    Dynamics System Modeling Approach in Node Mobility on Mobile Ad-hoc Network

    Movement of the nodes in a mobile ad-hoc network is affected by distance and strong transmit / receive signal between neighboring nodes to each other, so how the mobility of the nodes in the network connection can maintain connectivity in the line-of-sight is emerging challenges in the dynamics system. In mobile ad-hoc network each connection connectivity is temporary, so the topology changes that appear along with the mobility of the nodes in constructing communication calls will change the position of the transmitter and receiver. This research has been done on modeling the dynamics system approach for each node mobility scenarios were created based on the selected tests and determined. With quantitative methods used involve tools that can observe the data streaming process in real-time, the results obtained demonstrate the system dynamics can serve to test the mobility of the nodes that occur in mobile ad-hoc network is able to maintain a connection connectivity between each neighboring node

    Teknik Embedded-system dalam Terapannya untuk membangun Sistem Deteksi Akses-masuk Illegal

    Implementasi embedded-system saat ini terlihat pada sebuah music-player bahkan video-player bahwa dapat menjalankan data file dari sebuah flash-disk, yang awalnya disk atau cassette. Pada penelitian ini telah diterapkan teknik embedded-systems untuk membangun sistem deteksi akses masuk illegal dengan menggabungkan sensor PIR, mikrokontroler, dan SMS-Gateway. Perancangan sistem difokuskan pada penggabungan sensor PIR dengan Sismin yang telah diintegrasikan dengan mikrokontroler ATMega16; selanjutnya setiap deteksi masukan dari sensor PIR dikirimkan kepada luaran mikrokontroler melalui SMS-Gateway. Untuk dukungan SMS-Gateway digunakan ponsel dengan menggunakan antar-muka RS232 dB9. Nomor tujuan ditanamkan langsung melalui pemrograman C dengan tools CodeVisionAVR ke internal-memory mikrokontroler. Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan jarak efektif objek terhadap sensor 1 meter, sedangkan propagation-delay informasi diterima oleh nomor tujuan pada saat pengujian rata-rata 22.1 detik.     Manet As A Solution Network Implementation In The Provision Of Services In Regional Disaster Information

    The concept of a wireless network is a packet radio network that uses as its transmission medium. Wireless network is based on the configuration mode is divided into Infrastructure and Ad-Hoc. Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a wireless network from the set of nodes that are not set to use a specific topology. Each node is limited by the coverage area of communication depending on each network card that connects to each other. The software used for information services is a web blog that is written in PHP and CMS (Content Management System) which is called wordpress. Some characteristics of MANET networks using a dynamic topology resulting from frequent changes in node positions. Therefore, we need a protocol that can handle this problem, where in this project used protocol OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing) in MANET networks for information services in disaster areas.     PERANCANGAN ANTAR-MUKA PENGGUNA DAN APLIKASI PEMBELAJARAN ON-LINE

    Peran antar-muka pengguna dan aplikasi sangat bermanfaat untuk membangun interaksi antara end-user dan sistem aplikasi yang berjalann. Interaksi antara end-user terhadap aplikasi di hadapannya direpresentasikan dalam bentuk sejumlah fitur dan halaman antar-muka; baik dalam bentuk penyampaian informasi satu-arah maupun form input-an yang harus diberikan oleh end-user. Ada tiga aspek utama yang harus diperhatikan dalam membangun desain antar-muka pengguna dan aplikasi, yakni: warna, cara penyajian materi/content, dan isi materi yang dibahas. Pada penelitian ini telah dibangun sebuah desain antar-muka pengguna dan aplikasi pembelajaran on-line dengan menggunakan metode design-thinking; sedangkan hasil desain diuji menggunakan  Mean-Opinion-Score dan Black-Box. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan untuk sejumlah aspek yang diuji, responden memberikan persepsi di tingkat relatif baik. Demikian juga dalam hal fitur-fitur yang dibuat telah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan skenario perancangan. Telah diuji juga rangkaian perpindahan antar-halaman pada setiap modul-modul pembelajaran yang dibuat. Dan disimpulkan bahwa aspek warna, cara penyajian materi/content, dan isi materi yang dibahas sangat berperan penting dalam keluwesan end-user menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran on-line.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    Otomasi perkakas dan instrumen adalah serangkaian transformasi mekanisme pekerjaan manusia dari manual menjadi berbasiskan komputerisasi. Tujuannya adalah efisiensi waktu kerja serta efektivitas pekerjaan dalam memenuhi produktivitas produksi agar dimungkinkan selalu tercapai. Dengan terciptanya transformasi pekerjaan manual menjadi otomasi berbasiskan otomatisasi, lebih khusus lagi dengan adanya dukungan sistem komputer, memunculkan teknik kontrol otomatik dalam menggantikan pekerjaan-pekerjaan yang semestinya bukan dilakukan oleh seorang manusia. Beberapa contoh yang menyangkut hal ini misalnya proteksi instrumen atau penggunaan perkakas, pencegahan kerusakan khususnya akibat kebakaran, atau dalam hal produktivitas penggunaan energi. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan implementasi teknik kontrol otomatik pada suatu tempat tinggal yang diformulasikan dalam bentuk maket rumah pintar terpadu. Modul-modul dalam rumah pintar merupakan hasil embedded dari berbagai modul kontrol otomatik yang dijalankan menggunakan modul sistem komputer. Cakupan pembahasan dan perancangan difokuskan pada: pintu-gerbang, otomasi lampu dan kipas secara kontrol-otomatik, deteksi dini kebakaran, dan otentikasi ruang yang diproteksi dari akses user yang tidak memiliki ijin-masuk. Pengujian dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan pengamatan langsung terhadap hasil pembuatan setiap modul yang dikembangkan menggunakan teknik kontrol otomatik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses embedded-system dari teknik kontrol otomatik yang dibangun pada berbagai modul kerja dapat memberikan keadaan signifikan dalam membantu pekerjaan dan menjaga dari situasi darurat
