Dynamic Ranking of IEEE VIS Author Importance
The ranking of authors is an important task within the field of sci- entometrics, and several different methods and criteria exist. In this poster abstract, we present an interactive visualization approach for exploring combinations of several different ranking criteria for a given set of publications and its associated co-author network. Ourvisualization tool allows the user to gain insights into the relative importance of individual authors as well as into the interdependency of different ranking criteria

Hero vis-à-vis Author
This article examines the complex relationship between the hero and the author. Through a reflexive phenomenological tone, it is argued that the hero depicts the emotional seed of the subject itself while the author is the beautiful mind that projects events and worlds by cultivating the intellectual seed. The call of adventure as a ringing bell for the hero and the author, the proclaimed Death of the Author, the almost confirmed Death of the Hero, and the horizon of the Teacher’s Death are discussed. In this setting, the fear from the authority of the hero and the author remains imminent. This article attempts to move beyond the horizon of death certificates in order to reach primary frequencies at the nexus between author and hero, derived from the very inner tones of the human psyche that come as a call to take us away to the beautiful world of Aha Erlebnis. The author and the hero – they do matter
In situ monitoring redox processes in energy storage using UV–Vis spectroscopy
Understanding energy storage mechanisms in electrochemical energy storage devices lays the foundations for improving their energy and power density. Here we introduce in situ ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectroscopy method to distinguish battery-type, pseudocapacitive and electrical double-layer charge storage processes. On the basis of Ti3C2Tx MXene in aqueous acidic and neutral electrolytes, and lithium titanium oxide in an organic electrolyte, we found a correlation between the evolution of UV–Vis spectra and the charge storage mechanism. The electron transfer number for Ti3C2Tx in an acidic electrolyte was calculated using quantitative analysis, which was close to previous measurements using X-ray absorption spectroscopy. Further, we tested the methodology to distinguish the non-Faradaic process in Ti3C2Tx MXene in a water-in-salt electrolyte, despite well-defined peaks in cyclic voltammograms. In situ UV–Vis spectroscopy is a fast and cost-effective technique that effectively supplements electrochemical characterization to track changes in oxidation state and materials chemistry and determine the charge storage mechanism.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository ‘You share, we take care!’ – Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.RST/Storage of Electrochemical Energ
Retinitis Pigmentosa GTPase Regulator (RPGR) protein isoforms in mammalian retina:insights into X-linked Retinitis Pigmentosa and associated ciliopathies
Mutations in the cilia-centrosomal protein Retinitis Pigmentosa GTPase Regulator (RPGR) are a frequent cause of retinal degeneration. The RPGR gene undergoes complex alternative splicing and encodes multiple protein isoforms. To elucidate the function of major RPGR isoforms (RPGR 1-19 and RPGR ORF15), we have generated isoform-specific antibodies and examined their expression and localization in the retina. Using sucrose-gradient centrifugation, immunofluorescence and co-immunoprecipitation methods, we show that RPGR isoforms localize to distinct sub-cellular compartments in mammalian photoreceptors and associate with a number of cilia-centrosomal proteins. The RCC1-like domain of RPGR, which is present in all major RPGR isoforms, is sufficient to target it to the cilia and centrosomes in cultured cells. Our findings indicate that multiple isotypes of RPGR may perform overlapping yet somewhat distinct transport-related functions in photoreceptors
Correspondent relationship of credit institutions vis-à-vis money laundering and terrorist financing
This paper deals with the legal relationship between correspondent and respondent banks as part of a correspondent transaction. At the same time, the author analyses the performance of the due diligence on the respondent bank. In the last chapter, the author reflects on the existing application problems, supporting the currently growing trend of decreasing the number of new correspondent relationships. The primary objective of this paper is to establish, through comprehensive research on the existing legal regulation of correspondence relations at the European Union and Slovak Republic levels, a hypothesis regarding the interdependence between current application problems and the diminishing trend observed in new correspondence relations. Following scientific methods were used in this paper: the method of analysis and synthesis, method of abstraction, comparative method.

Burden of Proof vis-a-vis General Exceptions\u27 - A Burden on the Prosecution?
Highlighting the common law hangover with respect to the burden of proof vis-a-vis general exceptions, the author argues that judicial interpretation has increased the burden on the prosecution in a criminal trial, which is unwarranted
