The author in terms of stylistic perspective analyzes the scientific activity of Ukrainian linguist V.M. Rusanivsky about development of literary language, its stylistic representation and personalities, precedent for Ukrainian literary language and culture

Resistant moulds as pasteurization target for cold distributed high pressure and heat assisted high pressure processed fruit products

Part of this study was presented by Filipa V.M. Silva at XII Congresso IberoAmericano de Engenharia de Alimentos (CIBIA, IberoAmerican Congress of Food Engineering), Challenging Food Engineering as a Driver Towards Sustainable Food Processing, 1–4 July 2019, Faro, PortugalHigh pressure processing (HPP), also known as high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) is a modern method of food pasteurization used commercially in many countries. It relies on the application of very high pressures (up to 600 MPa) to the food/beverage to inactivate microorganisms. Since no heat or mild heat is applied, most of the original food sensory, nutrient and functional properties are retained after processing, and fresh-like fruit products with longer shelf-life are produced. In this study, a review of the resistance to HPP and HPTP (high pressure thermal process) of key bacteria, moulds and yeasts which often contaminate fruit products was un dertaken. Spores of moulds Byssochlamys nivea - anamorph name Paecilomyces niveus or Neosartorya fischeri - anamorph name Aspergillus fischeri, are very resistant. A HPTP process of 600 MPa-75ºC-15 min only caused a reduction of 1.4 log. Moulds are able to grow at temperatures between 10 and 43 ºC, water activity between 0.892 and 0.992, over a wide range of pH (3–8), under reduced oxygen conditions inside food packs and in carbonated beverages, sometimes producing mycotoxins. Furthermore, HPP treated fruit products are cold stored, and therefore moulds can be an issue as they grow at temperatures as low as 10 ºC. Therefore, in view of the acidity of fruit products, the high resistance to HPTP in particular older spores, the use of B. nivea or N. fischeri spores as reference microorganisms in the design of new HPP and HPTP processes with fruit products was proposedinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

“V.M. Bekhterev Review of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology” — History of the First Psychiatric Journal in Russia

    No full text
The article presents the historical facts oт the creation of the first psychiatric journal in Russia (1896). The organizer of the journal and its first editor-in-chief was V.M. Bekhterev. After his death in 1927, the journal was named after him. It had been published until its closure in 1930. For various reasons, some of which are discussed in the article, the journal has not been published for six decades. The organizational difficulties of registering printed materials that existed at that time are also described. Nevertheless, they were overcome, and in 1990 the USSR State Press Committee issued the Order «On the resumption of publication of the journal...». The journal received a Registration Certificate and was assigned to almost the highest group of central journals. All financing was assigned to the Leningrad branch of the publishing house «Medicine», and the journal was printed in the fabulous in modern reality figure of 20,000 copies per month. After the collapse of the USSR in 1991, this Order ceased to be valid, and the whole thing had to be started all over again. Nevertheless, the first issue of the journal was published in 1991. Its release has been expected not only in Russia, but also abroad. The first issue included a welcoming speech by the President of the World Psychiatric Association, Jorge Alberto Costa e Silva, which attracted even more attention towards the journal. In 1992, the American Psychiatric Association published an English-language digest of the journal in the United States. For some time the journal was also published in Paris (1998-2000) and in Moscow (2004-2011). Currently, the journal is published by its founder, the V.M. Bekhterev National Medical Research Center for Psychiatry and Neurology in St. Petersburg and is one of the most renowned journals in the field of psychiatry and medical psychology in Russia

Thermodynamic Scaling Functions Of Three-dimensional Anisotropic Superconductors In The Presence Of A Magnetic Field With Arbitrary Direction

    No full text
A nonperturbative method for the evaluation of thermodynamic scaling functions in the critical region of three-dimensional anisotropic type-II superconductors is extended for the case of external magnetic fields with arbitrary angles with respect to the anisotropy axis. The calculations are carried out in the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau theory. Explicit relations are obtained for the angular dependence of the magnetization and specific heat. Our theoretical results are in good agreement with experiments performed in untwinned single crystals of YBa2Cu3O7-δ.2201525529Salem-Sugui S., Jr., Da Silva, E.Z., (1994) Solid State Commun., 90, p. 647Da Silva, E.Z., Salem-Sugui S., Jr., (1994) Physica, 235-240 C, p. 1919(1996) Physica, 257 C, p. 173Welp, U., Fleshler, S., Kwok, W.K., Klemm, R.A., Vinokur, V.M., Downey, J., Veal, B., Crabtree, G.W., (1991) Phys. Review of a New Textbook On International Law Shumiliov V.M. "International Law": textbook.-Moscow: Pubbshing house "Welby", 2007,486 p.

    No full text
The new textbook by Shumilov V.M. stands out among more than twenty other textbooks on international law. Apart from the distinction of the book in organization of its content it also dwells on international law issues and questions of international law science, which were omitted or unnoticed by the authors of the other textbooks. The following features of the book can be singled out. First, the author introduces the notion of "international system" which forms the framework of the textbook. Further the author separates the international system into several "layers": economic, cultural, etc. Second the author employs the concept of "civilization approach" which is nowadays actively used in liberal arts and social sciences. Third, the problem of the system of international law is elaborated upon. For example, the author advances the hypothesis that there are several branches and institutions of international law which are in the process of formation such as international administrative law. The book also includes such topics as state interests, ideological basis of the elaboration of international legal norms. The fact that deserves attention is that for the first time in the textbook of this kind a list of suggested topics for PhD theses is published. Another feature of the book is that the author tries to avoid difficult for comprehension constructions and instead uses clear and easy-to-understand phrases. The reviewer comes to a conclusion that after the publication of the new textbook by Shumilov V.M. the international law as a science and a classroom discipline will make a great step towards its further development
