Penelitian bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan kelas kata yang dapat dilekati oleh prefiks {ba-} dalam Naskah Randai Lareh Simawang Jo Diri Siti Jamilah , dan (2) Mendeskripsikan makna gramatikal prefiks {ba-} jika melekat pada kata dasar, yang dilekati dalam Naskah Randai Lareh Simawang Jo Diri Siti Jamilah.
Untuk menganalisis data, penelitian ini menggunakan teori morfologi yang dikemukakan oleh (Kridalaksana, 2008). Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah metode simak. Teknik dasar adalah teknik simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC) dan teknik lanjutan ialah teknik catat. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode padan. Teknis dasarnya adalah pilih unsur penentu (PUP). Teknik lanjutan yang digunakan adalah bagi hubung banding menyamakan (HBS). Metode informal dan formal digunakan untuk menyajikan hasil analisis data.
Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa prefiks {ba-} pada Naskah Randai Lareh Simawang Jo Diri Siti Jamilah memiliki kemampuan bergabung dengan kata dasar berupa kata kerja, kata benda, kata sifat, kata bilangan dan perubahan yang terjadi pada prefiks {ba-} ditemukan yaitu derivasional dan infleksional, ditemukan derivasional 32 data, dan infleksional ditemukan 13. Ditemukan makna prefiks {ba-} sebanyak 11 makna pada Naskah Randai Lareh Simawang Jo Diri Siti Jamilah

Get PDFFilm is one of the communication tools that have the power to reach out to the society and also a medium for expression with a creative combination of photography and audio technology. Thus, it is important for us to know the meaning behind the visuals especially from the Malay movies produced in the 90’s to ensure that the people can understand the messages that are being conveyed. This objective of this research is to analyze the understanding, application and achievement of visual representation in selected Malay films in the era of 90’s among film directors. This research is to provide guidance to the producer, the director, art director, film students, movie audience and society. A qualitative method was employed the used of interview and observation to emphasizes on objectives measurements. The interview were analysed via voice and visual recording methods while film observations were analyzed by using the semiotic theory (icon, index and symbol) of Alexander Charles Pierce. The findings indicated that level of understanding among filmmakers varies and this is likely as they have different educational backgrounds. However it is not entirely dependent on their own but it also involves all members of the production. Meanwhile, director aware film is a fundamental feature of daily life which shows our own culture. Overall, research revealed that the level of visual representation in 90’s is still modest because it identified only applied depending on the requirements of the genre only

Sementara istrinya yang kedua bernama Siti Rawani juga memperlakukan Lareh Simawang dengan sikap yang sama dengan Siti Jamilah. Kaba Lareh Simawang menjadi sumber inspirasi penciptaan karya tari Laki-Laki. Kaba Lareh Simawang dalam penggarapannya merujuk kepada beberapa kajian sumber. Istri pertama Lareh Simawang yang bernama Siti Jamilah merupakan seorang perempuan yang patuh, setia, dan taat kepada suaminya. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Optimization of Jatropha Curcas oil extraction using microwave pretreatment prior to Soxhlet extraction

economic potentials for its seed oil, which can be converted into biodiesel. This study
aims to demonstrate and compare the extraction of Jatropha oil by conventional method
and those with assisted by microwave pretreatment. This research also aims to optimize
the parameters in the microwave pretreatment process for obtaining a maximum yield of
Jatropha seed oil. The present study deals with the extraction of Jatropha curcas seed oil
by using microwave pretreatment prior to Soxhlet extraction. Samples were microwave
treated at a frequency of 2450 MHz using a household microwave. Thirteen microwave
pretreatments were suggested, combining the potencies of microwave power (300 W- 450
W) and pretreatment time (70 s – 180 s) by Design of Experiment (DOE) software. The
extraction of Jatropha curcas oil was carried out using Soxhlet method by using hexane
for 6 hours. It was found that extraction oil yield increased by 30.95 % with microwave
pretreatments of Jatropha seed compared to untreated seeds as control. Optimum
condition of 450 W and 180 s were obtained with the maximum oil yield of 91.3 %. The
quality characteristics (e.g. acid value, peroxide value and saponification value), oil
composition (e.g. fatty acids) were measured and compared to those of an untreated oil
sample. The result showed that the Jatropha seeds contained acid value 1.67± 0.09 %,
0.78±0.02 miliequivalence/kg and 188 ± 0.37 mg/g respectively. This concludes that a
microwave pretreatment could be applied to Jatropha Curcas oil extraction prior to
Soxhlet method to improve the oil recovery about 91.3 %
Screening of media composition for bioprotein production from palm kernel cake by Aspergillus niger for fish feed

especially protein source such as fish are limited. Only a rational and sustainable effort will continue to produce enough and nutritive food, to satisfy the future needs of human kind. Bioprotein production is the one of the most promising breakthroughs of biotechnological innovation in animal feed industry, especially in fish feed. Due to its increasing demand and the high cost of other fish feed, the palm kernel cake (PKC) as a substrate was used for production of bioprotein for fulfilling fish feed industry’s demand. In this project, the screening of media composition for bioprotein from production palm kernel cake by Aspergillus niger for fish feed application was carried out with different percentage value according to the Plackett-Burman design. Among the seven parameters of media compositions, KH2PO4 and CuSO4.5H2O were found to be the significant model terms with confidence level above 95 percent and considered to affect bioprotein production. Highest bioprotein obtained was 1.0995 mg/L. This study would provide a better alternative in agricultural products by converting agriculture waste to valuable and quality product such as bioprotein, which can be used as supplement and additive in the fish feed and food as well as in chemical and pharmaceutical industries

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
