No full textTCC (graduação)- Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, História.As ações realizadas pelas diferentes divisões do exército alemão durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, sob a insígnia da SS, são temas recorrentes de debates. Durante a década de 1930, e com o fim da República de Weimar, vemos a ascensão do nazismo e da ideologia ariana, como fatores que moldaram a sociedade alemã da época. Esses fatores ajudaram o partido nazista a fazer as mudanças necessárias para criar uma máquina de guerra poderosa, capaz de varrer toda a Europa, seguindo as ordens de Hitler. O ponto forte deste trabalho refere-se ao relato de ex-combatentes de ambos os lados, contidos em três documentários, tanto do eixo, trazendo relatos de soldados alemães, como dos aliados, com relatos de soldados norte americanos, referentes às campanhas europeias da guerra. A descrição das divisões da Waffen-SS que atuaram nos fronts da Segunda Guerra, tanto oriental como ocidental, além das batalhas travadas e o destino de cada uma delas, mostram o quanto essas unidades atuaram no conflito. Os relatos dos veteranos nos mostram a realidade vivida por muitos soldados, que em certos casos quando não se alistavam voluntariamente, eram obrigados a combater pela pátria mãe, forçados pelo regime nazista, ou sob forte pressão de familiares. Vemos que com a guerra chegando ao seu fim, e com a derrota eminente dos nazistas, a preocupação dos soldados passa a ser a proteção do seu futuro e de suas famílias em casa, frente a avalanche vermelha, do exército russo
Burnout em estudantes de graduação em Odontologia

Odontologia.Introdução: O panorama atual da Odontologia brasileira apresenta mudanças no perfil do mercado de trabalho, já que o acesso instantâneo à informação faz com que os pacientes odontológicos sejam cada vez mais exigentes, e o mercado mais competitivo. Para atender a demanda do mercado atual, foram incluídas disciplinas das ciências sociais no currículo dos cursos de graduação em Odontologia, aumentando, consequentemente sua carga horária. Dessa forma, o estudante de Odontologia tem sido acometido por agravos relacionados ao estresse, como transtornos de ansiedade e síndrome de Burnout (SB). Objetivo: Estimar a prevalência da SB entre os estudantes de graduação em Odontologia de 1ª, 5ª e 10ª fases da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Materiais e métodos: A coleta de dados foi realizada durante o segundo mês de aula do semestre 2013.2. O instrumento para coleta de dados foi um questionário sobre dados pessoais, socioeconômicos, perfil do estudante e o Inventário de Burnout Maslach – Student Survey (MBI-SS) na versão em língua portuguesa. Caracterizou-se como portador da SB o estudante que apresentou simultaneamente valores médios acima do percentil 66 (P66) para Exaustão (EE) e Descrença (DE) e abaixo do P33 para Eficácia Profissional (EP). Resultados: A prevalência da SB foi de 10,89%. Houve associação estatisticamente positiva entre as fases do curso e as variáveis: níveis altos de EE e DE, percepção das condições da estrutura física da faculdade e pensamento de desistir do curso. Também entre a ocorrência da SB e as variáveis: fase do curso, horas semanais de lazer, horas diárias de sono, necessidade de professor particular, percepção do próprio desempenho acadêmico, do desempenho dos professores e das condições da estrutura física da faculdade, consumo de medicamentos e pensamento de desistir do curso. Conclusão: A SB foi prevalente em 10,89% dos estudantes pesquisados

A produção de conhecimentos no Serviço Social: uma análise no HU/UFSC
No full textTCC (graduação) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro Sócio Econômico, Curso de Serviço Social.O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso, tem como objeto de estudo a produção de conhecimento no Serviço Social, utilizados diariamente pelas Assistentes Sociais do HU/UFSC. Pretende-se com este estudo investigar as modificações ocorridas nos conhecimentos no Serviço Social, que estiveram e estão presentes na atuação profissional do Assistente Social, bem como analisar suas influências no atendimento das demandas apresentadas neste espaço ocupacional. Para realização do trabalho, utilizamos a pesquisa bibliográfica, principalmente nas Revistas Serviço Social e Sociedade e Cadernos da ABESS/ABEPSS e ainda pesquisa documental, com intuito de coletar dados e proceder à análise de conteúdo, ambos com vistas a investigar a abordagem e compreensão dos temas usuário, família, saúde, prática profissional, metodologia e teoria. Observamos que além das transformações na própria profissão de Serviço Social, a qual passou a qualificar seu rigor teórico-metodológico a partir da década de 1990, também ocorreram mudanças na abordagem dos termos no interior do HU/UFSC o que auxiliou na inovação dos atendimentos aos usuários, destacando-se o reconhecimento do cidadão como cidadão de direitos

