MITOS ROKAT AENG MANES MASYARAKAT MARITIM SITUBONDO: ANALISIS SKEMA AKTANSIAL DAN STRUKTUR FUNGSIONAL (Myths of Rokat Aeng Manes Situbondo Maritime Community: Analysis of Actional Schemes and Functional Structures)
This research is focused on the folklore of the maritime community in Situbondo, especially the myth of the Rokat aeng manes in Agel Village. Agel's Aeng Manis skirt is an original Situbondo tradition which has its own peculiarities. This traditional ceremony has been going on for generations in the Agel community. The Aeng Manis Rokat Ceremony in Agel Village is a village clean-up ceremony carried out by the Agel community. This ceremony is held to celebrate the harvest and pray for it to be kept away from various logs, diseases, and disasters. This research discusses the myth of the Rokat Aeng Manis ritual in Agel Asembagus, Situbondo village from the perspective of oral tradition with the theory of the Greimas schema and functional structure and the analysis of interpretation in the context of oral history. The method used was ethnography, which emphasizes the active participation of researchers or is directly involved in the community being studied to obtain field notes that can answer research problems. The results describe the phenomenon of violence against women, namely Princess Mayangsari due to the attack of the King of Bali on the Madura Kingdom which is divided into three stages. This condition was resolved with the emergence of the White Tiger (Helper) who was motivated to restore the dignity and glory of the Madura Kingdom.Penelitian ini difokuskan pada folklor masyarakat maritim di Situbondo, khususnya mitos rokat aeng manes di Desa Agel. Rokat Aeng Manis Agel adalah tradisi asli Situbondo yang mempunyai kekhasan tersendiri. Upacara adat ini telah berlangsung turun temurun di masyarakat Agel. Upacara Rokat Aeng Manis di desa Agel merupakan sebuah upacara bersih desa yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Agel. Upacara ini dilaksanakan untuk mensyukuri hasil panen dan mendoakan agar dijauhkan dari berbagai bala, penyakit, dan bencana. Penelitian ini mendiskusikan mitos ritual Rokat Aeng Manis di Desa Agel Asembagus Situbondo dari perspektif tradisi lisan dengan teori skema aktan dan struktur fungsional Greimas dan analisis tafsir dalam konteks sejarah lisan. Metode yang digunakan adalah etnografi yang mengedepankan partisipasi aktif peneliti atau terlibat langsung ke masyarakat yang diteliti untuk mendapatkan catatan lapangan yang dapat menjawab permasalahan penelitian. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan fenomena kekerasan terhadap perempuan yakni Putri Mayangsari akibat adanya penyerangan Raja Bali pada Kerajaan Madura yang terbagi menjadi tiga babak. Kondisi tersebut terselesaikan dengan munculnya Macan Putih (helper) yang termotivasi untuk mengembalikan martabat dan kejayaan Kerajaan Madura.
