    L'analisi aristotelica dei relativi

This article discusses the ontological status of the parts of substances in Aristotle’s theory of categories. Since in this theory the substantial parts, as well as the wholes, are primary subjects of predication, i.e. substances, a part may be to its whole as Socrates is to Callias so that the mereological composition of substances can be regarded as an accident (a relation). It is argued here that in Cat. 7 Aristotle is trying to rule out this possibility by redefining the boundaries of the category of relatives itself. Starting from the framework of the Academic debate and then following closely the text of Cat. 7, the author provides a detailed reconstruction of Aristotle’s argument in order to establish the reason for which the parts of substances hold such an uncertain status. Furthermore, he shows that the Categories do not provide a definitive solution to the mereological problem, which has rather to be sought in the Metaphysics. The following results are attained: a moderately systematic component is revealed in Aristotle’s Categories and a mereological element is detected in the very core of his theory of substance

This study aims to analyze the effect of LDR, NPL and NIM on ROA in BCA Sharia in Indonesia in 2010.1-2017.4. The research data were obtained from published financial statements from the official BCA Sharia website. A sample of 32 quarterly financial reports were recorded in the publication report on the BCA Sharia. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing using the F test and t test which had previously been tested classic assumptions first. The results showed that the LDR had a negative and significant effect on ROA, and the NIM had a significant effect while the NPL had no effect. From the research, it is obtained adjusted R2 of 0.382, it means that 38.2% of the dependent variable that is ROA can be explained by the variation of independent variables namely LDR, NPL and NIM while the remaining 61.8% is explained by other variables or other factors.[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh LDR, NPL dan NIM terhadap ROA pada bank BCA syariah di Indonesia tahun 2010.1-2017.4.

This aims to analyze the impact of macroeconomic variables, namely economic growth, inflation rate, and labor wages, on the long-term financial growth rate of construction companies in Indonesia in 2010.1 - 2021.4. The research method uses the Error Correction Model - Engle Grager. The stationary data, a root unit test, the first difference, and a cointegration test are carried out to ensure that the model can be continued with the ECM equation. The data used in this study is a secondary time series data published by the BPS. The result of this study is that there is a long-term balance correlation between economic growth, inflation, and labor wages with the financial growth rate of construction companies in Indonesia for the period 2010.1 - 2021.4. The theoretical contribution of this study is the relationship between macroeconomic variables and the financial growth rate of construction companies in Indonesia. The variables of economic growth, inflation rate, and labor wages correlate with the long-term financial growth of construction companies in Indonesia. The novelty of this research lies in an approach that focuses on the specific characteristics of the construction industry in Indonesia, which is different from previous studies that were primarily conducted in developed countries. This study develops an ECM-based analytical model that considers the adjustment mechanism for short-term imbalances and how macroeconomic variables shape the financial stability of construction companies in the long term. Practically, the results of this study provide policy recommendations for the government and construction industry players in anticipating the impact of macroeconomic variables on the company's financial stability

Peran Pendidikan Sumberdaya Manusia Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Di Indonesia, Tahun 1975-2000=EducationalRole of Human Resource to Economic Growth in Indonesia, 1975 - 2000

The role of education is very important in economic growth because it is the means for investing human resource skills. When all people have their own professional, physical modal of the nation will be efficient at all fields and can adopt technique of the new technology such as machines in indus-try, computers, etc. So, education can be used to improve labor productivities. To be one of the developing countries, Indonesia is violently attacked by multi-dimension crises for unbalancing income distribution, poverty, stag-nancy, unemployment, etc. These problems are usually happened to all de-veloping countries. For solving those matters, education has its significant role to improve access and social mobility both vertical and horizontal. It is also one of the instruments to alleviation poverty. To base on this idea, re-searcher wants to find out the educational roles of human resources to de-velop economic growth in Indonesia. This research examines the empirical impact of public educational lev-els of the people to develop the economic growth in Indonesia as well as private educational investment. It also investigates the public expenditure of the government on educational sector in order to develop the economic growth. Estimation is tested with some models such as classical linear re-gression (Ordinary Least Square) and Engle-Granger correction model (Engle-Granger Error Correction Model). Data used are annual data, so to get success and the best result data have to pass with al] tests like diagnostics, economet-rics, statistics and also economic theory test. Based of those results, government is suggested to develop important variables growth necessarily, especially public expenditure because from the data, public expenditure in Indonesia is very low if it compares to all member countries of ASEAN. Allocations of expenditure, especially g.ovem-ment subsidy on all kinds of educational sectors have to be reformed in order to improve all levels, which are more efficient in the future. Key Words: Education - Economic Growth - Human Resource

    T : A Data-Centric, Cyber-Physical Cooling Energy Costs Reduction

    No full text
Explosion in Big Data has led to a surge in extremely large-scale Big Data Analytic platforms, resulting in burgeoning energy costs. Big Data compute model mandates strong data-locality for computation performance due to Big Data inertia and bandwidth constraints, and moves computations to data. State-of-the-art cooling energy management techniques rely on thermal-aware computational job placement/migration and are inherently data agnostic in nature. T* takes a novel data-centric approach to reduce cooling energy costs. On the physical side, T* is cognizant of the thermal-profile in the data centers. On the cyber-side, T* is aware of the differences in the data-semantics (i.e., computational job profile, job rate, and life spans) of the Big Data placed in the compute cloud. Based on this knowledge, and coupled with its predictive data models, T* does proactive, cyber-physical, thermal-aware data placement, which implicitly results in thermal-aware job placement in the Big Data Analytics cloud compute model. Evaluation results with one-month long real-world Big Data analytics production traces show up to 59% reduction in the cooling energy costs with T* while performing 9x better than the state-of-the-art data agnostic cooling techniques in the Big Data environment.Submitted by Rini Kaushik ([email protected]) on 2012-05-04T04:45:04Z No. of bitstreams: 1 paper_fast (2).pdf: 1018130 bytes, checksum: 3ba64f6c38514916ccb3fc3855ff5c0d (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2012-05-04T04:45:04Z (GMT).
