Mass Media Construction of Irwan Prayitno’s Leadership: A Critical Discourse Analysis
No full textThis study aims to investigate Irwan Prayitno's characters that were constructed by the mass media and the construction patterns used by each of the mass media. The study applied a descriptive model by applying mixing methods; qualitative and quantitative. The research data were obtained from Padang Ekspress, Singgalang, and Haluan print media. Following the research orientation, the data were collected from the August-November 2015 issues. Various characteristics of Irwan Prayitno’s leadership were reported with different patterns in each mass media. The differences were influenced by the practice of discourse and social practices that underlie the emergence of news. From the perspective of discourse practice, although each editor in chief emphasized the independence of media in politics, they did not deny that the owners of each media had a close relationship with certain political figures, including Irwan Prayitno. This created a high quantity of news framing the political figure. Still, the news was reported and issued following the applicable standards and procedures in the company. From a social practice perspective, information related to Irwan Prayitno was influenced by the situation and atmosphere of the West Sumatra gubernatorial election in 2015. Each of the media covered events related to Irwan Prayitno intending to capitalize on influence through reporting and advertising campaigns
The Influence of Visual Art in Irwan Jamal’s Theatre Artistic Vision
No full textIrwan Jamal, the founder of the Pictorial Theatre and the Casanova Theatre, is an artist who has studied several art disciplines at once, including theatre, visual arts, literature, and music. Genetic influences from his father’s family, who are skilled in drawing, as well as his education and experience in theatre, have resulted in a form of theatre that is rich in visual expression. This is based on Sigmund Freud’s theory of primary creativity which grows and becomes the foundation of one’s creativity. This article will also discuss and analysed the influence of the visual arts on Irwan Jamal’s vision of theatrical creations in terms of the several works he has directed, both theatrical productions as well as films and music videos. Irwan Jamal’s artistic vision and expression, which was later categorized as a form of “expressionist theatre” was very strongly influenced by the fine arts that Irwan Jamal also studied. The method used to analyse Irwan Jamal’s works (theatre and music videos) will also use the formal structure criticism method, which is usually used for the analysis of a painting. The presentation of critical works uses the method introduced by Edward S Feldman
Wave run-up of a possible Anak-Krakatau tsunami on planned and optimized Jakarta Sea Dike
No full textThe infrastructural plans in the Jakarta Bay to reduce risks of flooding in Jakarta city comprise a large Sea Dike that encloses a retention lake. Part of the planned dike has the shape of the iconic Garuda bird. This paper shows that if in the future an explosion of Anak Krakatau will occur with strength 1/4th of the original Karkatau 1883 explosion, wave crests of 11m and troughs of 6m may collide against the bird's head. As an alternative example, a more optimized design of the dike is constructed that reduces the maximal wave effects considerably.</p
Irwan Prayitno and the Mass Media: A Transitivity Analysis of News Reporting in Padang Ekspres
No full textThis article attempts to analyze the transitivity pattern in the media discourse analysis of Irwan Prayitno's reportage in Padang Ekspres. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data were collected using documentation techniques and analyzed using the transitivity features on Halliday's Systemic Functional Linguistics. The research findings show that there are four types of processes in the media discourse of Irwan Prayitno’s reportage in Padang Ekspres: material processes (50.8%), behavioral processes (22.1%), verbal processes (20.4%), and mental processes (6.7 %). The dominance of material processes in Irwan Prayitno's reportage as a political figure reflects an effort to represent him as a leader who focuses on real work and action. This representation pattern also strengthens the existence of mutualistic relations between mass media and politics in electoral politics and other kinds of mass mobilization

No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan usaha peternakan itik petelur Bapak Irwan Mato Aia Jaya Farm. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di peternakan Bapak Irwan Mato Aia Jaya Farm di Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman pada tanggal 5 Juni sampai 5 Juli 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah aspek teknis : bibit, kandang, pakan, tatalaksana pemeliharaan, pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit. Pada aspek ekonomi meliputi : biaya produksi pada periode Januari 2022 s/d Juni 2023 yang terdiri dari biaya tetap dan biaya variabel, penerimaan bersumber dari hasil penjualan telur, penjualan DOD, penjualan itik grower dan penjualan itik afkir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek teknis yang digunakan pada peternakan bapak Irwan Mato Aia Jaya Farm sudah cukup baik. Biaya produksi yang dikeluarkan pada periode Januari 2022 – Juni 2023 sebesar Rp.2.669.770.303. Dan penerimaan yang diterima sebesar Rp. 8.205.732.100. pendapatan yang didapatkan oleh peternakan bapak Irwan Mato Aia Jaya Farm selama Januari 2022 – Juni 2023 adalah sebesar Rp. 5.535.961.797. Dengan R/C Ratio sebesar 2,07 yang berarti usaha peternakan itik petelur yang dijalankan oleh bapak Irwan Mato Aia Jaya Farm tergolong menguntungkan

This research is aiming to (a) knowing how the influence of clarity the target of budget, understanding of accounting, and the regional financial management on financial accountability performance of skpd and (b) how big the influence of inter variable and ( c ) tries to provide advice and input for improvement the quality of government skpd in relation to the regional financial report.
Sample retrieval method that used by the author is a simple random sampling. The data type used is the primary data, for techniques of data collection is done by means of a survey through questionnaires, and also the study of library. Data processing is carried out using SPSS program. Testing used classic assumptions research includes testing of normality, test multikolinieritas, and heterokedastisitas. While the research model used researchers is to use the Linear Regression equation of statistical analysis, as for Multiple hypothesis testing is done with simultaneous significance test, and the significance of partial coefficients of determinant.
Test results indicate that the budget target, variable clarity of understanding of accounting and financial management of influential simultaneously against accountability, while test results are partial indicates a variable target clarity of budget and financial management significantly give an influense to accountability, while understanding of accounting does not provide any significant effects. Results of the regression analysis shows the value of the coefficient of determinant (R square) of 39,5%, meaning that all independent variables provide a pretty strong correlation to the variable accountability
