    The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of intersections and provide solutions to problems that occur at the intersection of Emmy Saelan – Maluku street, and Wolter Monginsidi street – Tj. Karang street and Emmy Saelan street – Tj. Manimbaya street. The analysis included road performance, existing conditions and predictions over the next 5 years by calculating the average crossing delay based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI)1997. From the results of research on the existing conditions DS = 1.24 crossing delay of Emmy Saelan street – Maluku street 55,89 det/smp that is in LOS E, intrection of Wolter Monginsidi – Tj. Karang street value of DS = 1.09 and corssing delay = 24.32 det/smp that is in LOS C and intersection of Emmy Saelan street – Tj. Manimbaya value of DS = 1.06 and crossing delay = 22.60 det/smp that is in LOS C. So it requires handling of the problem of intersections in the future, the first solution is to make the road median from intrection service levelof W. Monginsidi street – Tj. Karang street up to intrection of Emmy Saelan street – Anoa II street, with a median opening at the point before the bridge.     Emmy Saelan sosok perawat dan pejuang yang berperan dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan di Sulawesi Selatan. Pejuang muda alumni SMP Nasional Makassar sejak muda memperlihatkan sikap anti terhadap penjajah. Berperan dalam pemogokan “Stella Marris” sebagai bentuk protes terhadapap penangkapan Gubernur Sulawesi Sam Ratulangi. Tahun 1946 bergabung dengan Laskar Pemberontak Rakyat Indonesia Sulawesi (LAPRIS) dibawah komando Ranggong Daeng Romo. Pada agresi meliter Belanda kedua, Emmy Saelan menggabungkan diri pada Laskar Harimau Indonesia pimpinan Wolter Mongonsidi, beliau menjadi pimpinan Laskar Perempuan sekaligus petugas Palang Merah. Perjuangannya berakhir setelah berhasil melemparkan granat pada pasukan Belanda di Kassi-Kassi pada tanggal 23 Januari 1947. Nasionalisme dan patriotismenya mengilhami, berperan ganda sebagai perawat dan pejuang pada masa mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia di Sulawasi Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian sejarah dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut; heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi dan historiografi.     JAKARTA, 18 MARET 1966, sekitar air mancur di mulut Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta. Presiden bertanya..., ”Katanya tadi sudah beres, kok begini?” Tidak ada jawaban. Beberapa pasukan RPKAD berada di pinggir jalan.... Pengawalan terdiri dari empat jip terbuka, dua di depan dan dua di belakang mobil Presiden (Soekarno). Para pengawal meloncat dari jip dan memposisikan diri di sekeliling mobil Presiden. Pasukan RPKAD mengokang senjata. Maulwi Saelan loncat dari mobil dan bergerak ke arah pasukan RPKAD sambil berteriak, ”Jangan tembak, jangan tembak, jangan tembak...” Pengamanan Presiden sudah jadi persoalan sejak Indonesia merdeka, 17 Agustus 1945. Awalnya pengamanan dirasa cukup dilakukan beberapa polisi yang tergabung dalam Pasukan Pengawal Pribadi Presiden. Namun, setelah terjadi rangkaian percobaan pembunuhan Presiden Soekarno, dimulai dengan insiden penggranatan di Cikini, 1957, dibentuklah Tjakrabirawa pada 1962. Letnan Kolonel Maulwi Saelan, yang ketika itu bertugas di Makassar, ditunjuk sebagai Kepala Staf, dan selanjutnya menjadi Wakil Komandan Tjakrabirawa. Posisi inilah yang membuat Maulwi Saelan berada di samping atau di dekat Bung Karno di saat-saat paling kritis dalam masa peralihan kekuasaan, 1965-1966. Ia pun berada di istana pada tanggal 4 Agustus 1965, ketika Bung Karno diserang stroke ringan, meski kemudian dapat pulih kembali. Buku ini tak hanya bercerita tentang pengalaman Maulwi Saelan sebagai penjaga fisik Presiden Soekarno, sejarawan Asvi Warman Adam, Bonnie Triyana, Hendri F. Isnaeni, dan F. Mukthi juga menuturkan semangat perjuangan Maulwi Saelan sedari remaja untuk membela Tanah Air, sebagai penjaga Republik, juga penjaga Presiden agar terluput dari fitnah sejarah yang dilontarkan rezim penguasa Orde Baru

