ПРОФЕСІЙНА ПІДГОТОВКА СПІВРОБІТНИКІВ ПОЛІЦІЇ В КРАЇНАХ ЄВРОПЕЙСЬКОГО СОЮЗУ: РОЛЬ МІЖНАРОДНИХ ОРГАНІЗАЦІЙ
Get PDFThe article summarizes the current experience of training police agencies personnel in EU countries conducted with the assistance of key international organizations (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, European Police College and International Law-enforcement Academy). The exchange program created by the CEPOL Agency has been considered, which allows to organize training and exchange of experience of cadets from different countries, including Ukraine. The analysis of joint police training programs developed by the mentioned international organizations revealed common features that need to be considered for the introduction to the national training programs of law enforcers of Ukraine: implementation of lifelong learning principles; recognition of previous learning and consideration of already acquired professional competencies for training of personnel of different categories; compliance with the principles of andragogy to facilitate the learning process; application of formative and summative assessment.According to modern training strategy of policemen in EU countries, cadets have to be encouraged to participate in the educational process through the use of active, professionally-oriented teaching methods, such as problem solving, group discussions, case studies. The recommended methods reflect the principles of adult learning and the concept of lifelong learning in order to use the experience already gained by cadets. Teachers are invited to adjust and expand methods in accordance with the principles of andragogy, the specifics of the target audience, using the opportunity to choose the most effective teaching methods. It is important that different pedagogical methods are used to ensure the learning process. They should contribute to the achievement of measurable learning outcomes based on certain minimum requirements to achieve necessary professional competencies to perform operational and service tasks of law enforcement agencies in the EU.Responsibility for the observance of fundamental human rights is one of the main elements of the professional competence of police officers in EU countries. Therefore, fundamental human rights must be implemented in all training programs. The training strategy of modern training programs is aimed at encouraging professional development as much as possible. This approach emphasizes respect for the cadet’s autonomy, experience and skills. In addition, it reflects the basic principles of the Bologna process. It is highlighted the importance of combining the content of learning with practice to develop the necessary professional competencies.The author analyzed the possibility of using this experience in order to implement it in the system of professional training of police personnel in Ukraine.У статті узагальнено сучасний досвід професійної підготовки співробітників поліції в країнах Європейського Союзу за сприяння ключових міжнародних організацій (Організація з безпеки і співробітництва в Європі, Європейський поліцейський коледж та Міжнародна правоохоронна академія). Розглянуто створену Агенцією CEPOL програму обміну, яка дозволяє організовувати підготовку та обмін досвідом курсантів з різних країн, у тому числі й України. Проведений аналіз спільних програм підготовки персоналу поліції, розроблених зазначеними міжнародними організаціями, виявив спільні риси, які потребують розгляду щодо впровадження у вітчизняні програми професійної підготовки персоналу правоохоронних органів України: імплементація принципів навчання впродовж усього життя; визнання попереднього навчання та врахування вже набутих професійних компетентностей для підготовки персоналу різних категорій; відповідність принципам андрагогіки для максимального полегшення процесу навчання; застосування формативного та сумативного оцінювання. Автором було проведено аналіз можливості використання цього досвіду з метою його впровадження в систему професійної підготовки персоналу поліції України

In particular, this is the development of scientific and methodological foundations of the system of professional Business English training of civil servants; the definition of pedagogical conditions of teaching foreign languages for future software engineers through multimedia programs; the representation of an integrated scheme of the classification of models of distance learning, with using its components the institution can create your own model regardless of its needs and opportunities; the implementation of scientific and pedagogical analysis of the problem of the use of foreign language mass media sources in the theory and practice of future journalists training; the presentation of the theory and technology of formation of professional foreign language competence of future Natural Sciences specialists; the coverage of theoretical and methodological problems of formation of professional foreign language competence of students in higher technical educational institutions in distance education; the exercise of professional foreign language training description of future specialists in information and communication technologies in technical universities; as well as the implementation of a comprehensive analysis of foreign language training of economics students in the context of globalization. The article justified the necessity of studying and modernization of the foreign language training of the Ukrainian experts in law taking into account the European experience.У статті подано стислий огляд наукових праць вітчизняних учених, присвячених стану дослідження іншомовної підготовки фахівців різних галузей в системі вищої освіти України в період з 2005-го по 2015-й рік. Це, зокрема, розробка науково-методологічних засад системи професійного навчання державних службовців ділової англійської мови; визначення педагогічних умов навчання іноземних мов майбутніх інженерів-програмістів засобами мультимедійних програм; представлення інтегрованої схеми класифікації моделей дистанційного навчання, з використанням компонентів якої навчальний заклад може створити власну модель залежно від його потреб і можливостей; здійснення науково-педагогічного аналізу проблеми застосування іншомовних масовокомунікаційних джерел у теорії та практиці навчання майбутніх журналістів; представлення теорії й технологій формування іншомовної професійної компетентності майбутніх фахівців природничих спеціальностей; висвітлення теоретичних та методичних проблем формування іншомовної професійної компетентності студентів вищих технічних навчальних закладів в умовах дистанційної освіти; здійснення опису професійної іншомовної підготовки майбутніх фахівців з інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій у технічних університетах; а також здійснення комплексного аналізу іншомовної підготовки студентів економічних спеціальностей в контексті глобалізації. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
