    No full text
In decentralized manufacturing environment with multiple factories that are scattered geographically, the complexity of production systems increases, and capacity planning and allocation of resources have become a significant concern that affects system performances. This study focuses on the development of an integrated framework to allocate limited budget in a multiple-factory environment. We develop a negotiation framework with learning mechanism to allocate autonomously finite budget provided by a headquarter and to facilitate the use of limited manufacturing resources that are scattered over individual factories. The outcome of the experiments shows good prediction of the opponent offers during negotiation, so it enables the reduction of negotiation time

Studies on the role of the Peureulak Sultanate in Islamization in Indonesia still need to be completed. By conducting this research, this research can fill the knowledge gap about the role and contribution of the Peureulak Sultanate in the Islamization process in Indonesia. Apart from that, this research is important in the context of strengthening Islamic identity in Aceh. Through analysis of historical evidence, this research will look at and analyze how the role of the Peureulak Sultanate influenced and shaped Islamic identity in Aceh. This can help preserve and strengthen the Acehnese people's cultural identity, which is closely related to Islam. By reviewing the role of the Peureulak Sultanate in Islamization in Indonesia, we can view this process from a more holistic perspective. This study pays attention to historical, social, cultural, and identity aspects so that we can understand the Islamization process comprehensively and contextually. This research is historical. The research was carried out by conducting literature studies, document and archive studies, in-depth interviews with local figures in Perlak, conducting field studies at heritage sites of the Perlak sultanate (graves of the Perlak kings, ancient harbor, Perlak River), and conducting historical analysis. The findings from this research reveal that the Perlak Sultanate has a rich historical heritage, especially in the form of the tombs of the Perlak kings, which played an important role in strengthening Islamic identity in Aceh. The Perlak Sultanate also played a role in the pepper trade, which, through trade routes, helped spread Islam. The pepper trade not only creates economic wealth but also brings positive changes in the culture and society, with values such as brotherhood, tolerance, mutual respect and respect becoming a strong foundation. The results of this research provide in-depth insight into the historical role of the Perlak Sultanate in the formation of Islamic identity in Aceh and the importance of factors such as trade in this process. This study makes a valuable contribution to understanding Aceh's diverse history and culture

A Critical Discourse Analysis of the Construction of Acehnese-Chinese Ethnic Identity in Socio-Political Dynamics

    No full text
This study explores how ethnic identities of Acehnese and Chinese communities are constructed through digital discourse, focusing on narratives of prejudice and integration as expressed on Facebook. Using Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as the main framework, complemented by Van Dijk’s socio-cognitive approach and Foucault’s discourse-power relationship, this study examines how language, ideology, and social memory shape interethnic representations. Data were collected from public Facebook posts between January and September 2024 using keywords such as “Aceh and Chinese” and “Chinese and Aceh,” and supported by interviews with selected users. The findings reveal a pattern of dualistic representation: historical tensions and symbolic prejudices persist, while efforts towards coexistence and shared identity also emerge. The dominant narratives often come from the Acehnese community, with the Chinese group showing a more cautious approach in digital expression. Labeling, metaphor, polarization, and references to historical trauma and moments of integration are key linguistic strategies identified in the discourse. Social media platforms like Facebook play a paradoxical role—both reinforcing ethnic bias through algorithmic echo chambers and enabling counter-narratives that foster intercultural understanding. Identity construction is shaped by both internal factors (such as education and ideology) and external factors (such as collective memory, interethnic experiences, and digital infrastructure). This study highlights the importance of critical media literacy in multicultural societies, especially in post-conflict areas like Aceh. It suggests the use of inclusive digital spaces and educational interventions that promote reflective historical awareness, reduce prejudice, and support cultural integration in online and offline environments

