Development of antenna-coupled metal-insulator-metal diodes for infrared detection
No full textThe long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) band between 7 and 14 µm is significant for thermal imaging purposes because it coincides with the blackbody radiation peak of the human body and a low absorption window in the earth’s atmosphere. Also, at 10 µm wavelength, the earth’s terrestrial radiation is maximized and provides a good opportunity for untapped energy harvesting. These two factors combine to make a very strong need for a low-cost detector that operates at room temperature in this band. Antenna-coupled metal-insulator-metal (ACMIM) diodes are a leading candidate due to their high speed and potential manufacturability on Si substrates. In this work, Ni-NiO-Ni ACMIM diodes are fabricated using a two-step lithography process and an oxygen plasma oxidation. Development of an optical nor gate transistor laser integrated circuit
No full textThe transistor laser combines the intrinsic switching property of a bipolar transistor and the coherent light output of a laser in a single device, making it uniquely suited for electro-optical integration. Furthermore, with the addition of waveguide structures, a transistor laser integrated circuit is well suited for monolithic logic processing using on-chip optical interconnects. Although there are still many challenges to overcome both on the device level and the integration level, a transistor laser integrated circuit can be an attractive alternative to conventional electrical integrated circuits based on complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The subject of this work is the design, process development, and fabrication of a transistor laser integrated circuit in the form of an optical NOR gate to demonstrate optical logic processing using the transistor laser. This work begins with a brief introduction to optical logic processing and why the transistor laser is ideal for this application. Details of the development of a high-speed GaAs photodiode are given to supplement the original transistor laser process with a vertically illuminated optical receiver. The development of the transistor laser optical NOR gate is described, including the design and operating principle as well as the two rounds of fabrication. The methods used to characterize the optical NOR gate are reported, followed by a discussion of the results. Inter Sport Marketing dengan PT. New Metro Hotel dalam Putusan Mahkamah Agung Nomor 518 K/PDT.SUS-HKI/201. Alasan pemilihan judul skripsi ini karena sepak bola adalah bidang olahraga yang paling populer didunia sehingga menjadikannya sumber komoditas bisnis yang menggiurkan, salah satunya adalah penayangan pertandingan langsung sepakbola. Dalam hal piala dunia 2014 yang memegang lisensi/hak siar untuk wilayah Republik Indonesia adalah PT.Inter Sport Marketing yang kemudian di sub-lisensikan kepada beberapa lembaga penyiaran swasta di indonesia. Dalam skripsi ini penulis mengangkat kasus antara PT.ISM dengan PT. New Metro Hotel Semarang karena diantara kasus serupa terkait piala dunia 2014 hanya kasus ini yang mendapatkan putusan kasasi yang berbeda sehingga penulis memutuskan untuk fokus menganalisa perkara tersebut melalui putusan kasasi Mahkamah Agung Nomor 518 K/PDT.SUS-HKI/201. Dari hasil analisa penulis menemukan fakta bahwa kasus mulai diperkarakan ke Pengadilan Niaga dan Mahkamah Agung pada saat yang berdekatan dengan setelah diundangkannya UUHC Nomor 28 Tahun 2014 tetapi dalam pertimbangannya hakim MA hanya menggunakan UUHC Nomor 19 Tahun 2002. Menurut klausul penutup dalam UUHC 2014 hal ini diperbolehkan hanya jika klausul atau pasal yang digunakan tidak bertentangan dengan UUHC yang lebih baru. Tetapi jika dibandingkan dengan aturan baru yang termuat dalam Pasal 25 ayat (3) UUHC 2014 menjadikan pertimbangan Hakim MA dalam putusan tersebut menjadi bertentangan. Kata Kunci: lisensi, hak siar, FIFA ABSTRACT The author raises the issue of the World Cup 2014 License of Broadcasting rights, especially the Juridical Review in the Case of between Inter Sport Marketing Inc. and New Metro Hotel Semarang Inc. in the Supreme Court Verdict Number 518 K / PDT.SUS-HKI / 201. The reason for choosing the title of this study is because football is the most popular sports field in the world that makes it a source of lucrative business commodities, one of which is the football live match tv broadcasting. This become possible because of license / broadcasting rights are owned by a broadcasting agency from a direct or indirect agreement with the soccer league organizer In this case, the World Cup 2014 licens /broadcasting rights holder for the territory of the Republic of Indonesia is Inter Sport Marketing Inc. which is then sub-licensed