Rescue craft davit performance on an FPSO in heavy sea states & davit design proposal
The aim of this research is to increase the workability of a rescue craft launch and retrieval system on FPSOs in heavy sea states. Although a rescue craft’s purpose is to improve safety, multiple incidents recorded in the GISIS database have proven that the launch and recovery operation can be dangerous or even deadly. The problem research shows that the davit system is the main cause for incidents, which are related to design flaws, lack of maintenance and human errors, the three parameters for a successful launch. The opinion of the author is that a different type of launch and recovery system can lead to improvement of these three parameters and to an increased workability of the system. To compare a new design with the conventional design, a computational model of both designs is built in Matlab to simulate the launch of a rescue craft from an FPSO in various sea states. The conventional model shows dangerous accelerations in high sea states and the risk to collide with the hull of the FPSO. The concept design aims to reduce these motions and, in addition, provide a more redundant design with easy maintenance and focused on reducing human errors. After comparison, the concept design proves to reduce dangerous motions during launch and increase the workability in high sea states, while being very simplistic, robust and easy to operate. However, in the splash zone the concept model does not mitigate dangerous motions sufficiently. To further substantiate this conclusion, it is advised to further investigate the splash zone model and to develop a more detailed model of the concept design
MAIN CHARACTERISTIC OF DAVIT GURAMISHVILI MINDSET IN WORLDLITERATURE AND INTERCULTURAL CONTEXT
Davit Guramishvili heritage and his mindset demands its discussion
in the context of interculturalism. At the same time, we have to
consider the attitude with the traditional cultural heritages and at
the other hand with the Christian literary heritage and tradition for
the reasonthat it is based on the roots of middle age Georgian literary
in horizontal and vertical view, also on the symbols and use its
fictional examples. It has link with the paradigm structure of Biblical
world. In the late middle ages after the renaissance, it was linked with the processes developed according cultural direction, literary
directions. All of this took place and were based on the Cristian religion.
We have to pay attention to the special connection with the
folklore in Davit Guramihvili’s poetry. Author to emphasize his emotions
uses folk tradition. It is the most important aspect to his poetry
that he was very close not only to the Georgian folk materials but
also was using Ukrainian materials. He was using the mindset system
from folklore motifs and formal variation. It is not unusual to find
the pastoral symbols for the reason that the author developed such
a lyrical poetry on the based of folklore and the Bible. Those symbols
were used in “Happy Summer” well known with another name
“Thorny Shepherd”. Mindset system of Davit Guramishvili contains
paradigms form the epoch. What about the renaissance, Davit Guramishvili’s
heritage has renaissance feeling only on the base of religion
and it is connected to the spiritual raising theory. In his poetry
we equally met old and new epoch.
Research history is very rich and especially in context of the Bible,
but still the main aspects remain as gap and needs consideration.
In parallel of literary design he was free and dedicated author
to the own ideas, spiritual and intellectual possibilitiesand fictional
fantasy and with his poetic experience was making special system
of mindset. In our research work we make the base of intercultural
and allegoric understading of Davit Guramishvili’s heritage interpretation
One Pastoral Poem of Davit Guramishvili
“The Book Cheerful Summer” of Georgian Writer, which is created by the pastoral theme of Davit Guramishvili, which echoes The Russian Folklore. The poem is a small genre and carries bucolic-pastoral characteristics. The author of the poem echoes the revival period of European-Russian pastoral theme, in addition, he has a moral character – who is the shepherd boy- Katsvia, who is grown up with Christian values, denying the familiar and eccentric relationships. In The poem there are conflicts between two worlds - carnival Life and traditional values. The first of them is the shepherd girl, the second one is the shepherd boy – Katsvia. This poem is considered as a writer's testament is a didactic and moral. At the same time, the author refuses in his dominant epoch on “the three styles theory” and the folk, where he appeals the simple narrate, the verification is original, the narrate is interesting and it is featured by the lightness of folklore and feminine expressions
IS SALVATION POSSIBLE OUTSIDE THE CHURCH?
Exclusivism, inclusivism, and pluralism are three widely recognized theories in the field of the theology of religions, exploring different perspectives on truth and salvation across various religious beliefs. Discussions around these theories can lead to diverse conclusions. However, it is essential to bear in mind that the ultimate decision regarding the redemption or non-redemption of individuals rests solely within the jurisdiction of God. Human beings can only engage in speculative contemplation on this matter. These theories essentially emerge from human conjecture based on the teachings of Holy Scripture. Through careful analysis and deliberation of these theories, one can argue that the Church represents the authentic path guiding individuals towards salvation. Nevertheless, it is plausible that God may have numerous other ways and methods of granting salvation to individuals. Epoch Reality in Davit Turdospireli's Brief Fictional Narrative
Despite the strict canonical description for brief prose, Davit Turdospireli\u27s brief fictional narrative not only give us a glimpse into the spiritual world of the writer and share his subjective feelings, but also clearly present a number of contemporary epochal problems of the writer. Davit Turdospireli was involved in active social and political life from an early age, while still studying at the seminary, he edited the literary and journalistic magazine "Our flag" and the almanac "Pirveli Talva". Gendarmerie carefully followed the socio-political steps of the young writer. Davit Turdospireli\u27s miniature prose echoes in many ways the historical-political and cultural-social existence of Georgians at the beginning of the twentieth century. The historical and political events in the country pushed the writer to different ways of disguising what he had to say. In some cases, he tried to show the way to salvation for the country that had been disenfranchised, and in some cases, he created works with almost the same title and completely different content. The reason for the distress revealed in the miniature by covering it with "withered leaves" is undoubtedly caused by the contemporary presence of the writer. In the miniature dated 1916, "Love", seemingly a searcher of the philosophy of love, who has not heard anything about its annals since the beginning of the world, calls the reader to enjoy the charm of freedom and selfless struggle to break the shackles of slavery. The work on Davit Turdospireli\u27s autographs has revealed a number of nuances characteristic of the writer\u27s creative process. What is especially characteristic of his manuscripts, which are mostly black autographs and clearly show the writer\u27s creative work process, are signed and undated by the author. We think that the writer deliberately did not date his manuscripts. As we have already mentioned, despite the fact that he tried to convey his message to the readers by various means, the undated manuscripts was probably one of the ways to protect free thought. Davit Turdospireli\u27s miniatures, despite the persecution and harassment of free thought, interestingly reveal writer’s attitude to the historical and political existence of the country, at the same time, they also draw crystal paths for a better life of the country.
