Estudio fisicoquímico y electroquímico de biocarbones y óxidos de cerio-níquel para el diseño de electrodos para la oxidación de urea
El presente trabajo reporta la síntesis, caracterización fisicoquímica y electroquímica tanto de biocarbones a partir de residuos orgánicos de nopal (Opuntia Leucotricha), desechos de café (Coffea arabica) y hueso de mango Ataulfo (Mangifera indica) que se prepararon mediante la pirólisis a tres temperaturas, 600 °C, 750 °C y 900 °C, en dos atmósferas, N2 y H2. Así como partículas de cerio níquel sintetizadas por micro emulsión inversa de nitratos de cerio y níquel, variando la cantidad de níquel en un 3 %, 6 %, 9 %, y 12 %. Se espera que las partículas sintetizadas sean electroactivas para la reacción de oxidación de urea, mientras que los biocarbones pirolizados en la primer parte del presente trabajo serán utilizados como soportes de electrocatalizadores, como alternativa al negro de carbono, llamado comercialmente Vulcan® XC 72. Tanto los biocarbones como las partículas sintetizados se caracterizaron mediante espectroscopía Raman y microscopía electrónica de barrido (SEM) para obtener información sobre su estructura química, tamaño y naturaleza morfológica respectivamente, en función de la temperatura y la atmósfera de pirólisis. Para evaluar el área superficial específica (SSA) se llevó a cabo una técnica de adsorción/desorción de N2, la conductividad eléctrica se calculó a través de mediciones de conductividad de dos puntos. Por último, se realizaron voltamperometrías cíclicas (CV) para la evaluación de la actividad catalítica y la capacitancia de doble capa. Los resultados indicaron que el biocarbón de mango demostró las propiedades más altas entre todos los biocarbones, como una conductividad eléctrica de 8.3 S/cm-1 a 900 °C en N2, una superficie específica de 829 m2/g a 600 °C en H2 y una capacitancia de ~300 mF/g a 900 °C en N2. Los biocarbones de nopal y café exhibieron excelentes superficies específicas, hasta 767 m2/g a 600 °C en N2 y 699 m2/g a 750 °C en H2, respectivamente; no obstante, su conductividad eléctrica y capacitancia eran limitadas. Podemos observar, que las muestras con un 3 % de níquel parecen tener mejor comportamiento catalítico, por lo que se decidió utilizarlas para realizar la prueba de viabilidad, dichas pruebas revelaron que los materiales sintetizados fueron catalíticamente activos para la oxidación de urea en concentración 0.1 M en un medio de KOH 1 M, usando las partículas de Cerio con una concentración de Níquel al 3% como catalizador y los biocarbones de nopal y mango pirolizados en atmósfera de hidrógeno a 600° C.InvestigadoresEstudiante
Ciberdemocracia: (re)pensar a democracia representativa a partir das redes sociais virtuais

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito.Em época de crise da democracia representativa e um crescente déficit na participação política surgem inúmeras questões quanto ao caminho a ser seguido em busca de mecanismos que possibilitem a aproximação do cidadão com seus representantes. Mas não só isso, também mecanismos nos quais os cidadãos estejam inseridos e possam efetivamente estar presentes nas discussões de interesse público. Assim, o presente trabalho busca analisar os principais conceitos de democracia desde a sua origem até o moderno modelo representativo e os problemas por ela enfrentados na atualidade. Além disso, estuda o surgimento das novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação e a organização da sociedade da informação que gerou as chamadas redes sociais mediadas por computador, facilitando a aproximação das pessoas, eis que tempo e espaço já não são mais obstáculos àqueles que usufruem dos mecanismos da internet. Por fim, será estudada a construção da ciberdemocracia, ou seja, a democracia que se serve dos instrumentos disponibilizados pela internet que, apesar dos problemas da exclusão e do analfabetismo digital, pode ser, através das redes sociais virtuais, o caminho para a participação e a inserção dos cidadãos na dinâmica da política. O estudo se deu pelo método dedutivo, através de pesquisa bibliográfica e procedimental, com o objetivo de descobrir se as redes sociais virtuais podem servir de instrumento para a inclusão política e o desenvolvimento de uma cidadania participativa.In times of crisis of the representative democracy and of a growing deficit in political participation, many questions are brought up oncerning the way to be followed in search of mechanisms that enable the approach of the citizens with their representatives. But not only that, also mechanisms in which citizens are inserted and can effectively be present to discuss issues of public interest. Thus, this dissertation analyzes the major concepts of democracy from its origins to the modern representative democracy and the problems it faces today. Furthermore, it addresses the emergence of information technology and communication and the organization of the information society that generated computer-mediated social networks, helping to bring people together, for time and space are no longer obstacles to those who use the mechanisms of the internet. Finally, the construction of cyberdemocracy will be studied, that is, the democracy which uses the tools available on the internet that despite the problems of digital exclusion and illiteracy, can be through social networking, the path to participation and inclusion of citizens in political dynamics. The method of studying the matter was the deductive one through bibliographical and procedural research, in order to find out whether social networking is able or not to serve as an instrument for political inclusion and development of a participatory citizenship
