    Dissertação de Mestrado em Estudos Portugueses Multidisciplinares apresentada à Universidade AbertaO ónus desta pesquisa recai sobre a análise do romance Cartas a Sandra, uma obra de Vergílio Ferreira, intimista e confessional, que, num derradeiro exercício de arte poética, conglutina temas e elementos fulcrais na conceção de um todo universal, promovendo, numa coerência fenomenológica, a junção de composições que dialogam intensamente entre si. Dum vasto território literário, elegemos o romance epistolar, diário memorialístico ou ensaio sobre a vida, cujo sentido de contiguidade se revela no encerramento que o mesmo constitui no que diz respeito não só às obras vergilianas, como à vida do próprio autor. Por conseguinte, no presente trabalho, procuraremos destacar o romance como espaço privilegiado, passível de realizar a síntese do pensamento vergiliano sob diversas formas de expressão. Assumindo uma perspetiva hermenêutica, procederemos à análise da obra com base na interpretação, colocando diferentes questionamentos que cercam a construção ficcional do texto em estudo. Assim, numa primeira instância, e sempre de acordo com uma atitude que pretendemos seja rigorosa, analisaremos, por um lado, os caminhos teóricos das correntes do neorrealismo e do existencialismo que permeiam a construção ficcional do romance em estudo; por outro lado, estabeleceremos as características do registo epistolar, contrapondo as suas diversas manifestações. Sequentemente, procuraremos contextualizar histórica e culturalmente a obra em análise, optando por uma incursão exaustiva no romance Cartas a Sandra. Neste sentido, tentaremos compreender a significação que presidiu à seleção do género epistolar, de reduzida informatividade, para a produção dos textos, determinando a sua funcionalidade, na ótica da estética jaussiana da recepção. Concludentemente, procederemos a um estudo comparativo com outras obras do autor, numa afinidade dialógica, fazendo aproximar as suas similitudes, nomeadamente de índole autobiográfica, o que permitirá, desse modo, irmanar alguns dos elementos que constituem o cerne temático desta investigação.The purpose of this research is to analyse the novel Cartas a Sandra, written by the Portuguese author Vergílio Ferreira. Cartas a Sandra, an intimate and confessional work, associates, in a last exercise of poetic art, themes and key elements in order to construct an universal whole, promoting, in a phenomenological consistency, the junction of different compositions and the intense dialogue between them. From a vast area of literature, we chose the epistolary novel, memoir or essay on daily life, whose sense of contiguity is revealed at the end, not only in what concerns Vergílio’s works but also the life of the author himself. Therefore, with the present study, we aim to highlight the novel as a privileged space, capable of performing the synthesis of Vergílio Ferreira’s thoughts beneath various forms of expression. Assuming a hermeneutic perspective, we intend to analyse this work based on the interpretation by placing different questions surrounding the fictional construction of the text being studied. Thus, in the first instance, and always in accordance with an attitude that we want to be rigorous, we will analyze, on the one hand, the theoretical paths of the currents of neorealism and existentialism that permeate the novel's fictional construction under study, and, on the other hand, establish the characteristics of the epistolary record, contrasting its various manifestations. Afterwards, we’ll seek historically and culturally contextualize the work under review, opting for a comprehensive foray into the novel Cartas a Sandra. In this sense, we’ll try to understand the significance that led to the selection of the epistolary genre, a genre characterized by its reduced informativeness for the production of texts, determining its functionality, in the view of aesthetics “jaussiana” reception. Conclusively, we will conduct a comparative study with other works of the same author, a dialogue of affinities, making approximate their similarities, particularly autobiographical, and thus fraternize some of the elements that constitute the core theme of this investigation

