Yayın Kritiği: Tarihin Medya ile İmtihanı - Cüneyt Kanat
No full text1980’li yıllardan itibaren, televizyonun evlerdeki yerini alması ile önceleri sinema izleyicisi ile buluşan tarihsel filmler daha geniş kesimlere hitap etmeye başlamıştır. Gerek yazılı medya gerekse görsel medya vasıtasıyla toplum, tarihe daha çok ilgi duymaya başlamış, arz-talep dengesinin kurallarına göre de medya okuyucuya / izleyiciye daha çok ve toplumun talep ettiği tarzda ürünler sunmaya başlamıştır. Ancak genel olarak “kurgu metinler” içeren bu ürünler yoluyla, kurguya dayalı ve toplumun büyük bir kesiminin doğru – yanlış ayrımını yapamayacak bir tarih algısı oluşmuştur. Cüneyt Kanat “Tarihin Medya ile İmtihanı” adlı kitabında tarih – medya ilişkisini bu bağlamda ele alarak toplumun, bu ürünler vasıtasıyla karşı karşıya kaldığı hataları irdelemektedir.Cüneyt Kanat, 1986 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Tarih Bölümünden mezun olmuş, yüksek lisans ve doktorasını Ege Üniversitesi Ortaçağ Tarihi ABD’de tamamlamıştır. Ege Üniversitesi’nde Ortaçağ Tarihi profesörüdür. Tarihin ne olduğu, yıllardan beri sorulagelmiş ve uzun yıllar boyunca sorulmaya ve üzerinde tartışılmaya ve her dönemde, her yeni iktidar ile her yenidünya görüşü ve beklentiler ile değişecek ve dolayısıyla gelişecek olan bir tartışma konusudur. Tarihin Medya ile İmtihanı adlı bu eserde tarihin ne olduğu, tarihyazımının günümüze kadar geçirdiği aşamaları, tarihçinin görevi ve teknoloji odaklı günümüzde medyanın tarihe olan ilgisi ve tarihyazımına olan katkısı ele alınarak değerlendirme yapılmıştır

No full textRuth Guimarães (1920-2014) was an intellectual and writer interpreter of Brazil. In his only novel, "Água funda" (1946) mainly reflected national time as a matrix of coloniality. In the first part of this article, I present the trajectory of the black woman author and the consequences of the erasure she suffered for her contemporary reception. In the second, I analyze some aspects of the novel, highlighting the narrative elaboration as the driver of an Afro-diasporic inscription that raises new interpretations about the nation.Ruth Guimarães (1920-2014) foi uma intelectual e escritora intérprete do Brasil. Em seu único romance, “Água funda” (1946) refletiu principalmente o tempo nacional como uma matriz da colonialidade. Na primeira parte deste artigo, apresento a trajetória da autora negra e as consequências do apagamento que sofreu para sua recepção contemporânea. Na segunda, analiso alguns aspectos do romance, destacando a elaboração narrativa como condutora de uma inscrição afro-diaspórica que suscita novas interpretações acerca da nação

No full textBu çalışmada tarihyazımı, tarihçilik, tarih yazıcılığı, tarih metodoloji ve tarih felsefesi alanlarında yayınlanmış Türkçe kitap, makale, bildiri ve tez çalışmalarının kapsamlı bir bibliyografyası çıkarılmıştır. Çalışmada; kitaplar, kitap bölümleri, makaleler, bildiriler ve tezler ayrı başlıklarda ele alınmıştır. Tarama sonucunda yaklaşık 835 çalışmanın var olduğu görülmüş, bu durum Türkçe literatürde tarihyazımı, yazıcılığı, metodolojisi, felsefesi konularında ciddi bir birikimin olduğunu göstermiştir. Son 20 yılda yapılan yayınlarla tarihyazımı, tarihçilik, tarih yazıcılığı, tarih metodoloji ve tarih felsefesi konularında verilen eserlerin hem sayısında hem de ele aldıkları konularda ciddi bir ilerlemenin olduğu görülmüştür. Bunlardan özellikle kitapların ciddi bir kısmının çeviri olmasına karşın, makalelerin ve bildirilerin telif olması araştırmacı ve akademisyenlerin tarihyazımı alanında kafa yorduklarının bir göstergesi sayılabilir. Bu gelişmenin yaratacağı yeni metodolojik bakışların Türk tarihçiliğini çok daha dünya ölçeğinde eserler vermeye yönelteceği umut edilmektedir. In the last 20 years historiography, methodology of historiography and philosophy of history it is seriously improvement both numbers and their subjects. Although some books are translation, papers and announcements are compilation, so it can confess that researchers and academicians are chewing about historiography. The new methodological apercus according to these pick-ups, it is expected to make more works in diameter of world. Determination of Complex Permittivity of Arbitrarily Shaped Homogenous Materials via Waveguide Measurements
No full textIn this study, complex permittivity of arbitrarily shaped homogenous materials loaded in different shaped waveguides (rectangular waveguide and circular waveguide) is determined through an iterative inverse algorithm. S-parameters are calculated for chosen material numerically via Method of Moments (MoM), in place of real measurement data for sake of testing algorithm as a first step. Inverse algorithm depends on calculating transmission-reflection coefficients (two port S parameters) with respect to updated complex permittivity, started with an initial guess. At each step, calculated S parameters (either Si) and/or Su) can be used to update complex permittivity in sense of Newton-Raphson numerical approach. Problem is reduced to finding the roots of iterative equation, which is a function of complex permittivity

