusing on their role in fostering literacy within traditional Chinese art forms. Literacy, in this context, extends beyond reading and writing to encompass cultural interpretation, critical thinking, and artistic appreciation. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, this research was conducted at a cultural education institution in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, renowned for its active engagement with Song Ci art songs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with four key informants, document analysis, and thematic observation of workshops and performances. The findings reveal that Song Ci art songs enhance cultural literacy by engaging learners with the historical, linguistic, and emotional dimensions of Chinese heritage. These songs also promote interdisciplinary learning by integrating poetry, music, and visual arts, while fostering linguistic proficiency, analytical thinking, and artistic creativity. Despite challenges in accessibility due to their complexity, the study highlights the potential of multimedia tools and interactive learning strategies to address these barriers. The research underscores the significance of Song Ci art songs as a medium for preserving cultural heritage and enriching education, offering insights for integrating traditional art forms into modern curricula. Future research should explore cross-cultural applications and technological innovations to further enhance their educational impact

Only a few sources of Ci Pai can be verified, so it becomes very difficult to translate them into English. But as an important part of Ci, it is particularly important.
