CERITA RAKYAT PUTRI JAMBUL EMAS BAGI MASYARAKAT ACEH: ANALISIS STRUKTURAL LEVI-STRAUSS (Putri Jambul Emas Folklore for Aceh People: Levi-Strauss Structural Analysis)
This study aims to describe the analysis of the Putri Jambul Emas with the Levi-Strauss structural theory. The data source of this research was Putri Jambul Emas, which was originally entitled Putroe Gumbak Meuh which was translated into Indonesian by Ramli Harun. The data collection technique was done by readingand taking notes, namely reading accompanied by careful and thorough recording of the whole story. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This technique is carried out through 1) identification, 2) classification, 3) interpretation, and 4) inference. The results show that the structural analysis of the myth of Putroe Geumbak Meuh (Putri Jambul Emas) has provided a description of the reality of life of the Acehnese people and can even be linked to the values of local wisdom, history, regional resilience, children's devotion to their parents, choosing a life partner, the religiosity of the Acehnese people, and people's views on virginity.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis Putri Jambul Emas dengan teori Struktural Levi-Strauss. Sumber data penelitian ini Putri Jambul Emas yang semula berjudul Putroe Gumbak Meuh yang dialihbahasakan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Ramli Harun. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan baca catat, yaitu pembacaan disertai dengan pencatatn dengan cermat dan teliti keseluruhan cerita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik ini dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah, 1) identifikasi, 2) pengklasifikasian, 3) interpretasi, dan 4) inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis struktural terhadap mitos Putroe Geumbak Meuh (Putri Jambul Emas) ini telah memberikan deskripsi mengenai realitas kehidupan masyarakat Aceh bahkan bisa dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal, sejarah, ketahanan wilayah, rasa bakti anak terhadap orang tua, memilih pasangan hidup, religiusitas masyarakat Aceh, dan pandangan masyarakat terhadap virginitas.
INISIASI RONGGENG DALAM NOVEL RONGGENG DUKUH PARUK KARYA AHMAD TOHARI KAJIAN RESPON ESTETIK
This study aims to describe the world of ronggeng in Ahmad Tohari's novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk in terms of Wolfgang Iser's Aesthetic Response theory. The source of research data is the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari published in 2011 by PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama. The data collection technique was done by reading notes, namely reading accompanied by careful and thorough recording of the whole novel related to the ronggeng repertoire. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This technique is carried out through the steps 1) reading, 2) identification, 3) classification, 4) interpretation, and 5) inference. The results showed that 1) Through reading based on Iser's repertoire theory, the culture revealed in the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel can be seen. The culture that was revealed was the culture of the Javanese people, especially the existence of the traditional ronggeng art; 2) Peronggengan in Java, traditionally cannot be separated from the initiation of "peronggengan" as a prerequisite for someone to become ronggeng; and 3) There is a pergowokan profession whose existence intersects with the world of ronggeng. Children’s Literature as Learning Media to Improve Children’s Language Skills
This article aims to describe children's literature as a means of learning language skills for children. Children's literature is literature aimed at children. Children's literature is literature that reflects the feelings and experiences of children through children's views on topics that are close to the child's world, including humans, fauna, and flora. Through literature, a child indirectly learns language skills as well. Children's literature is also important because it teaches young learners a variety of lessons. It also gives them opportunities to engage with literature; teaches them an appreciation for their cultural heritage; fosters emotional intelligence and creativity; fosters the growth and development of the children’s personality and social skills; and conveys important literature from one generation to the next. Children's literature needs to be developed and taught from an early age so that young learners have good personalities and are knowledgeable. It can be a valuable resource, particularly in language teaching. Learning language skills is applied through the introduction of three literary genres, namely: 1) poetry in the form of children's songlines and children's rhymes; 2) prose in the form of fantasy fairy tales and folk tales; and 3) drama in the form of stories with simple dialogues