Caracterização do Espaço Livre Público do Terminal Barra Funda, Município de São Paulo, SP:: Infraestrutura, Composição Florística e Percepção Ambiental
No full textThe rapid growth of the city is the result of population growth, and this brings about the commitment of the quantity and quality of its open spaces and green areas. This study aimed to report the perception of passersby on the public space Barra Funda Terminal, as well as its plant diversity. To collect data in that space interviews were conducted with a semi-structured and quantitative and qualitative surveys of existing infrastructure and vegetation. The script consisted of qualitative questions that were recorded and transcribed by the author and quantitative questions, using assertive and Likert scale to obtain answers. They identified 65 individuals, distributed in 7 plants and belonging to 7 species botanical families. The public space around the Terminal Barra Funda is perceived in different ways among the people passing by this location. A party perceives this site as green space area and with good cleaning while others realize how bad location without structure and maintenance, and lack of security.O crescimento acelerado da cidade é resultante do aumento populacional, e traz como consequência o comprometimento da quantidade e qualidade de seus espaços livres e áreas verdes. Este trabalho teve como objetivo relatar a percepção de passantes em relação ao espaço público do Terminal Barra Funda, assim como sua diversidade vegetal. Para a coleta de dados, no referido espaço, foram realizadas entrevistas, com um roteiro semi-estruturado e levantamentos quanti-qualitativos da infraestrutura e vegetação existentes. O roteiro consistiu em perguntas qualitativas que foram gravadas e transcritas pela autora e perguntas quantitativas, utilizando-se assertivas e a escala likert para a obtenção de respostas. Na análise da vegetação, foram identificados 65 indivíduos, distribuídos em 7 espécies vegetais e pertencentes a 7 famílias botânicas. Diálogos intertextuais e traços memorialísticos em A solidão mais funda, de Ângela Vilma
No full textABSTRACT: This article analyzes the poetic production of the book A solidão mais funda, by the author from Bahia Ângela Vilma, from the perspective that there are two movements in the work. In the first, there are poems that try to dialogue with canonical authors, such as Fernando Pessoa, Cecília Meireles, Vinícius de Moraes, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Manuel Bandeira, among others. In the second, there is a memorialistic trace, heir above all from Herberto Sales, an author whose work the poet had read since her adolescence. For this, we use the concepts of remembrance and reminiscence of Walter Benjamin (1892-1940), according to which the writer's act of remembering comes not only from his recollection, but also articulates memory and creative imagination, which is also treated by Gaston Bachelard (1884-1962). Thus, the poet starts from recollections, consciously or unconsciously: sometimes reconfiguring them according to the imagination of the lyrical self, sometimes fictionalizing them, making the reader live again their subjectivities.RESUMO: O presente artigo analisa a produção poética do livro A solidão mais funda, da autora baiana Ângela Vilma, sob a perspectiva de que existem, na obra, dois movimentos. No primeiro, poemas que ensaiam dialogar com autores canônicos, como Fernando Pessoa, Cecília Meireles, Vinícius de Moraes, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Manuel Bandeira, entre outros. No segundo, está presente o traço memorialístico, herdeiro sobretudo de Herberto Sales, autor cuja obra a poeta lia desde a adolescência. Para isso, valemo-nos dos conceitos de recordação e reminiscência de Walter Benjamim (1892-1940), segundo o qual, o ato de lembrar do escritor provém não só de sua rememoração, como também articula memória e imaginação criativa, que também é tratado Gaston Bachelard (1884-1962). Assim, a poeta parte de rememorações, consciente ou inconscientemente: ora reconfigurando-as segundo a imaginação do eu-lírico, ora ficcionalizando-as, fazendo o leitor reviver suas subjetividades.
 