to several private broadcasting agencies in Indonesia. In this essay the authors raised the case between ISM Inc. and New Metro Hotel Semarang Inc. because amongst similar cases related to the 2014 world cup only this case that get a different cassation verdict, so the author decided to focus on analyzing the case through the Supreme Court cassation verdict No. 518 K / PDT.SUS-HKI / 201. From the analysis of the authors found the fact that the case was appointed to the Commercial Court and the Supreme Court at a time adjacent to the enactment of UUHC No. 28 of 2014 but in its judgment the Supreme Court just use UUHC Number 19 Year 2002. According to the closing clause in UUHC 2014 this allowed only if the clause used does not violate the newer UUHC. However, if compared to the new rules contained in Article 25 paragraph (3) UUHC 2014 make the judges of the Supreme Court\u27s judgment in the decision to be contradictory. Finding Waldo and whom he is talking to a rotational approach to find social interaction groups
No full textIn our daily life people encounter many social interactions, for example in the supermarket, at work and in schools. Currently the most reliable way to find social interactions in groups, is to manually annotate the data. Manual annotation takes a lot of time and human resources and as the information stream goes faster and faster, the manual labour cannot keep up. Therefore an automated program to replace this is desirable. One method to automate this, is by looking at the proximity of people, which has been done by Dikker [1]. The results look promising, however they are sensitive to errors. The F1-score (equation 3) is only 0.625 and the precision (equation 5) is 0.696. This means that there are still a lot of false positives. With orientation data one can determine if the people in question are facing each other before they are assigned to be in social interaction. With a view frustum (cone shape) it can be determined who are facing at each other by checking if the cones overlap. This cone can take different sizes, making the view area bigger or smaller. Because the absolute rotation were only used, it was used to find out who cannot face each other. Using the proximity results as a baseline, the impossible orientations were removed. With the goal to reduce the amount of false positives. From the results it can be concluded that a small cone will perform worse compared to the baseline. The bigger the angle of the cone becomes, the closer it gets to the results from Dikker [1]. Abstract
This study aims to examine the entrepreneurial perspective on the success of catfish farming in Lima Puluh Kota District and Payakumbuh City. The research method uses descriptive quantitative analysis using data processing with the SPSS application and as enrichment using qualitative variables with 80 quantitative respondents and 5 qualitative respondents. The results of this study indicate that product innovation has a negative effect, creativity has a positive effect, entrepreneurial orientation has a positive effect, location has a negative effect, and market orientation has a positive effect on the success of catfish farming in Lima Puluh Kota District and Payakumbuh City. The limitations of this study are the use of product innovation variables, creative ability, entrepreneurial orientation, location, market orientation, and business success, and the sample used is very limited. It is recommended for further research to use other variables that have not been studied and increase the sample or even examine other types of businesses that are relevant to this research.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji Perspektif wirausaha terhadap keberhasilan usaha budidaya lele yang ada di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dan Kota Payakumbuh. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pengolahan data dengan aplikasi SPSS dan sebagai pengayaan menggunakan variabel kualitatif dengan 80 responden kuantitatif dan 5 responden kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa inovasi produk berpengaruh negatif, kemampuan kreativitas berpengaruh positif, orientasi berwirausaha berpengaruh positif, lokasi berpengaruh negatif, dan orientasi pasar berpengaruh positif terhadap keberhasilan usaha budidaya lele di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dan Kota Payakumbuh. Keterbatasan pada penelitian ini menggunakan variabel inovasi produk kemampuan kreativitas, orientasi kewirausahaan, lokasi orientasi pasar dan keberhasilan usaha dan sampel yang digunakan sangat terbatas. Disarankan bagi penelitian selanjutnya menggunakan variabel lain yang belum diteliti dan memperbanyak sampel atau bahkan meneliti jenis usaha lain yang relevsn dengan penelitian ini.
