Jika penyerapan panas yang terdapat pada mesin dapat terurai maka mesin sanggup bekerja dengan lancar tanpa mengalami kerusakan akibat panas yang dihasilkan akan tetapi selama ini belum adanya kajian mendalam tentang alat penukar panas radiator . kajian yang selama ini dilakukan pada radiator hanya sekedar menguji seberapa besar kinerja proses pelepasan panas dengan beberapa variasi – variasi pengujian yang diantaranya adalah pengujian kapasitas, pengujian temperatur dan juga pengujian laju aliran fluida baik yang masuk maupun keluar. Sehingga diperlukan kajian mendalam tentang kinerja radiator dalam melakukan proses pelepasan panas dengan pengujian eksperimen. Validasi yang akan dilakukan didasarkan pada data eksperimen yang telah dilakukan pada radiator (assy st-100) mobil Suzuki carry yang berupa trainer dilabotarium perpindahan panas dengan pengujian variasi temperatur dan variasi laju aliran fluida. Pada penelitian ini akan melakukan variasi kecepatan laju aliran beserta temperatur akan tetapi dari hasil masing – masing simulasi akan ditampilkan dalam bentuk kontur distribusi temperature pada masing – masing tube yang berada pada pipa. Hasil dari penelitian ekperimen ini menghasilkan nilai perpindahan panas pada trainer kapasitas radiator dengan dilakukan eksperimen yang dimana dihasilkan nilai perpindahan panas secara konveksi paksa dari masing – masing variasi laju aliran dan temperatur sebagai berikut, suhu 45ºC dengan variasi laju aliran 2,4 LPM sebesar 0,713 watt; 2 LPM sebesar 0,355 watt; 1,8 LPM sebesar 0,183 watt. Suhu 50ºC dengan variasi laju aliran 2,4 LPM sebesar 1,210 watt; 2 LPM sebesar 0,702 watt; 1,8 LPM sebesar 0,432 watt, suhu 55ºC dengan variasi laju aliran 2,4 LPM sebesar 1,256 watt; 2 LPM sebesar 0,822 watt; 1,8 LPM sebesar 0,65. Sehingga dari perhitungan tersebut dapat dilihat dapat diketahui bahwa semakin tinggi suhu yang dimasukan semakin tinggi pula nilai perpindahan panas yang terjadi akan tetapi dari semua hasil yang diperoleh, nilai laju aliran juga memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam membantu pelepasan panas yang terdapat pada fluida didalam radiator. The development of societies changed significantly the role of libraries and posed new technological and other challenges due to the development of information technologies.
Since the development of information technologies caused expansion of production capacities in societies there was additional need to standardize production of formats of access, distribution, archiving of information. Due to democratic character of many developed societies openness of information and human rights emphasized an importance of legal aspects and rights of persons with disabilities. Author mentioned articles of the UN Convention of Rights of Persons with Disabilities which required that parties which ratified convention should implement accessibility standards for persons with disabilities. Author presented standards and technical specifications that define accessibility of web interface, computer software and file formats. It is especially emphasized that those standards are important in libraries. Modern libraries should adopt and use file formats which are accessible for persons with disabilities in order to avoid risk of increased discrimination against persons with disabilities if inaccessible technologies will be used. Author believes that this would help persons with disability to use library resources and services equally as other users do.
Pronunciation Errors Made by the Students of Transactional Speaking

One research question asked what are the pronunciation errors faced by the Transactional Speaking students in English Department of Satya Wacana Christian University. 16 participants participated in this study. The data were collected from minimal pair and reading story tests. To pin point the students` pronunciation errors, two native speaker teachers were involved in both tests. The results of this study show that based on minimal pair test the 5 consonants /z/, /θ/, /ʒ/, /g/ and /t∫/ and 5 vowels /ɔ/, /e/, /oʊ/, /aʊ/ and /ε/ were difficult to pronounce and based on reading story test the sounds /d/, /t/, /i/ and /aI/ caused errors in the students` pronunciation, also the sounds /v/, /∫/, /dʒ/, /ð/, /I/ and /æ/ proved to be problematic to the students

