Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textThe purpose of this study is to describe: (1) The moral values contained in the novel People with Disabilities Forbidden Schools by wiwid prasetyo. (2) Inspirational words contained in the novel Orang Disabled for Schools by wiwid prasetyo. In conducting this research the method I use is descriptive qualitative method. The main data source in this study comes from the novel Orang Cacat Disarang Sekolah by Wiwid Prasetyo. Data collection in this study uses library techniques with steps. Read and understand novels. Mark a quote. Invest. Clarifying Data. And finally the validity of the data is obtained through triangulation. Data analysis techniques use flow analysis techniques which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on research conducted, it was concluded that this novel depicts an optimistic attitude in living the life of a disabled child with a strong foundation of belief in religion and God's destiny. No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Seperti dalam kasus Hendra Saputra seorang office boy yang menjadi direktur PT. Imaji Media. Hendra Saputra dijadikan sebagai alat untuk melakukan tindak pidana korupsi. Meskipun keterlibatannya hanya menandatangani akta pendirian perusahaan, mengikuti proses pengadaan barang dan jasa serta menerima pembayaran atas perintah dari Riefan Avrian, hakim Pengadilan Tipikor menyatakan Hendra Saputra dinilai terbukti bersalah melakukan tindak pidana korupsi sesuai dakwaan jaksa yang menjuntokan Pasal 55 Ayat (1) ke-1 KUHP sebagai pihak yang turut serta dalam tindak pidana korupsi Videotron di Kementerian KUKM, sehingga timbul 2 (dua) permasalahan, yaitu: 1) Apakah perbuatan Hendra Saputra termasuk penyertaan dalam tindak pidana korupsi? 2) Mengapa hakim dalam putusannya menganggap Hendra Saputra sebagai pelaku tindak pidana korupsi? Metode yang digunakan yaitu normatif dengan didukung wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis bahwa perbuatan Hendra Saputra tidak termasuk penyertaan sebagaimana diatur Pasal 55 Ayat (1) KUHP karena tidak ada sama sekali unsur kerjasama (dilakukan bersama-sama) serta tidak ada niat kesengajaan untuk melakukan suatu perbuatan yang merugikan negara, dan juga tidak adanya pengetahuan mengenai akibat dari perbuatannya menandatangani dokumen-dokumen telah dipersiapkan sebelumnya oleh Riefan Avrian, ditambah lagi dengan adanya tekanan psikologis dari atasan tertinggi (Riefan Avrian) maupun atasan lainnya (Karyawan PT Rifuel). Dasar pertimbangan hakim dalam putusannya menganggap Hendra Saputra sebagai pelaku tindak pidana korupsi karena didasarkan atas dakwaan primair dan subsidair jaksa penuntut umum dan pertimbangan hakim yang menyatakan Hendra Saputra dianggap bersalah karena menandatangani sejumlah dokumen proyek videotron di Kementrian KUKM yang dilakukan secara sehat dan sadar serta tidak ada upaya menanyakan dan memprotes mengenai dokumen yang ditandatanganinya.