Current Trends in Computer Use of Elementary School Students: An International Comparison
No full textAbstractThe findings from various researches on technology diffusion and ICT utilization in education point out the importance of student factor in integration of technology into education. Students’ choice of how to use ICT is an important determinant that increases or decreases the benefit from ICT utilization. In this study, we investigate and compare students’ choice of how to use computers based on gender and computer availability at home and school variables. In the study, we analyze data on 276,731 15-years old elementary school students. This study has an extensive coverage including 41 countries. The data are collected by ICT Familiarity Component for the Student Questionnaire (2009) and obtained from Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) database. The fourth, fifth, and sixty questions in the Students’ Questionnaire are about computer use trends of students at home and school. We test whether the computer use trends of students at home and school differ based on whether they have access to computers at home and school as well as their gender. Our findings show that gender is one of important factors on computer use trends. We also find that access to computers at home and school has also an impact on students’ trends in various ways

No full textO artigo pretende destacar a contribuição que Ruth Guimarães (1920-2014) trouxe à comunidade literária com seu romance Água Funda, de 1946. A carreira da autora deu-se a partir do encontro com Mário de Andrade, aqui analisado, que inseriu sua escrita dentro de anseios significativos da estética modernista. O texto demonstra também como o romance banhou-se no pioneirismo que seu conterrâneo, Valdomiro Silveira, teria feito a partir do material folclórico e linguístico da região do Vale do Paraíba, conseguindo Ruth, por sua vez, superar problemas que o escritor pré-modernista teria enfrentado ao tentar dar vitalidade e naturalidade àquele dialeto caipira. Água Funda recria de modo ímpar o que a autora chamou de “aquela filosofia que só se encontra na linguagem do povo”, agregando contribuições da cultura oral ameríndia, nagô e europeia, também retratadas no seu estudo folclórico sobre o medo, de 1950. Dessa forma, traz a perspectiva feminina de quem cresceu dentro daquele sistema simbólico, invocando assim o conceito de ‘escrevivência’, de Conceição Evaristo, e o chamado ‘lugar de fala’, formado a partir da contribuição de Gayatri Spivak e Linda Alcoff, nos anos 1980, e, hoje, uma das maiores bandeiras da crítica cultural feminista.The article gives light to Água Funda (1946), Ruth Guimarães\u27s first novel. The author’s career had a starting point in an encounter with Mário de Andrade, developed here, which puts her writing into significative approaches of the modernist aesthetics. The text also shows how it was influenced by the pioneerism of her townsman Valdomiro Silveira, when dealing with the folk culture and linguistics from Vale do Paraíba area. Ruth, however, could overcome some of the difficulties he had faced when shaping this ‘caipira’ dialect into something vivid and natural. Água Funda recreates uniquely what her author called “that philosophy one finds only in the common people’s language”, bringing together contributions from oral cultures, such as the Brazilian native American, the Nagô and the European ones, which are also part of her folk study about the fear, from 1950. This way she brings the perspective of a woman who was brought up into that symbolic system, related to the concept of ‘escrevivência’ by Conceição Evaristo and to the ‘place of speech’ one, formed in the 1980’s with the Gayatri Spivak and Linda Alcoff’s contribution to one of the major issues of the cultural feminist criticism today. 
The Author in Conflict in the 20th Century Explicit Poetics
No full textA partir del cambio en la noción de autor que tiene lugar en la década de los sesenta del pasado siglo, este trabajo aborda el conflicto que surge al tratar de comprender desde esta perspectiva la idea de autor en las poéticas explícitas, un género que tradicionalmente se funda en la estrecha identificación entre autor textual y autor biográfico. Se cuestiona la idea de un autor previo al texto y se explora la construcción de la figura de autor, mostrando todas sus complejidades.Beginning with the new approaches to understanding author in the decade of the 60’s, this work aims to present the conflict which this notion set out when it is confronted with explicit poetics, a genre with an apparently unbreakable link between textual author and biographical author.
