O corpus da pesquisa constitui-se por poemaspertencentes às duas versões do livro A super-realidade (1995; 2011) eao livro Longe da aldeia (2005). O principal objetivo do trabalho écompreender como a relação entre o sujeito poético e acontemporaneidade se desenvolve formalmente na poesia desse autorque opta pelo uso do verso livre, o que possibilita variadas leiturasrítmicas a cada poema. Para tanto, articulo um breve histórico sobreparte da poesia portuguesa contemporânea, acompanhado da reflexãoacerca de alguns conceitos formais mobilizados em tal obra a fim deentender como o ritmo poético contribui para materializar essa relação. Abstract : In this study, I present a discussion about poetic rhythm from the workof Rui Pires Cabral. The research corpus is constituted by poemsbelonging to the two versions of the book A super-realidade (1995;2011) and the book Longe da aldeia (2005). The main objective of thisstudy is to understand how the relationship between the poetic subjectand the contemporaneity formally develops in the poetry of this authorwho opts for the use of free verse, which enables different rhythmicreadings of each poem. Therefore, I articulate a brief history about thecontemporary Portuguese poetry, accompanied by a very general look ofsome formal concepts mobilized in such work in order to understandhow the poetic rhythm contributes to materialize this relationship

    The trombone as portrayed in Portuguese iconography during the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries

    This article studies eleven sixteenth and seventeenth century iconographical sources depicting slide brass instruments, by both Portuguese and foreign artists active in Portugal, as well as foreign artists depicting Portuguese scenes. This study addresses questions concerning aspects of trombone technique that have not previously been considered and may have implications in the way the trombone was understood elsewhere in Europe. It focuses on aspects of technique depicted that may be representative of the trombone’s contemporary design and performance and therefore the manner in which the instrument was held and indeed played. Finally, this article suggests a transitional technical period when the way of holding the single-slide trumpet may have been used to play the trombone.Publisher PD

    Resumo: Neste artigo, apresento análises rítmico-formais de três poemas-colagens de autoria do poeta português contemporâneo Rui Pires Cabral, integrantes do livro Biblioteca de rapazes, publicado no ano de 2012. Neles, o desenvolvimento de seus respectivos temas é acompanhado de imagens que remetem, aos leitores, uma espécie de figuração dos campos semânticos então montados poeticamente, o que propicia dinamismo à linguagem verbal registrada em tais textos e às próprias conceituações dos termos teóricos “verso”, “estrofe” e “ritmo”, as quais, como se sabe, são fundamentais em matéria de poesia. O objetivo teórico-crítico deste texto é o de refletir sobre esse tipo de poemas junto da elaboração do entendimento conceitual dos termos poéticos mencionados, que são problematizados nos discursos literários dos dessa poesia-colagem, composta por meio do uso de imagens que, como dito, substanciam as dimensões temáticas desse tipo de enunciado artístico.Palavras-Chave: poema-colagem; poesia portuguesa contemporânea; Rui Pires Cabral; verso livre.Abstract: The purpose of this research is to introduce a rhytmic-formal analyze of three collage-poems written by Rui Pires Cabral, on his book Biblioteca de rapazes, published on 2012. In this edition, the themes are developted with images that refers a figuration of semantic fields then poetically builded. This kind of choice provides dynamism to the verbal language registred in such texts and to the concept of the theoretical terms, like verso, estrofe and ritmo. We all know that this concepts are fundamental in terms of poetry. Therefore, the theoretical-critical objective of this article is to discuss this type of poems and the elaboration of the conceptual compreehention of the previouslly mentioned poetic terms, problematized in the literary discourses of those collage-poems, composed by the use of images that build the thematic dimensions of this kind of artistic work.Keywords: collage-poems; Portuguese contemporary poetry; Rui Pires Cabral; free verse

    Rui Knopfli: atrito, delito e conflito

    The poetry written by the mozambican poet Rui Knopfli is varied, cosmopolitam and free from territorial bonds. One may say, thus, with the aid of Michel Collot, that Knopfli's writting produces frictions, commits literary misdeeds and comes into conflict with the elected canon. Presently considered to be one of the three founders of mozambican poetry, Knopfli was nevertheless kept apart from his country's canon due to his poetic mischiefs and for not aligning himself with the themes considered proper to the decolonization period.O poeta moçambicano Rui Knopfli possui uma poesia cosmopolita multifacetada e liberta de amarras territoriais. Percebe-se, portanto, junto a Michel Collot, que Knopfli tem uma escrita que atrita, comete delitos literários e entra em conflito com o cânone vigente. Considerado, atualmente, pertencente ao tripé literário fundador da poesia de Moçambique, manteve-se, devido às suas estripulias poéticas, à parte do cânone moçambicano por não coadunar com as temáticas literárias vigentes no período de descolonização