The informants who participated in this study were 44 students. Coming from 3 schools namely SMPN 2 Langsa, SMPN 3 Langsa and SMPN 1 Babalan, North Sumatra. The research was conducted in May 2021. The data validity technique used source triangulation and interactive analysis was used as a data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of Generation Z are not fully owned by children in their early teens in research settings. In some cases, differences in character and values between teachers and students become obstacles to strengthening character education. Integrity character is the weakest character. Barriers to social relations in the development of Generation Z are caused by the fact that they are in the stage of finding their own identity and characteristics. In this situation, the teacher can take the role of guiding and providing support so that there is no gap between generations which results in culture shock between the teacher and student relationship. The initial conditions of the Z generation can be used as a reference for determining teacher efforts in obtaining keys in interpersonal relations with students and building an atmosphere that supports strengthening character educatio

    No full text
This paper focuses on the historical exploration and collective memory of the Tamiang Monument in Medan, Indonesia. This paper examines how monuments can build collective memory and link history to people's lives at a certain time so that it can be interpreted. Through historical methods, the study results show that the Tamiang Monument plays an essential role in the inheritance of collective memory about the conquest of Tamiang as part of the Aceh region by the Dutch colonialists. The monument is an important symbol to remind people of the greatness and courage in the struggle against the colonizers. However, after the Tamiang Monument was destroyed, all narratives and reminders of the Tamiang War were lost. The loss of this monument also has implications for the loss of the values of the legacy of tenacity, fighting spirit, and collective identity associated with this important event. Therefore, it is important to rebuild the Tamiang Monument as an initial step to revive collective memory and pass on the values of struggle to the younger generation. Monuments play an important role in building and maintaining the community's collective identity and strengthening the historical awareness of the Tamiang and Aceh communities

    No full text
As a foundational Islamic kingdom in the Indonesian archipelago, the Pasai Sultanate possesses a strategic heritage that remains underutilized in addressing contemporary challenges, such as the erosion of cultural identity, declining social tolerance, and low historical literacy. This study adopts a qualitative approach utilizing historical-interpretive analysis. Data were gathered through comprehensive documentary reviews of inscriptions and artifacts, field observations at heritage sites, and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including museum curators, educators, researchers, and the youth of North Aceh. The research offers three primary contributions: First, it identifies the strategic value of Pasai’s legacy as \u27living heritage\u27—a dynamic symbol of a cosmopolitan civilization defined by tolerance and global integration. Second, it reveals a significant generational divide, wherein many young people perceive this legacy as static and disconnected from modern life. Finally, the study proposes an adaptive revitalization model built on three pillars: integrating the Pasai narrative into multicultural education, developing technology-driven heritage tourism, and leveraging digital media and creative industries to foster a sense of collective ownership

Poropuntius tawarensis is an endemic fish of Laut Tawar that is currently classified as Endangered according to the IUCN Red List. The decline in its population is caused by habitat degradation, overfishing, and the introduction of alien species that act as predators This study aims to analyze the diversity and distribution patterns the population of kawan fish (Poropuntius tawarensis) in Lake Laut Tawar, Central Aceh Regency. Fish samples were collected from four different locations and analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener and Morisita indices. The results indicate that the diversity level of kawan fish (Poropuntius tawarensis) is classified as a "Low level of diversity," with significant differences between sampling locations. All locations (Hakim Balai Bujang: 0.796845; Toweren: 0.301815; Kelitu: 0.753952; Kala Segi: 0.467728) show a low level of diversity, which is H' 1. Analysis using the Standardized Morisita Index indicates that the distribution pattern of kawan fish (Poropuntius tawarensis) in the four study locations tends to be clumped dispersion. This is evidenced by Morisita index values greater than 1 at all sites (Hakim Balai Bujang: 1.2834; Toweren: 1.0212; Kelitu: 1.0053; Kala Segi: 1.0134). These values suggest that the fish tend to concentrate in specific areas within each village rather than being evenly distributed. Keywords:Poropuntius tawarensisLaut Tawar LakeDiversityDistribution Pattern
