It describes an episode when Princess Olha establishes the pohosts on the Novhorod lands. The author argues that the primary text was artificially attached to the Northern Novhorodshchyna; however, it should be considered in context of the development on the south-western part of Rus which was precipitated by the Kyiv-Drevlyanian war

No full textThe article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of English business terminology in a diachronic perspective. The relevance of the study is determined by the leading role of English as an international lingua franca in the field of business communication, which makes its terminological system an important tool of global interaction. The aim of the article is to identify the main stages in the development of English business vocabulary, to determine the ways of term formation and transformation in different historical periods, as well as to outline the current trends of its functioning. The research is based on materials from explanatory dictionaries and specialized encyclopedias. The methods used include the descriptive method, etymological analysis, and comparative approach. It has been revealed that in the 16th–17th centuries English business vocabulary was formed mainly through borrowings from Latin, French, and Dutch (cargo, tariff, finance, merchant, bank). In the 18th century, the institutionalization of financial and economic terminology took place, with the emergence of concepts related to banking and stock exchange activities (banknote, shareholder, insurance, stock). The 19th century was marked by industrialization and the development of production-related vocabulary (industry, management, productivity, marketing). In the 20th century, abbreviation and standardization of terms came to the fore (GDP, WTO, IMF, CEO), reflecting the needs of international economic communication. The late 20th – early 21st century is characterized by the emergence of terms related to the digital economy and innovative business models (e-commerce, startup, blockchain, cryptocurrency, fintech). The study identifies the main trends of modern business terminology functioning: globalization and internationalization, active integration with IT-related vocabulary, dynamic renewal, abbreviation, and metaphorical reinterpretation of common words. It is concluded that English business terminology is a dynamic system that quickly adapts to socio-economic changes and serves as a universal tool of international professional communication.Статтю присвячено комплексному аналізу англомовної бізнес-термінології у діахронічному аспекті. Актуальність дослідження зумовлена провідною роллю англійської мови як міжнародної лінгва франка у сфері бізнес-комунікації, що робить її терміносистему важливим інструментом глобальної взаємодії. Метою статті є виявлення основних етапів становлення бізнес-лексики англійської мови, визначення способів формування та трансформації термінів у різні історичні періоди, а також окреслення сучасних тенденцій її розвитку. Дослідження базується на матеріалах тлумачних словників та спеціалізованих енциклопедій. Використано описовий метод, етимологічний аналіз, зіставний підхід. Розкрито, що в XVI–XVII століттях бізнес-лексика англійської мови формувалася переважно за рахунок запозичень із латини, французької та нідерландської мов (cargo, tariff, finance, merchant, bank). У XVIII столітті відбувається інституціалізація фінансово-економічної термінології, з’являються поняття, пов’язані з банківською справою та біржовою діяльністю (banknote, shareholder, insurance, stock). XIX століття позначене індустріалізацією та розвитком виробничої лексики (industry, management, productivity, marketing). У ХХ столітті на перший план виходять абревіація та стандартизація термінів (GDP, WTO, IMF, CEO), що відповідає потребам міжнародної економічної комунікації. Кінець ХХ – початок ХХІ століття характеризується появою термінів, пов’язаних із цифровою економікою та інноваційними бізнес-моделями (e-commerce, startup, blockchain, cryptocurrency, fintech). Визначено сучасні тенденції функціонування бізнес-термінології: глобалізація та інтернаціоналізація, активна інтеграція з термінами інформаційних технологій, динамічність оновлення, абревіація та метафоричне переосмислення загальновживаної лексики. Зроблено висновок, що англомовна бізнес-термінологія є динамічною системою, яка швидко адаптується до соціально-економічних змін і слугує універсальним засобом міжнародної професійної комунікації

As a united body, it has instruments to exercise its foreign policy instruments, such as restrictive measures, negotiations, and communication. The dynamics of their usage have been changing, but there is still potential to review and adapt possible European responses.