THE VOICE OF THE SS: A HISTORY OF THE SS JOURNAL DAS SCHWARZE KORPS (GERMANY)
No full textThis thesis addresses the revolutionary nature of the Schutzstaffeln (SS), the elite order of German National Socialism. Its primary source is Das Schwarze Korps, the only official journal of the SS, which is used to determine whether the SS expressed a revolutionary doctrine. The journal is an important historical source not only because it was the SS\u27s only newspaper, but also because its editor, Gunter d\u27Alquen, was on Himmler\u27s Personal Staff and had regular contact with most of the SS\u27s top leaders during the entire ten years the journal was published (1935-1945). D\u27Alquen also served as the commander of the SS\u27s war propaganda unit and was considered by Himmler as one of the promising future leaders of the SS. D\u27Alquen\u27s status insures that his newspaper was authoritative. The first chapters examine the events surrounding Das Schwarze Korps\u27 creation and survey the staff who published it. Some of the inner workings of the staff are reconstructed to show how it chose themes, developed editorial policy, obtained information and reacted to the opposition and pressure which it encountered. It is shown that the SS journal had a greater degree of independence from Josef Goebbels\u27 Propaganda Ministry than did the remainder of the press. The journal\u27s ideological concepts are described in detail and analyzed with regard to their revolutionary nature. This includes the journal\u27s treatment of racial ideology, religion, administration and justice, foreign policy, Communism, business and capitalism, National Socialist culture, history, the status of women, incidental topics of special interest and the self-images the journal had of the SS and itself. The study concludes that the SS journal accurately reflected the SS leadership\u27s outlook. Those leaders made the SS a revolutionary force which Hitler used as a primary instrument in the implementation of his more radical policies. The journal shows that the SS was proud of this role, that it was attuned to Hitler\u27s philosophy and that it was extremely loyal. Das Schwarze Korps\u27 contents confirm that the SS retained its radical views into the latter years of the National Socialist Dictatorship
Das Waffen SS - Denkmal Stillfüssing
No full textVor dem Hintergrund öffentlicher Erinnerungskultur in Österreich, deren vorrangige Ge-denkform in Bezug auf die nationalsozialistische Herrschaft nach wie vor Kriegerdenkmäler sind, und den gesellschaftlichen und politischen Entwicklungen hinsichtlich der Auseinander-setzung mit der NS-Vergangenheit der 2. Republik, stellt diese Arbeit ein umstrittenes Waf-fen-SS Denkmal der kleinen, oberösterreichischen Ortschaft Stillfüssing in den Mittelpunkt der Betrachtung. Das Waffen-SS Denkmal Stillfüssing gedenkt 13 gefallenen Soldaten der Waffen-SS, die am 4. Mai 1945 in Kampfhandlungen in Stillfüssing getötet wurden. Am Ort ihres Grabes wurde schließlich ein Denkmal errichtet. Nach wie vor stattfindende Kranznie-derlegungen durch die Kameradschaft IV – dem Veteranenverband der Waffen-SS – schei-nen kaum kritisch hinterfragt zu werden. Die tiefe Verwurzelung der Kriegerdenkmäler vor allem im ländlichen Bereich scheint sich auch 70 Jahre nach Kriegsende nur wenig verändert zu haben. Veteranenvereinigungen, wie der österreichische Kameradschaftsbund – kurz ÖKB – oder die Kameradschaft IV, formten als vorrangige Initiatoren von Kriegerdenkmälern, Österreichs Denkmallandschaft maßgeblich. Obwohl die Tendenz eines „neuen“ Verständ-nisses im Umgang mit Denkmälern und Gedenkstätten erkennbar ist (in Oberösterreich bei-spielsweise durch die KZ-Gedenkstätte Mauthausen repräsentiert) scheint es vor allem im ländlichen Raum immer noch „einfacher“ bzw. „üblicher“ zu sein, toten, heroisch dargestell-ten, Soldaten zu gedenken
Modeling and forecasting of milk production in the SAARC countries and China
No full textThis study uses yearly data from 1961 to 2018 to forecast milk production in South Asian countries (including China) using ARIMA/GARCH models and Holt’s Linear approach. It is revealed that not all the methods are equally effective in forecasting. Comparison of mean absolute percentage errors between ARIMA and Holt’s Linear model shows that Holt’s approach reveals higher errors.ARIMA forecasting results show that India will be the country with the highest milk production, followed by Pakistan and China while GARCH model fits better to Bangladesh. This paper has policy implications as it can be used for the proper planning of dairy products in the South-Asian counties to safeguard nutritional security
