Dr. Mukhtar-ud-din Ahmad is one of the distinguished Urdu poets in Europe. He is a dauntless critic of political and contemporary conditions of his age. In his purposeful verse, he seems to be a follower of the poetic tradition of Iqbal and Zafar Ali Khan. His poetic creation 'Aks-e-Awaz' carries diverse topics such as divine wisdom, love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW),natural beauty, patriotism, recognition of self, internal pain and problems of Muslim Ummah. He has depicted a dreadful picture of atrocities inflicted by the developed nations on the Muslim. He has also highlighted the miserable condition of his brethren in Pakistan.

The poetry of Urdu poets is pregnant with the ideas of love and freedom. Pakistan is an embodiment of the desires of the Muslim Ummah of the subcontinent . The Muslims made relentless struggle for the accomplishment of their dream i.e. freedom of Pakistan. Ultimately our extraordinary efforts of attaining a separate land bore fruit and Pakistan emerged as a sovereign state where we could sing the songs of love and freedom. Our country is truly a heaven on earth. Love for the country and freedom outtop everything . The people of high acclaim like Quaid -e-Azam , Meer and Sir Syed were forced to leave the homeland but they could not leave it owing to their love for the land. There are numerous poets and writers like Zafar Ali Khan, Hasrat Mohani , Jigar Murad Abadi , Afsar Merthi ,Asarar Ul- Haq Majaz , Allama Iqbal, Joosh Malih Abadi , Akhtar Sherani , Faiz and Ahmad Nadeem Qsami who have sung the songs of love and freedom for the homeland

Mauj Din Faridi is an unknown but one of the prominent poets of Baba Farid's city Pakpattan. An immense variety of subjects is found in his poetry. The maturity of his thoughts and artistic perfection of his poetry prove him as an eminent poet. We can find mysticism, spiritual wisdom, situations of separation and union in his poetry. The root cause of moral barrenness and crisis of our character is our indifference from history and disharmony with our culture
Semantic Sysytem of Faiz' Imprisoned Poetry
Poetry of Faiz Ahmad Faiz has all the qualities of great and sublime poetry. The poetry he created during his imprisonment was an impressive synthesis of effects of classical and contemporary poetry. The poetry produced in prison evolved in such a way that 'Nazm' and 'Ghazal' came closer to each other. Like love, prison proved to be a kind of grand experience for Faiz which provoked new thoughts. The poetry produced during days of his imprisonment forms almost two third part of his whole work. He used poetic diction, similes, metaphors and other poetic elements with addition of new meanings to them. His work depicts the troubles of imprisonment and it expressed the strong spirit of patriotism too. In his poetry the subjects related to social and political life are reflected through portrayal of human feelings and passions.