Cerita Rakyat Sentani: Kasuari Dan Burung Pipit (Analisis Struktural Menurut Sistem Kode Roland Barthes)
The folktale of Kasuari dan Burung Pipit is well-known in Sentani, Papua. As a valuable literature for Sentani people, it is necessary to study and analyze the message of the folktale. This is a qualitative research applying the descriptive method. The analysis uses a message transaction modus based on the theory of the semiotics of Roland Bhartes. The data of this research is the story of Kasuari dan Burung Pipit. The data was submitted by observation (through recordings and note-taking) and interviews. The result shows, based on the analysis, that the message transaction modus of the story includes 1) the proairetic code; 2) the heurmeuneutic code; 3) the code of semes or signifiers; 4) the symbolic code; and 5) the culture code

Efficiency of Curinus coerolius (Coleoptera; coccinellidae) rearing methods in green houseThree methods of rearing C. coerolius were tested in green house. The first method consist of rearing the adults in 50 x 50 x 45 wood boxes. The eggs were transferred in to petridishes and the larvae then reared in 17.5 x 13 x 82 cm plastics bags.The second basically similar with the first but the adults were transferred after laying eggs. The third method is rearing the adults in 16 x 16 x 22 cm plastic boxes with a piece of bamboes and overpositive side. The eggs were transferred and the larvae reared in the screen cage in upside down position. The larvae were fed with H sp. the ben result came from the third method
Masalah Hama Pada Tanaman Pala
Sejak jaman dahulu Indonesia dikenal sebagai penghasil pala dunia. Hingga saat ini Indonesia masih tetap merupakan Negara produsen pala terbesar di dunia yang mensuplai lebih kurang 80 persen kebutuhan dunia. Meskipun Indonesia masih tetap merupakan penghasil utama pala dunia, namun akhir-akhir ini kualitas dan kuantitas pala Indonesia terlihat mengalami penurunan. Salah satu hal yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan tersebut adalah adanya serangan hama, baik yang menyerang pada tanaman di lapang maupun yang merusak pada kondisi pasca panen dalam penyimpanan. foreign exchange. 70% basic needs of West Sepik Province (Sandaun) located in
Papua New Guinea is supplied from the Indonesia border market. This article aims
to discover the motivation of BIPA learners in Vanimo Secondary School and Don
Bosco Secondary School. This article used qualitative descriptive method. The data was
obtained from questionnaire and interview with the students of BIPA. The result of
this article indicates a high desire to shop for cheap prices in Indonesia. By mastering
Indonesian language, they also able to use bargaining techniques they cannot obtained
throughout Papua New Guinea. BIPA program in Vanimo is expected to attract
students to come and shop in Indonesia
Traditional Games from Sentani Papua: Documentation and the Potentials of Utilization
The Sentani people in Papua have wealth of cultural heritages which was formerly actively practiced. One of them is traditional games (TG). Since 1970 when their area turned into a provincial capital and infrastructure development took place and modernization, the Sentani people began to lose land for TG. Now the younger generation does not recognize and practice these traditional sports and games. This study aims to (1) document traditional Sentani sports and games and (2) discuss their potential utilization in several fields. This research was conducted in October-December 2022 in several villages and islands on Lake Sentani through interviews and FGDs with informants consisting of tribal chiefs, the elders, Papuan customary council members, and government officials. This research found several TG which can be divided into two, namely water TG i.e., rukha hasai, rem phaeikho-phaeikho, and bhu phaeikho-phaeikho as well as land TG, i.e., mokhone oro habele sablei, fela-fela, and mendelauw. TG couldbe utilized as media of education, charater building, tourism and creative economy. Apart from being a social awareness, it is hoped that this research can become a cultural preservation of Sentani and utilized so that this intangible heritage does not become extinct and can be disseminated to the world community
Karakterisasi dan Seleksi Beberapa Isolat Azotobacter sp. untuk Meningkatkan Perkecambahan Benih dan Pertumbuhan Tanaman