Gestión sistemas de información integrados de la enfermedad renal crónica de Montería 2020-2022
La Enfermedad Renal Crónica -ERC- se ha incrementado de manera considerable a nivel mundial, considerándose un problema de salud pública con implicaciones económicas en los pacientes y los sistemas de salud, en los cuales se genera abundante información que debe ser registrada en la Historia Clínica del Paciente -HCP- Objetivo. Analizar los procesos que inciden en la adecuada gestión de sistemas de información en salud o Historia Clínica Electrónica -HCE- integrada de pacientes con ERC que se encuentren en progresión hacia los estadios 3 y 4 de una red de IPSs de Montería. Metodología. Estudio descriptivo retrospectivo, transversal con enfoque mixto, estableciendo como variable dependiente la progresión de la ERC y como variables independientes retrasos en la atención, exámenes a repetición y datos de laboratorios, analizados a través de estadística descriptiva. Resultados. Las instituciones de salud no han iniciado los procesos de implementación de la HCE integral, siendo difícil el logro de la consolidación de las plataformas TIC como herramienta que favorece la universalización de la historia clínica. Conclusión. El grado de adherencia a la historia clínica integral de ERC es el nivel medio, presentándose oportunidades de mejoras en los parámetros establecidos en las guías de prácticas clínicas -GPC- para valoración e intervención en los casos confirmados, sospechosos o probables de ERC, en los organismos de atención primaria y relacionados por carencia de una HCE integral lo cual incide en la progresión de la ERC entre los pacientes con enfermedades precursoras
spaChronic Kidney Disease -CKD- has increased considerably worldwide, being considered a public health problem with economic implications for patients and health systems, in which abundant information is generated that should be recorded in the Patient Health Record -PHR- Objective. To analyze the processes that affect the adequate management of health information systems or integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) of patients with CKD who are progressing to stages 3 and 4 in a network of IPSs in Monteria. Methodology. Retrospective, cross-sectional descriptive study with a mixed approach, establishing CKD progression as a dependent variable and delays in care, repeat examinations and laboratory data as independent variables, analyzed through descriptive statistics. Results. The health institutions have not initiated the processes of implementation of the integral EHR, being difficult to achieve the consolidation of the ICT platforms as a tool that favors the universalization of the clinical history. Conclusion. La disponibilidad de material de siembra libre de enfermedades asegura el éxito en el establecimiento, rendimiento y calidad del cultivo. La micropropagación in vitro es una alternativa eficaz para obtener material vegetal con calidad fitosanitaria. El objetivo de este estudio fue estandarizar las condiciones de producción in vitro y ex vitro para la propagación y escalado de material de siembra de batata En condiciones de laboratorio se evaluaron estrategias de desinfección, caracterizaron microorganismos contaminantes y determinó la influencia de reguladores de crecimiento sobre plántulas in vitro. En invernadero y vivero se evaluaron mezclas de sustratos a base de turba (T), lombriabono (LA), cascarilla de arroz (CA), fibra de coco (FC) y arena fina (A) para mejorar la producción de material de siembra. Los resultados indicaron que lavado con yodopovidona y desinfección con hipoclorito de sodio al 2%, ácido acético y amonio cuaternario permitió erradicar el 70% de contaminantes. de los géneros Fusarium, Sarocladium, Cladosporium, Aspergillus, Pseudozyma, Moesziomyces y Curtobacterium. Los explantes cultivados con ANA (0,2ppm) presentaron una mayor producción de nudos y crecimiento aéreo significativamente superior al control. Para la aclimatación de vitroplantas, el sustrato compuesto por T:LA:CA (3:1:1) y cámara húmeda por 8 días permitió obtener plántulas super elite con buen crecimiento, altas tasas de supervivencia (92%) y multiplicación (3,53) en comparación con la estrategia convencional (turba, sin cámara húmeda). En condiciones de vivero, sustrato de A:LA:FC (7:1:2), produjo exitosamente hasta 79 mini-raíces/m2. Una mayor eficiencia en la producción de material de siembra de alta calidad con condiciones fitosanitarias garantizadas es una contribución importante para mejorar las estrategias globales de manejo de enfermedades en el cultivo de batata. The availability of disease-free planting material ensures successful establishment, yield, and quality of the crop. In vitro micropropagation is an effective alternative to obtain plant material with phytosanitary quality. The objective of this study was to standardize the in vitro and ex vitro production conditions for the propagation and scaling of sweet potato planting material. In laboratory