The detection of animal fats such as tallow in butter using standard criteria is more difficult than vegetable fats. In order to perform a complete assessment, several methods are likely to be used together. In the experimental design of this research, compositional characteristics such as fatty acids, sterols and triacylglycerols, along with the conventional physicochemical characteristics of butter mixed with different percentages of tallow (0–15% w/w) were evaluated. An increase of less than 5% (w/w) in bovine tallow content in butter physicochemical tests, sterols and fatty acids could not indicate the adulteration level but the ratio of C6+8+10+12/C18 fatty acids, C52/C50، C52/C48, C52/C46 triacylglycerols, S1, S3, S5-value equation and C52 triacylglycerols could show this adulteration level in butter.
O principal referencial teórico abordado foi fundamentado nas reflexões de Gérard Genette (2009) e Marie-Hèléne C. Torres (2011).Abstract: The main objective of this work is to examine the paratextual elements in twelve anthologies of the French author Guy de Maupassant's short stories, translated and published in the 20th and 21st centuries in Brazil, in order to disclose how the writer and his oeuvre are presented to the Brazilian reader, through the use of paratexts. I analysed only the translated anthologies with short stories from the author himself; anthologies that had other authors as well were not considered. The main theoretical framework was based on the reflections of Gérard Genette (2009) and Marie-Hèléne C. Torres (2011)

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Serrated flow in AZ91 magnesium alloy in tension and compression
AZ91 magnesium alloy exhibits jerky flow when deformed a short time after solution heat treatment and quenching. The occurrence of stress drops and discontinuous plastic deformation has been observed at temperatures in the vicinity of ambient temperature in tension as well as compression. The alloy exhibits some degree of negative strain rate sensitivity. Acoustic emission accompanies the stress drops. It is concluded that successive deformation bands propagate along the gauge length as soon as the material develops gross plastic deformation, regardless of the applied strain rate. The results are discussed in terms of current theories for the Portevin-LeChatelier effect

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Abstract : In recent years it has been discussed of energy matrices in substitution the fossil fuels, coupled with this comes the concern about environmental issues, particularly with regard to global warming, the degradation of the quality of air breathed and the commitment the general health of the human population. From these concerns, the waste generated from animal fat by agribusinesses emerges as an alternative for the production of biodiesel. Despite being a raw material in abundance, especially in southern Brazil, its use is not yet widespread, as the science currently requires further studies to obtain better yield, improved biodiesel quality, and also a better understanding of the economic viability of production on an industrial scale by agribusiness. This work presents an optimization of the production process of ethanol and biodiesel via base catalysis of abdominal fat of chickens, using DCCR Statistica® software. Three variables were evaluated (ratio fat:ethanol, NaOH catalyst concentration and a temperature) as a function of conversion into ester chicken fat. What was obtained was a conversion 98.2% when used with the following conditions: ratio fat: ethanol 1:6, NaOH catalyst concentration of 1.75% and a temperature of 50 ° C. The biodiesel obtained under these conditions is consistent with the standards of ANP Resolution 07/2008, concerning the characteristics that were evaluated in this study density, viscosity and filter plugging cold point