Pengembangan Program “Infanteri Matematika†Di Wilayah 4P
Program “INFANTERI MATEMATIKAâ€Â bertujuan untuk menyediakan wahana bagi mahasiswa menerapkan pengetahuan yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan dan ikut berperan serta dalam pembangunan Sumber Daya Manusia di Wilayah Pedalaman, Perbatasan, Pesisir, dan Perkotaan (4P). Kata Infanteri dalam hal ini diartikan sebagai Kaum Intelektual Muda (mahasiswa) yang membuka jalan untuk perkembangan pendidikan matematika. Disebut pembuka jalan karena sasaran dari program ini adalah anak usia dini yang baru mulai mengenal matematika. Matematika dipilih sebagai muatan yang disampaikan karena matematika memberikan sumbangsih yang cukup besar dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan pengembangan pola pikir anak/generasi muda.           Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu mengikuti alur Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Adapun alurnya, yaitu diawali dengan Studi Pendahuluan, Penyusunan Program, Pengembangan Program, dan Validasi Program. Dalam pengembangan Program, dilakukan uji coba lapangan. Uji coba lapangan dilakukan dengan mengirim empat orang mahasiswa sebagai Infanteri Matematika (IfMat) ke empat sekolah sasaran yaitu SD N 08 Long Peso di Desa Long Buang (Pedalaman), SD N 06 Sebatik Tengah (Perbatasan), SD N 04 Biduk-biduk (Pesisir), dan SD N Utama Satu Tarakan (Perkotaan). Keempat IfMat bertugas mengenalkan Matematika kepada siswa kelas 1 di masing-masing sekolah sasaran.Setelah dilaksanakan seleksi, mahasiswa yang terpilih menjadi IfMat diantaranya: 1) Febriyan untuk wilayah Perbatasan, Kirin Esa Putri untuk wilayah Perkotaan, Ismail untuk wilayah Pedalaman, dan Lisa Rosalia Arisanti untuk wilayah Pesisir. Keempat mahasiswa tersebut melaksanakan Program Infanteri Matematika di wilayah masing-masing dengan subjek coba adalah anak usia pra-sekolah dan anak kelas 1 SD. Beberapa manfaat yang diberikan sebagai dampak dari program ini diantaranya memperbaiki kesalahan pemahaman siswa tentang penulisan lambang bilangan, melatih keterampilan siswa menulis lambang bilangan, mengajak siswa bermain yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan matematika. Penyebutan istilah matematika dalam proses pembelajaran sangat dikurangi, dan proses belajar sambil bermain diterapkan untuk menghindari konflik kognitif pada anak usia dini. Kata kunci: Perbatasan, Pedalaman, Pesisir, Perkotaan, Infanteri, Matematika, Pra-Sekolah
PROPHET KHIDIR IN KUNTOWIJOYO’S NOVEL WASRIPIN DAN SATINAH: WOLFGANG ISER’S AESTHETIC RESPONSE ANALYSIS
This study aims to describe and reveal the meaning of the figure of the Prophet Khidir as a repertoire in Kuntowijoyo's Wasripin dan Satinah novel in terms of Wolfgang Iser's Aesthetic Response theory. This study is qualitative descriptive, and the data source is the novel Wasripin dan Satinah published by Kompas Publisher in 2003. Using a note-taking technique of all novels related to the Prophet Khidir’s repertoire, it obtained the data. The technique was through 1) identification, 2) classification, 3) interpretation, and 4) inference. The results showed that 1) the figure of the Prophet Khidir in the novel Wasripin dan Satinah was an earlier reference in the text used by Kuntowijoyo as the basis or background for creating his novel. The transformed story of the Prophet Khidir in the Al-Qur'an has a different storyline. 1) In the Al-Qur'an, Prophet Khidir was approached by Prophet Musa to learn. Meanwhile, in the novel Wasripin and Satinah, the Prophet Khidir came to Wasripin to give his knowledge. 2) The novel Wasripin dan Satinah which represents the figure of Prophet Khidir, has given rise to myths in the lives of Javanese people. 3) an intention conveyed by Kuntowijoyo in presenting the figure of the Prophet Khidir in his work, namely a lesson not to be shirk by glorifying or deifying someone who has superior abilities
Bahasa Seksualitas dalam Nayla Karya Djenar Maesa Ayu (Kajian Stilistika)
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahasa seksualitas dalam Nayla Karya Djenar Maesa Ayu menggunakan teori stilistika. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Nayla karya Djenar Maesa Ayu yang diterbitkan tahun 2005 oleh PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Gambaran angan-angan yang dominan terhadap Nayla yakni citraan penglihatan, citraan gerak, citraan pendengaran, dan citraan intelektual. Keseluruhan citraan ini sengaja dihadirkan untuk memberikan kejernihan penceritaan dan maksud yang akan di sampaikan kepada pembaca dan 2) pemajasan yang dominan terdapat dalam novel Nayla, yaitu penggunaan bahasa perbandingan (simile) dan pengulangan (repetisi).Kata kunci : bahasa seksualitas, nayla, stilistika
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