    This dataset is showing modern benthic foraminiferal species found in the surface sediments of a coral reef environment in Bidong Island, Malaysia. The dataset also includes environmental parameters in the study area. This research was conducted to determine the distribution of modern benthic foraminiferal species in Bidong Island and whether species distribution is related to water depth and environmental parameters. Larger benthic foraminiferal species dominated the study area especially Amphistegina lessonii. Species data includes raw counts and relative abundance of living modern benthic foraminiferal species (Tables 1 and 3). Empty tests were also included in the dataset which also includes raw counts and relative abundances (Tables 2 and 4). Table 5 shows the environmental parameters, i.e., depth (m), organic matter (%), mean grain size (phi), sorting (phi), skewness (phi), kurtosis (phi), proportion of gravel (%), proportion of sand (%) and proportion of mud (%). This dataset can be used in FoRAM Index to assess the health of coral reefs in the study area

    Studi Tentang Faktor Granular Tinggi pada Perancangan Campuran Beton Cara Dreux Gorrise

    ABSTRAKKuat tekan beton oleh Dreux Gorrise dirumuskan berbanding lurus dengan rasio berat semen terhadap berat air , serta berbanding lurus pula dengan faktor granular G. Besarnya G yang disarankan oleh Dreux yaitu 0,35-0,65. Semakin besar nilai G yang digunakan, semakin hemat kadar semen yang terdapat pada 1 m3 beton. Dreux mengungkapkan bahwa nilai G 0,65 dapat tercapai jika ukuran maksimum agregat yang digunakan lebih besar atau sama dengan 63 mm. Penelitian lebih lanjut oleh Saelan dan Thesia (2013) mengungkapkan bahwa nilai G sebesar 0,65 dapat juga dicapai pada campuran beton menggunakan ukuran agregat maksimum 20 mm. Kajian lanjut tentang formulasi nilai G tinggi oleh Saelan dan Thesia ternyata masih harus diteliti kembali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Saelan dan Thesia dilakukan penelitian kembali untuk membuat formulasi faktor granular tinggi yang lebih besar dari 0,60. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa nilai G tinggi 0,65 dan 0,70 dapat diformulasikan secara terukur menggunakan rumus                 G = 0,260 k. Nilai k diperoleh dari grafik hubungan antara nilai k dengan rasio volume pasir terhadap volume agregat gabungan, dengan syarat volume pasir sebesar 0,260 m3 dan rasio volume pasir terhadap volume agregat gabungan berkisar 0,342 – 0,417. Volume pasir yang tidak sama 0,260 m3 mengakibatkan kuat tekan beton yang dihasilkan berkurang.Kata kunci: kuat tekan beton, faktor granular tinggi, Dreux Gorrise. ABSTRACTCompressive strength of concrete formulated by Dreux Gorrise is linierly proportional to cement-water ratio , and granular factor G. The value of G suggested by Dreux is 0.35-0.65. The higher the value of G the more efficient cement content in   1 concrete. The value of G at 0.65 reached if the maximum aggregate size is greater or equal to 63 mm. Futher research by Saelan and Thesia reveal that the value of G at 0.65 also could be reached by using the maximum aggregate size of  20 mm. It turns out that the formulation of granular factor greater than 0.60 by Saelan and Thesia is still to be developed further more. Based on the result of Saelan and Thesia research was redeveloped the formulation of ganular factor greater than 0.60. The formulation proposed is G = 0.260 k where the value of k was obtained from graph which describes the relation between k and ratio of sand volume to mix aggregate volume. The condition of sand volume is 0.260 and ratio of sand volume to mix aggregate volume at the range of 0.342-0.417. The sand volume that not equal to 0.260 will reduce the compressive strength of concrete.Keywords: compressive strength of concrete, high granular factor, Dreux Gorrise

    Anders Thiodolf Saelan – the botanising medicus

    Anders Thiodolf Saelan (1834–1921) was a notable non-professional botanist in late 19th and early 20th century Finland, and was amongst the most diligent writers of his time in the country, authoring five book, 75 articles, and 83 communications, for a total of 163 texts. Saelan was particularly known for writing extensive botanical reviews, such as Herbarium Musei Fennici in 1889 and ”Bibliography of Finnish botanical literature until the end of 1900”. He described 59 taxa, including two species, Hieracium linifolium and H. pilipes, 19 varieties, 36 forms, and two subforms. Typifications of 44 names are provided in a separate article. Saelan’s type collection like other specimens are deposited at the Botanical Museum (H), Finnish Museum of Natural History, University of Helsinki, Finland. Saelan was an active member of the Societas pro Fauna et Flora Fennica, of which he became a member in 1856, eventually holding the position of vice-chairman 1872–1889 and chairman 1889–1892. He was also a member of the Printing Committee and was made an Honorary Member of the Societas on 5 November 1904

    HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SDN EMMY SAELAN MAKASSAR

    AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa SDN Emmy Saelan Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental  dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Non Equivalent Control Grup desaign. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik nonparametrik. Hasil dari analisis deskriptif untuk motivasi belajar siswa dalam kategori Tinggi sebesar 53,75% dari 80 Siswa. Sedangkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SDN Emmy Saelan Makassar untuk interval nilai 7-7,4 dengan rata-rata sebesar  62,5%.  Hasil analisis statistik nonprametrik dimana  nilai koefisien korelasi evaluasi dengan motivasi versi Kendall adalah s Sebesar 0,522, sedangkan nilai koefisien korelasi menurut Spearman adalah sebesar 0,575. Dari perhitungan  nilai t hitung, dimana H0 adalah tidak ada pengaruh antara kedua variabel dan H1 adalah ada pengaruh antara kedua variable, t hitung > t tabel maka H0 ditolak.  Nilai t hitung (5,405 untuk Kendall dan 6,208 untuk Sperman > t tabel 2,326 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Jadi Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa SDN Emmy Saelan Makassar. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to find out about  the motivation in learning mathematics influencing students' learning outcomes at Emmy Saelan Elementary School of Makassar. This research is an experimental study with the type of Quasi Experimental research with the research design used in this study is the desaign Non Equivalent Control Group. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The research instruments used in data collection were questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and nonparametric statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis for student motivation in the High category amounted to 53.75% of 80 Students. While the mathematics learning outcomes of students at the Emmy Saelan Elementary School in Makassar for intervals of grades 7-7.4 with an average of 62.5%. The results of nonprametric statistical analysis in which the evaluation correlation coefficient with the motivation of the Kendall version is s of 0.522, whereas the Spearman correlation coefficient value is 0.575. From the calculation of the value of t count, where H0 is no influence between the two variables and H1 is there is an influence between the two variables, t count> t table then H0 is rejected. The value of t count (5.405 for Kendall and 6.208 for Sperman> t table 2.326 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. To sum up, there is a relationship between learning motivation towards the students' learning outcomes at  Emmy Saelan Elementary School of Makassar

    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GALENIC CREAM OF DURIAN PEEL EXTRACT AND CHITOSAN FOR TREATMENT OF DIABETIC ULCERS

    Introduction: The chemical substance of durian peel (Durio zibethinus L.) is a polysaccharide polymer of D-galacturonic acid which is polar and anti-microbial. Chitosan is a derivative of chitin from the peels of Crustaceae animals, which is polycationic and antimicrobial; biodegradable, and biocompatible wit animal tissues. Diabetic ulcers are chronic wounds due to neurological disorders and vascular disorder in the legs, causing tissue damage. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of galeni preparations of durian peel extract and chitosan for the treatment of diabetic ulcers.Method: This research is experimental including testing the quality of 5% durian peel extract cream preparations; 2% chitosan, a mixture of both ratio = 1:1; 1:2 physically, chemically, and microbiologically,and the rate of wound healing in test animals. Statistical data analysis of One Way Anova parametric test.Results: The results showed that the preparation of galenic durian peel extract cream and chitosan and their combination ratio (1:1), (1:2) could be formulated and met the quality test of cream preparations physically, chemically, and microbiologically according to the requirements of BPOM No. 32 of 2019 and is effective for healing diabetic ulcers on the 8th day.Conclusions: The preparation of galenic durian peel extract cream and chitosan and their combination ratio (1:1), (1:2) can potentially be developed as a cream preparation for healing diabetic ulcers

    Catalogue and typifications of new taxa of vascular plants described by Anders Thiodolf Saelan (1834–1921)

    Anders Thiodolf Saelan (1834–1921) was a notable non-professional botanist in the late 19th and early 20th century Finland, and was amongst the most diligent writers of his time in the country, authoring five books, 75 articles and 83 communications, for a total of 163 texts. Saelan was particularly known for writing extensive botanical reviews, such as Herbarium Musei Fennici in 1889 and Bibliography of Finnish botanical literature until the end of 1900. He validly published 34 taxa, including two species, Hieracium linifolium and H. pilipes, 6 varieties, 25 forms, and one subform, and introduced 46 names as nomina nuda. Saelan had no concept of type specimens and therefore all his plant taxa need typification, and 28 of those are lectotypified here. In this paper, nomina nuda and the taxa whose type material was not found are also listed, except those of the apomictic genus Hieracium. Most of Saelan’s new taxa are nowadays not recognised. Saelan’s type collection treated here, as well as his other specimens are deposited at the Botanical Museum (H), Finnish Museum of Natural History, University of Helsinki, Finland.Peer reviewe