No full textMaurice Benyowsky's colourful version of his global adventures during the heady, expansive days of the late-Enlightenment remains still as an historical account, and is perhaps destined for reification at a time of romantic, postmodernist cultural affirmation. Yet this paper argues that within it there lies a virile and possibly dangerous Orientalism, one at least partially based upon a lurid, opportunistic and self-seeking fabrication of his visit to Taiwan (Formosa) in the year 1771. This paper examines the veracity, provenance and historiography of the Benyowsky account of late-eighteenth century Formosa, both as an exercise in one facet of Taiwanese history and as some exploration of the origin and maintenance of European views of the "other" and of the "orient" as they were transforming during the late-Enlightenment period. Furthermore a principal task is to provide an historiographical analysis that illustrates both the initial reasons for the acceptance of Benyowsky's lurid account as well as the wider contexts of its long life as a seemingly reliable and authentic tale. Questions remain as to the cultural contexts of any general acceptance of otherwise doubtful stories, experiments, claims and "adventures". Here there is little doubt that the original Memoirs were given greater credence by Benyowsky's talent in self-fashioning his character and status as those of a reliable gentleman

No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis masalah efektifitas pengelolaan perpustakaan di perpustakaan STMIK STIKOM Indonesia ditinjau dari segi Context, Input, Process, dan Product, serta kendala-kendala yang dihadapi selama pelaksanaan program dan yang mungkin terjadi jika program dilanjutkan. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di Perpustakaan STMIK STIKOM Indonesia dengan melibatkan ketua STIKI, pustakawan, dosen, dan mahasiswa. Penentuan responden ditunjuk secara stratified random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian ex post facto, dan data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis secara deskriptif-kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuisioner, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan formula T skor yang selanjutnya dikonversi ke dalam Kuadran Glickmann. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen konteks, input, proses, dan produk menghasilkan kategori positif (+ + + +) yang masuk ke dalam kuadran I (sangat efektif). Pada komponen konteks, input, dan proses terdapat kendala kurang efektif pada responden kepala perpustakaan dan pustakawan, sedangkan pada komponen produk tidak ditemukan kendala. </jats:p

No full textTechnology plays a very important role in learning activities in the digital era. In practice, learning activities in the INSTIKI class have not utilized technology optimally, especially the use of digital platforms to support mathematics learning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of e-learning-based learning assisted by Geogebra on computer mathematics learning outcomes by controlling spatial ability. This study included a quasi-experimental design with a single factor independent groups design with the use of covariate. The sample was selected by purposive sampling of 61 people who were divided into two groups. The data collection method used a spatial ability test instrument to measure students' spatial abilities, as well as a learning outcome test instrument to measure computer mathematics learning outcomes. Data analysis methods consisted of descriptive statistics, analysis prerequisite tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the average score of computer mathematics learning outcomes between the experimental group and the control group after spatial ability was controlled. From the results of the covariance test, the contribution of spatial ability to computer mathematics learning outcomes was 64.7%. Based on the research results, suggestions can be made including increasing the scope of teaching materials, involving a larger population, and adding control variables in similar research.Teknologi sangat berperan penting dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di era digital. Dalam prakteknya, kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas INSTIKI belum memanfaatkan teknologi dengan optimal khususnya penggunaan platform digital sebagai penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis e-learning berbantuan geogebra terhadap hasil belajar matematika komputer dengan mengendalikan kemampuan spasial. Penelitian ini termasuk quasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial single factor independent groups design with use of covariate. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling sebanyak 61 orang yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan spasial untuk mengukur kemampuan spasial peserta didik, serta instrumen tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur hasil belajar matematika komputer. Metode analisis data terdiri dari statistika deskriptif, uji prasyarat analisis, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian memberikan hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata skor hasil belajar matematika komputer secara signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol setelah kemampuan spasial dikendalikan. Dari hasil uji kovarian diperoleh kontribusi kemampuan spasial terhadap hasil belajar matematika komputer sebesar 64,7%.
