Trust Perception and Information Use for Informational Website: Structural Equation Modelling Approach
Trust is described in various contexts, such as e-commerce, e-government, reviews, and online health information. Credibility and information quality are fundamental to building trust in those contexts. This study aimed to develop trust perception (TP) and information use (IU) indicators in an information evaluation context. Indicators were developed through three processes: searching, grouping, and construction. Relevant indicators were grouped based on similarities to construct statements, which were validated for face and content validity by three experts. The validated TP and IU were then tested using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS)-SEM. The data used for measurement obtained from 110 participants comprising 55 Indonesian academic librarians and 55 university students. Participants responded to indicator statements after evaluating information from four prepared informational websites. This study yielded five TP indicators and a single IU indicator, where TP significantly predicted IU. The five indicators described TP as make-sense information relevant to needs, provided by trusted authors and providers, and accompanied by accessible author information, provider information, and reference sources. IU was described as the information used for its credibility. The measurement demonstrated distinct participant behaviors. Differences in needs influenced assessments, while author and provider trustworthiness showed no bias toward participant type. Trust perception significantly predicted IU, with moderate model fit and varying predictive strengths across the websites. Tested as reliable, valid, and a significant predictor of IU, TP serves as a tool for examining factors that potentially influence trust in online information
Identifikasi Digital Literacy untuk mengukur kesiapan Jurnalisme Warga
Villages in Bantul are the essential subjects in implementing the Rural Information System (SID) of Bantul. Hence, the ability of using information and communication technology (ICT) is the main requirement. Citizen journalism using ICT is one of the must-have skilled to implement e-goverment in village level. In order to prepare them for using the SID, an assessment of digital literacy is conducted to measure their knowledge and skill in using ICT. The three essential skill for ICT citizen journalism are accessing WWW, using email services, and using word processing application. The 37 respondents from six villages which proposed to implement SID underwent the digital literacy assessment. The result stated that average 76.36% for WWW access skill, 64.39%for using email and 73% for word processing application, whereas passing score is 85%. Therefore, all average scores are below standard passing score. Based on the results, the recommendation is the enhancement of villagers' ICT skill is required and prioritized

GAYA KOMUNIKASI DAKWAH NING UMI LAILA PADA LIVE COMAL PEMALANG
Communication style is a way for a person to convey messages verbally and non-verbally in the hope that it will be conveyed well to the recipient of the message. In receiving da'wah messages, the communication style used by a da'i is considered important to attract the attention of the mad'u so that the da'wah message is well received by the mad'u. The problem in this study is how the communication style used by Ning Umi Laila in the live Comal Pemalang.
The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive, using Norton's communication style which will produce descriptive data that is emphasized as deeply as possible through the theory of the communication style.
The results of this study provide an answer to the problem that the author found several communication styles used by Ning Umi Laila in delivering her lectures. This is in line with the 10 communication styles according to Norton that are applied in the parts of Ning Umi Laila's lectures, namely friendly communication style, animated style, dominant style, dramatic style, open style, argumentative style, relaxed style, attentive style, precise style, and memorable leaving style. Furthermore, for the intonation used by Ning Umi Laila in delivering her lecture using these communication styles, namely dynamic intonation, tempo intonation, and high-pitch intonation in the context of cheerfulness
Polyhydroxyalkanoate production by a novel bacterium Massilia sp UMI-21 isolated from seaweed, and molecular cloning of its polyhydroxyalkanoate synthase gene
We successfully isolated one microorganism (UMI-21) from Ulva, a green algae that contains starch. The strain UMI-21 can produce polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) from starch, maltotriose, or maltose as a sole carbon source. Taxonomic studies and 16S rDNA sequence analysis revealed that strain UMI-21 was phylogenetically related to species of the genus Massilia. The PHA content under the cultivation condition using a 10-L jar fermentor was 45.5% (w/w). This value was higher than that obtained after cultivation in a flask, suggesting the possibility of large-scale PHA production by UMI-21 from starch. A major issue for the industrial production of microbial PHAs is the very high production cost. Starch is a relatively inexpensive substrate that is also found in abundant seaweeds such as Ulva. Therefore, the strain isolated in this study may be very useful for producing PHA from seaweeds containing polysaccharides such as starch. In addition, a 3.7-kbp DNA fragment containing the whole PHA synthase gene (phaC) was obtained from the strain UMI-21. The results of open reading frame (ORF) analysis suggested that the DNA fragment contained two ORFs, which were composed of 1740 (phaC) and 564 bp (phaR). The deduced amino acid sequence of PhaC from strain UMI-21 shared high similarity with PhaC from Ralstonia eutropha, which is a representative PHA-producing bacterium with a class I PHA synthase. This is the first report for the cloning of the PHA synthase gene from Massilia species
