It provides powerful statistical and analysis tools. InterMine as a platform has a web interface in which user can run searches and incorporates specialized resources such as enrichment statistics. InterMineR is one of the software ’client’ libraries that interfaces the biological databases built using the InterMine platform with a programming environment, in this case R. In this project, new functionalities have been implemented to enable the user to work with stored collections of data and saved results sets created from a web-service, called lists. The new functions have been merged and published in the new Bioconductor version of the package. The main aim of this project is to create a graphical user interface (GUI) to query the InterMine databases and generating Cytoscape network visualizations. We developed a software that runs on desktop environment. It allows users to reduce the complexity of the data and extract meaning from it. It will allow data in InterMines to be further analysed - increasing its FAIRness

Dataset for Community Water Enterprises in Cambodia: Entrepreneurship and development narratives project

Dataset containing qualitative data, transcripts of interviews and group discussions. Audio recordings of interviews and audio-visual recordings of focus group discussions. Field notes from participant observations. The community water enterprise has become a scalable model for achieving Sustainable Development Goal number 6, pertaining to access to water for all. But it has been scarcely covered in academic studies and there are no studies that look at the politics embodied in this model of delivery or the social impact that it has in villages where it operates. This will contribute to knowledge by examining the effects on common pool resource management and how this mode of water delivery impacts on trust in water infrastructure and how it reconfigures customary relations and obligations in rural villages. Sensitive data has been removed and is available to discuss with the author. Contact Isaac Lyne [email protected] ORCID 0000-0002-3785-2560

-- ABSTRACT : This thesis pursues two complementary goals. First, it will examine various strategies of spatial setting in short stories and, more specifically, the notion of setting-character reversibility, in order to understand how setting becomes both the environment and the character in Lyne Richard's collection of short stories Il est venu avec des anémones. The second section of the thesis will explore a main spatial figure, in a collection of ten original short stories which, just as Lyne Richard's work, constitutes a short story cycle. The first section draws on the work of Christiane Lahaie, Bertrand Westphal and Fernando Lambert, as well as on certain aspects of the short story's definition, to show that the spatial setting strategies used by Lyne Richard in her work Il est venu avec des anémones allow the town of Roses-sur-Mer to become a character, thus fulfilling the genre's inherent principle of economy. The theoretical bases outlined in the first chapter of this section are a review of the various analytical approaches studied. The second chapter demonstrates that the spatial setting strategies of author Lyne Richard are diverse and that the relation between the protagonist and the main setting (choresis) is distinctive: incapable of truly inhabiting the city of Roses-sur-Mer, they are resigned, even destined, to die there. The third chapter depicts how the town acts as a proper character and that human beings are, in most cases, objectified whereas objects are anthropomorphized, a concept called setting-character reversibility. The second section includes ten short stories in which the setting - a corner store Bon marché - is presented through different perspectives. The setting therefore actively contributes to the narrative, whereas it both moulds the characters and is also moulded by them. The different spatial figures are subject to this focalization phenomenon; the perception of the same figure by the different narrators reveals their interiority. Moreover, each short story is autonomous and contributes to the structure uniformity in the cycle, mainly through the cotextualization and the resonances generated by recurrent elements: the main spatial figure, the characters, the objects and the themes. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : Choresis, Spatial figure, Geocriticism, Setting, Lyne Richard, Short story, Setting-character reversibility, Spatial setting strategies