    The research carried out in this document, was developed from the paradigm of Community Music Therapy, with a group of adolescents displaced by the armed conflict in Colombia and favor meetings between them, in order to contribute to the reconstruction of the identity, benefiting healthy living and quality of life. The participants are teenagers, children of peasant families from different regions of the country, who, due to the consequences of the violence of the armed conflict in this country, are forced to leave their places of origin. In this context, this process was carried out with young victims of the conflict, of the Organization "Benposta Nación de Muchachos", which is aimed at the search for the restoration of children's rights. So that, with the music therapy methods significant changes were achieved in the participants, in the areas of personal space, social space and space of place and time, which contain the foundation of their identities. Due to the research requirements, the qualitative methodology was chosen with emphasis on the ethnographic method, through which it was possible to meet them on a daily basis, since the participants live, live together and study in the same organization.La investigación realizada en este documento, se desarrolló desde el paradigma de la Musicoterapia Comunitaria, con un grupo de adolescentes desplazados por el conflicto armado en Colombia, con el fin de favorecer los encuentros entre ellos, y contribuir en la re-construcción de la identidad, beneficiando la sana convivencia y su calidad de vida. Los participantes son adolescentes, hijos de familias campesinas de diferentes regiones del país, que por las consecuencias que deja la violencia del conflicto armado en este país, se ven obligados a marcharse de sus lugares de origen. En este contexto, se realizó este proceso con jóvenes víctimas del conflicto, de la Organización “Benposta Nación de Muchachos”, la cual está orientada a la búsqueda del restablecimiento de los derechos de la infancia. De tal forma, que con los métodos musicoterapéuticos se lograron cambios significativos en los participantes, en las áreas del espacio personal, espacio social y el espacio de lugar y tiempo, los cuales contienen el fundamento de sus identidades. Por los requerimientos de la investigación, se eligió la metodología cualitativa con énfasis en el método etnográfico, por medio del cual fue posible conocerlos en un cotidiano, ya que los participantes viven, conviven y estudian en la misma organización.Magíster en Musicoterapia.     ResumoO presente texto, marcado por uma escrita heterodoxa, apresenta, em dois tempos, uma conversa imaginária entre o autor e a historiadora Sandra Jatahy Pesavento. O primeiro tempo dessa conversa se dá em 2009, poucos meses após seu falecimento. O autor homenageia sua professora, na apresentação de um dossiê temático sobre “Cidade e Patrimônio”, em uma publicação voltada à educação patrimonial promovida pelo então Mestrado em Memória Social e Patrimônio Cultural. Realiza um diálogo entre o texto “Cidade, Espaço e Tempo: Reflexões sobre a Memória e o Patrimônio Urbano” e os textos publicados por cinco discentes deste PPG, correspondentes a suas pesquisas de mestrado sobre Pelotas e Bagé. Na oportunidade de republicar a conversa com a Sandra, uma década depois, ocorre o segundo tempo desta conversa. O autor responde a perguntas imaginárias da Sandra sobre os desdobramentos das iniciativas patrimoniais que estavam em curso na última visita da historiadora à cidade, em 2007. Esta conversa se encerra ao concluir que a sua contribuição ao estudos patrimoniais em Pelotas merece ser reconhecida como parte do seu legado. Sempre foi entusiasta apoiadora destes estudos, que em muitos casos trouxeram benefício ao desenvolvimento da cidade e da região.AbstractThis text, marked by a heterodox writing, presents, in two stages, an imaginary conversation between the author and the historian Sandra Jatahy Pesavento. The first part of this conversation takes place in 2009, a few months after her death. The author pays homage to his former professor, in the presentation of a thematic dossier on “City and Cultural Heritage”, in a publication focused on heritage education promoted by the Masters in Social Memory and Cultural Heritage. He conducts a dialogue between her paper “City, Space and Time: Reflections on Memory and Urban Heritage” (2005) and the texts published by five students of this Graduate Studies Course, corresponding to their master’s research about the towns Pelotas and Bagé. Thanks to the opportunity to republish this conversation with Sandra, a decade later, the second part of this conversation occurs. The author answers Sandra’s imaginary questions about the development of the heritage initiatives that were underway at the historian’s last visit to the city, in 2007. This conversation ends when the author concludes that her contribution to the heritage studies in Pelotas deserves to be recognized as part of her legacy. She has always been an enthusiastic supporter of these studies, which in many cases brought benefits to the development of the city and the region
