Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas; ArgentinaTordillos is one of several stratiform copper deposits (V, U) of the Neuquén Basin, located in the northern sector of the Dorsal Huincul to the SW of anticlinal Sauzal Bonito. The deposit has an estimated total resource of 9.5 Mt and 0.42 % Cu grades with U (135-251 ppm) and V (250-980 ppm) anomalies. The mineralization is epigenetic and fills the secondary porosity of the permeable and bleached sandstones of the Huincul Formation. It consists of chalcocite with relict chalcopyrite and bornite and supergene Cu-V-U minerals (covellite, brochantite > malachite, copper wad-tenorite and cuprite, chrysocolla, Cu-KBa vanadates and urovanadates) always in contact with impregnations of bitumen. The textural evidences of dissolution of authigenic minerals (hematite-quartz-barite 1-calcite 1) and detrital grains and the chronological order of precipitation of new cements (clays-barite 2-pyrite-calcite 2-Cu sulfides-barite 3) in sandstones document a complex history for the formation of this deposit. The influx of several pulses of fluids (basinal waters rich in Ba, hydrocarbons, and brines with Cu chlorides) and their mixing with interstitial waters of the Huincul Formation, that contained sulfates, may have produced the mineralization. The Andean tectonics during the Miocene must have caused the breakdown of seals and the upward flow of these multiple fluids pulses from the reservoir into the sandstones and conglomerates of the Huincul Formation through preexisting structures of the Dorsal de Huincul.trueTordillos es uno de los numerosos depósitos de cobre (V-U) estratiformes de la Cuenca Neuquina y está ubicado en el sector norte de la dorsal de Huincul, al SO del anticlinal Sauzal Bonito.
Differential stability of 2'F-ANA*RNA and ANA*RNA hybrid duplexes: roles of structure, pseudohydrogen bonding, hydration, ion uptake and flexibility
14 pags., 7 figs., 3 tabs.Hybrids of RNA with arabinonucleic acids 2′F-ANA and ANA have very similar structures but strikingly different thermal stabilities. We now present a thorough study combining NMR and other biophysical methods together with state-of-the-art theoretical calculations on a fully modified 10-mer hybrid duplex. Comparison between the solution structure of 2′F-ANA•RNA and ANA•RNA hybrids indicates that the increased binding affinity of 2′F-ANA is related to several subtle differences, most importantly a favorable pseudohydrogen bond (2′F-purine H8) which contrasts with unfavorable 2′-OH-nucleobase steric interactions in the case of ANA. While both 2′F-ANA and ANA strands maintained conformations in the southern/eastern sugar pucker range, the 2′F-ANA strand's structure was more compatible with the A-like structure of a hybrid duplex. No dramatic differences are found in terms of relative hydration for the two hybrids, but the ANA•RNA duplex showed lower uptake of counterions than its 2′F-ANA•RNA counterpart. Finally, while the two hybrid duplexes are of similar rigidities, 2′F-ANA single strands may be more suitably preorganized for duplex formation. Thus the dramatically increased stability of 2′F-ANA•RNA and ANA•RNA duplexes is caused by differencesin at least four areas, of which structure and pseudohydrogen bonding are the most important. © The Author(s) 2010. Centro Patagónico de Estudios Metalogenéticos; ArgentinaIn situ laser ablation quadrupole inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-Q- ICPMS) allows us to
obtain rapid, accurate, and precise Pb isotope measurements together with trace elements in galena (McFarlane et al., 2016). Recent investigations have shown that galena can host a broader range of elements than previously recognized, many of them (e.g., Ag, Bi, Se, Te) can be extracted as by-products of an ore containing galena and others (Sb, Cd, Tl) existas impurities (George et al., 2015).
Pb isotopic studies have been applied as a tool in exploration of metallogenic terrains based on comparing the isotopic compositions of existing deposits within a district to prospective showings. Bouhier et al. (2017) presented Pb isotopic data of the Navidad Ag world class epithermal deposit. These authors indicated that the Pb isotopic ratios of Jurassic volcanic rocks and ore minerals from epithermal deposits of Patagonia have distinctive signatures in the North Patagonian Massif, the Deseado Massif, and the Andean region that vary with time in the volcanic events of the Chon Aike Volcanic Province.
The objective of this contribution is to present new Pb isotopic data and trace elements obtained with the
method LA-Q-ICPMS in galena from epithermal deposits in Argentina in order to identify patterns at regional and local scales that may be useful in exploration or exploitation
In the whole of Brazilian writer Ana Miranda#s fictional narrative, the travel thematic # considered one of the most fertile themes of the western literature of all times # occupies a central space, and can even been seen as the most important structuring axis of Miranda#s works. The aim of the present thesis is to analyze the treatment given to the travel subject in the novels Desmundo, O retrato do rei, Dias & Dias and Amrik, emphasizing that, through the traveling narrators, Oribela, Mariana, Feliciana and Amina, the author promotes a connection between different cultures, genders, ethnics and generations, at the same time that establishes a profitable dialogue with the past in her invariant problematization concerning the limits and crossings between the fictional and the extra-literary narrative discourses that surrounds it, mainly the historical and the biographic ones

Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas; ArgentinaLa Cuprosa is a Revett or sandstone sub-type sediment-hosted stratiform Cu deposit of the Portezuelo Formation (Neuquén Group), located over the Aguada Baguales oil field, Huincul Ridge. Its diagenetic story can be subdivided in: diagenesis, mineralization and telogenesis. During early diagenesis hematite and kaolinite precipitated from meteoric waters. Early oxidation of hydrocarbon in depth, rising CO2 and mixing with meteoric waters produced calcite I precipitation. The incoming of liquid hydrocarbons and redox reactions with the rock generated: clasts and previous cements dissolution, porosity increase, smectite ± chlorite and syntaxial micro-quartz cements, reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+ to form pyrite (± chlorite), and later analcime and baroque calcite II precipitation. Circulation of slightly oxidizing, neutral, Cu-rich basinal brines could extract Cu from subjacent red beds and igneous rocks, transport it in solution, and precipitate Cu-Fe sulfides in contact with hydrocarbons. These sulfides replaced pyrite and generated partial iron remobilization to the periphery of the mineralization zone. Andean tectonic during the Miocene produced the telogenetic processes: calcite III formation, and Cu sulfides replacement by malachite> chrysocolla> azurite> brochantite? and pyrite by hematite> goethite. The bleaching distribution mapped by satellite imagery analysis and the zonation of the alteration can be utilized for hydrocarbon migration and similar stratiform Cu deposits studies.trueLa Cuprosa es un depósito de Cu estratiforme hospedado en rocas sedimentarias de la Formación Portezuelo (Grupo Neuquén) tipo Revett o sub-tipo sandstone, ubicado sobre el yacimiento hidrocarburífero Aguada Baguales, Dorsal de Huincul.
