(The modern literary epoch of postmodern brought the concept of mass culture along. One of the displays of such culture is a thriller. The article considered literature activity of popular German writer in “psychological thriller” – Sebastian Fitzek.
The lawyer by education and redactor in radio by main activity he is considered to be one of the most prominent Germanspeaking contemporary writers and his novels are always on the top among bestsellers of the Spiegel.
On the basis of the writer’s novellas such as «Therapy» (2006), „The Child“ (2008), „Passenger 23“ (2014) were analyzed story lines’ features, images of protagonists and the range of main themes. Attempts are made to detect basic distinction features of the individual writer’s style: the personality that usually clears up case is opened through his strong personal tragedy. Personal pain gives a powerful incentive for investigation. Finally, at the time of disclosing the main intrigue the internal
confl ict is solving. Fitzek’s criminals fi rst of all are avengers that try to fi nd the truth, to confront the evil by their inhuman but effi cient methods. At the end of the novel the author adds one more story that surrounds basic plot and becomes leading
squad in the succession of crimes. Child presence is the obligatory element in novellas by Fitzek. Children are indicators of the human cruelty the same way as the love. Children protection is one more writer’s trick that justifi es any contraventions.

From Cognitive Outsourcing to AI-Ready Skills: Evidence from a Mixed-Methods Study in a Digital Labour Market
Protocol version: 29 Sep 2025 | Lead: Sebastian Fitzek (SNSPA) | Project: AI-ECOA
Executive summary
This protocol specifies a short, high-impact mixed-methods design: a cross-sectional online survey (~8–10 minutes) with two performance-based micro-tasks (prompt literacy quiz; score 0–2), triangulated with prior AI-ECOA focus-group insights. We measure AI use, prompt self-efficacy (PSE), AI literacy, ethics/regulation awareness, social-listening and chatbot design readiness, transversal soft skills, and link these to AI-ready career preparedness and intention to enroll in AI-aligned modules. Target sample: N≈420 valid responses (≥ .90 power for small-to-medium effects in multiple regression).
Ethics & GDPR
No emails or direct identifiers are collected. If domain restriction is used for uniqueness, email addresses are not stored in the dataset. Participation is voluntary and anonymous; consent is obtained on the first page. Data are de-identified and stored on institutional drives with restricted access; retention ≤ 5 years.
Aims & hypotheses (abridged)
H1: PSE and AI literacy positively predict AI-ready career preparedness (controls: faculty, year).
H2 (mediation): AI use → PSE → AI-ready career preparedness.
H3: Social-listening and chatbot design readiness predict intention to enroll in AI-aligned modules.
Methods (abridged)
Design: cross-sectional Google Forms survey, with Section H set as quiz (2 items, auto-scored).
Sampling: SNSPA students (all faculties/years), convenience via institutional channels (deans, large courses, CECOP).
Quality controls: 1 attention check; min completion time 3 minutes; >50% missing → exclusion.
Analysis plan (abridged)
Descriptives; reliability (α/ω); EFA/CFA as needed; hierarchical regressions with FDR control (q=.05); mediation (bootstrap, 5,000). Exploratory subgroup contrasts by faculty/year.
Sharing plan
We will share the de-identified dataset, analysis code, and the variable dictionary upon acceptance (or earlier under embargo). Sensitive or potentially re-identifiable fields will be withheld or aggregated.

The article puts emphasis on the question of the role for society of the crime novel Abgeschnitten by Michael Tsokos and Sebastian Fitzek (2012). Both authors wrote this volume together which content refers to the plot, but on quite confusing formal esthetical patterns as well. On the one hand it´s the topic attacking the still working legal system, on the other it’s the incorporation of para- texts, which allows a quite strong reference to reality
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