conditions, disinfection strategies were evaluated, contaminating microorganisms were characterized and the influence of growth regulators on the development of the in vitro plant was determined. In the greenhouse and nursery, mixtures of substrates based on peat (T), vermicompost (LA), rice husks (CA), coconut fiber (FC) and fine sand (A) were evaluated to improve the production of planting material. The results indicated that washing with povidone-iodine and disinfection with 2% sodium hypochlorite, acetic acid and quaternary ammonium eradicated 70% of contaminants. of the genera Fusarium, Sarocladium, Cladosporium, Aspergillus, Pseudozyma, Moesziomyces and Curtobacterium. The explants cultured with ANA (0.2ppm) showed a higher production of nodes and aerial growth significantly higher than the control. For the acclimatization of vitroplants, the substrate composed of T:LA:CA (3:1:1) and a humid chamber for 8 days allowed obtaining super elite seedlings with good growth, high survival rates (92%) and multiplication (3, 53) compared to the conventional strategy (peat, without humid chamber). Under nursery conditions, A:LA:FC (7:1:2) substrate successfully produced up to 79 mini-roots/m2. Pretreatment Tissue TCR Repertoire Evenness Is Associated with Complete Pathologic Response in Patients with NSCLC Receiving Neoadjuvant Chemoimmunotherapy
PURPOSE: Characterization of the T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoire may be a promising source for predictive biomarkers of pathologic response to immunotherapy in locally advanced non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: In this study, next-generation TCR sequencing was performed in peripheral blood and tissue samples of 40 patients with NSCLC, before and after neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy (NADIM clinical trial, NCT03081689), considering their complete pathologic response (CPR) or non-CPR. Beyond TCR metrics, tissue clones were ranked by their frequency and spatiotemporal evolution of top 1% clones was determined. RESULTS: We have found a positive association between an uneven TCR repertoire in tissue samples at diagnosis and CPR at surgery. Moreover, TCR most frequently ranked clones (top 1%) present in diagnostic biopsies occupied greater frequency in the total clonal space of CPR patients, achieving an AUC ROC to identify CPR patients of 0.967 (95% confidence interval, 0.897–1.000; P = 0.001), and improving the results of PD-L1 tumor proportion score (TPS; AUC = 0.767; P = 0.026) or tumor mutational burden (TMB; AUC = 0.550; P = 0.687). Furthermore, tumors with high pretreatment top 1% clonal space showed similar immune cell populations but a higher immune reactive gene expression profile. Finally, the selective expansion of pretreatment tissue top 1% clones in peripheral blood of CPR patients suggests also a peripheral immunosurveillance, which could explain the high survival rate of these patients. CONCLUSIONS: We have identified two parameters derived from TCR repertoire analysis that could outperform PD-L1 TPS and TMB as predictive biomarkers of CPR after neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy, and unraveled possible mechanisms of CPR involving enhanced tumor immunogenicity and peripheral immunosurveillance

Goodbye Hartmann trial: a prospective, international, multicenter, observational study on the current use of a surgical procedure developed a century ago
Background: Literature suggests colonic resection and primary anastomosis (RPA) instead of Hartmann's procedure (HP) for the treatment of left-sided colonic emergencies. We aim to evaluate the surgical options globally used to treat patients with acute left-sided colonic emergencies and the factors that leading to the choice of treatment, comparing HP and RPA. Methods: This is a prospective, international, multicenter, observational study registered on ClinicalTrials.gov. A total 1215 patients with left-sided colonic emergencies who required surgery were included from 204 centers during the period of March 1, 2020, to May 31, 2020. with a 1-year follow-up. Results: 564 patients (43.1%) were females. The mean age was 65.9 +/- 15.6 years. HP was performed in 697 (57.3%) patients and RPA in 384 (31.6%) cases. Complicated acute diverticulitis was the most common cause of left-sided colonic emergencies (40.2%), followed by colorectal malignancy (36.6%). Severe complications (Clavien-Dindo >= 3b) were higher in the HP group (P < 0.001). 30-day mortality was higher in HP patients (13.7%), especially in case of bowel perforation and diffused peritonitis. 1-year follow-up showed no differences on ostomy reversal rate between HP and RPA. (P = 0.127). A backward likelihood logistic regression model showed that RPA was preferred in younger patients, having low ASA score (<= 3), in case of large bowel obstruction, absence of colonic ischemia, longer time from admission to surgery, operating early at the day working hours, by a surgeon who performed more than 50 colorectal resections. Conclusions: After 100 years since the first Hartmann's procedure, HP remains the most common treatment for left-sided colorectal emergencies. Treatment's choice depends on patient characteristics, the time of surgery and the experience of the surgeon. RPA should be considered as the gold standard for surgery, with HP being an exception