<p>Characterization and Selection of Azotobacter sp. in Enhancing Seed Germination and Growth of Plant. Nitrogen (N) is a macro nutrient needed by the plant. Chemical synthesis of N fertilizer need high energy input. On the other hand, Azotobacter sp. has been known as a free living nitrogen fixing bacteria. This bacteria is also known as growth factor producing bacteria such as indole acetic acid (IAA) and extracellular polysaccharide. The ability of Azotobacter sp. in fixing N and producing IAA was affected by strain type of the bacteria as well as the origin of the isolate. It had been characterized 44 isolates of Azotobacter sp. isolated from selected dry habitat such as oil palm in Sekayu (South Sumatera), coffee and cashew nut tree in NTT, corn crops in Banjar (South of Kalimantan), and rubber tree in Bogor (West Java). Isolation was conducted using Ashby media. Based on their ability in producing IAA, promoting germination of the seed and growth of leguminous cover crops Pueraria phaseoloides. The result showed that isolate of 116(2), from Sikka, Flores, (NTT), produced highest IAA i.e 2.815 &amp;#956;M within the third day and 4.02 uM in the sixth day incubation time. Strain D1/8B (isolated from oil palm plantation in South Sumatera) and S5 (isolated from corn in South Kalimantan) could increase 2-3 times number of germinating seed of P. phaseoloides for the third days. Azotobacter sp. isolate of D1/2, 107, and 113 in combination with 50% recomended doses of chemical fertilizer could enhance the growth of plant (fresh and dry biomassa total) of sorghum higher compared to 100% chemical fertilizer doses (control). Isolate of D1/2 originated from South of Sumatera improved germination of seed, and enhanced the growth of sorghum, while isolate of 113 from Sikka, Flores, NTT had the ability to increase the growth of sorghum during one month in glass house experiment.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Nitrogen (N) merupakan unsur makro yang diperlukan oleh tanaman. Bakteri Azotobacter sp. diketahui dapat memfiksasi N secara nonsimbiotik dan menghasilkan hormon tumbuh seperti IAA dan polisakarida ekstraseluler. Kemampuan penambatan N dan produksi IAA dipengaruhi oleh galur bakteri dan asal isolat. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkarakterisasi 44 isolat Azotobacter sp. yang diisolasi dari beberapa habitat lahan kering, yaitu perkebunan kelapa sawit di Sekayu (Sumsel), perkebunan kopi dan jambu mete di Nusa Tenggara Timur, areal tanaman jagung di Banjar (Kalsel), dan kebun karet di Bogor (Jabar). Isolasi bakteri Azotobacter sp. dilakukan menggunakan medium Ashby. Isolat yang diperoleh diuji kemampuannya menghasilkan IAA dan pengaruhnya terhadap perkecambahan benih serta pertumbuhan kacang penutup tanah (Pueraria phaseoloides). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa isolat 116 (2) menghasilkan IAA tertinggi, yaitu 2,815 &amp;#956;M pada hari ke-3 dan 4,02 &amp;#956;M pada hari ke-6. Isolat tersebut berasal dari Sikka, Flores, NTT. Isolat D1/8B (asal perkebunan kelapa sawit di Sumsel) dan S5 (asal areal tanaman jagung di Kalimantan) dapat meningkatkan 2-3 kali jumlah benih P. phaseoloides yang berkecambah pada hari ke-3. Isolat D1/2, 107, dan 113 dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman sorgum (total biomasa basah dan kering) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pupuk NPK 100%. Isolat D1/2 asal Sumsel meningkatkan perkecambahan benih dan pertumbuhan sorgum relatif tinggi, sedang isolat 113 asal Sikka, Flores, NTT, mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman sorgum.</p><p> </p></jats:p
Beberapa Aspek Biologi Hama Penggulung Daun Mentha Syngamia abruptalis Walk
Some biological aspects, life cycle, fecundity, mortality, leeding activity and sex ratio of menthe leaves suller, S. abruptalis WALK have been investigated. The observation were conducted in the entomological green house of the Research Institute for Spice and Medicinal Crops Bogor from April to July 1993. The results showed that the life cycle of this insect lasted 21 to 32 days, the range of fecundity 45-192 eggs per female with the percentage to become adult 29 percent. The sex ratio of male to female was 1 : 1. One larva consumed about 16.3 cm2 of menthe leaves or about 6.5 pieces of normal leaves during the stage
Adiabatic quantum pumping through surface states in 3D topological insulators
We investigate adiabatic quantum pumping of ballistic Dirac fermions on the surface of a strong three-dimensional topological insulator. Two different geometries are studied in detail, a normal metal–ferromagnetic–normal metal (NFN) junction and a ferromagnetic–normal metal–ferromagnetic (FNF) junction. Using a scattering matrix approach, we show that each time a new resonant mode appears in the transport window the pumped current exhibits a maximum and provide a detailed analysis of the position of these maxima. We also predict a characteristic difference between the pumped current in NFN- and FNF-junctions: whereas the former vanishes for carriers at normal incidence, the latter is finite due to the different nature of wavefunction interference in the junctions. Finally, we predict an experimentally distinguishable difference between the pumped current and the conductance.Quantum NanoscienceApplied Science