Character Drawing Techniques in Davit Kldiashvili’s Literary Works
All of David Kldiashvili’s characters are decorated with individual
features. The question arises: What makes same so individual? What is
the writer’s technique of drawing characters and what determines their
different literary image? Analysis of Kldiashvili’s short stories shows
that at first the author describes a character by author’s discussion and
then by their way of speech. Speech, phrases give him the peculiarity,
which other characters lack. The most famous story by Davit Kldiashvili
is Samanishvili’s Stepmother. Author starts the story by describing Bekina
Samanishvili: “Bekina Samanishvili, of course, was a poor noble, quite
poor even…” This is followed by the description of Bekina’s property and
his attitude towards his situation – “Bekina believed himself to be rich
and there was no man on earth who could make Bekina to admit his
poverty.” This attitude is by the author’s assessment, expressed in the
words of others: “As they say in Imereti region, Bekina was always “dressed
up.” (Kldiashvili 1988 : 94). Along with the author’s words, Kldiashvili’s
character is also well described by his own style of speech. About his
daughter-in-law
giving birth often, the old man smilingly says: “Woman,
in some cases, being good in something is not beneficiary, it is harmful
even…” While commenting to his son that his decision to marry will not harm the family, Bekina says: “My good man, why would it kill you if I bring
some old woman here?... How can you be afraid of an old woman, you,
poor man?! (Kldiashvili 1988 : 97). With these words Bekina neutralizes
his serious decision and makes the expected severity of this decision
for his son seem easier. When Bekina learns about his son’s intension
to choose the twice widowed, childless woman for his father, he asks a
humorous question: “If that cursed woman makes me to follow those two
previous, what will you do then? Ha? Ah, ah, ah!” When Platon borrows
peasant Pavlia Gomiashvili’s old horse to travel, Bekina ironically asks:
“Who did he get this stallion from, Melano, my dear?” and adds: “It might
fall down on the way, woman!” Irony and lightness characterizes Bekina’s
narrative. Even when the tragedy happens, Bekina does not refrain from
recognizing his mistake and attempts to neutralize the complexity of his
child’s situation: “I wish I would have died… Wish I would have been eaten
by the grave like Marika and never seen this day!” This phrase is full of
grief and completes the character’s image.
As an example, we have discussed Bekina’s literary image from
Kldiashvili’s works. In general, observation of his characters by Davit
Kldiashvili has shown to us that the writer repeats the given scheme
of describing characters almost everywhere – author’s description is
replaced by the character’s action, author’s assessment of that action and
character’s dialogue with other character, which even sharper reveals his
image – nature and mood

Studi Kasus Tegangan Riser Saat Proses Upending Dengan Bantuan Sling Pada Davit Lift

The need for oil and gas increases every year so that the process of drilling and transportation of oil and gas must be accelerated. The most effective and optimal mode of oil and gas transportation is the submarine pipeline. The riser is an important part of the transportation process, because it acts as a connecting pipe between above-water facilities and subsea pipelines. The most important process in using a riser or subsea pipe is the installation process, because during installation the pipe will experience an increase in stress. In this final project the author will conduct a case study of the riser stress during the upending process (rotation of the riser from a horizontal position to a vertical position) with variations in normal sling conditions on the davit lift and the condition of several (two of three) slings stopping, it could be due to operator error or machine error. and input the environmental load in the form of waves and currents from the direction of 0°, 45°, 90°, and 135°. The code used to validate the riser voltage is ASME B31.4 (2019) and the code for the riser installation process is DNVGL-ST-N001 (2016). The software used for simulation for 800 seconds, modeling and knowing the riser voltage when upending are Microsoft Excel, MOSES, and Orca Flex. The voltage used is the maximum von misses stress, the stress under normal conditions is 168,353 MPa or 37,412% SMYS riser and Unity Check (UC) is 0.416 with an environmental load of 90°. Meanwhile, when the condition of several (two of three) slings stops at the 300th to 400th seconds, the stress is 216,166 MPa or 48,037% SMYS riser and Unity Check (UC) is 0.534 with environmental load from 90°. Stopping the sling causes an increase in the voltage on the riser, but the riser when upending is still relatively safe because the Unity Check (UC) value is still below 1 (one)
Enterprise-level analysis on awareness, practices and barriers of circular economy in the fruit processing sector: in Armenia
The current production model in the agri-food industry is not environmentally conscious and as a result, we face the challenges of extensive and inefficient resource use along with a massive amount of waste. The major objective of this study is to analyze the awareness, practices, and corresponding barriers among the selected enterprises on the circular economy. Both quantitative and qualitative research methods have been used in this study. A survey-based questionnaire has been designed by the author and 40 companies operating in the fruit pro-cessing sector (dry fruit and jams production) have been asked to fill in the survey. The results show that although 80% of the respondents are aware of the circular economy, the practices are not intensively implemented and the barriers associated are very diverse including financial burdens such as access to agricultural credits, lack of practical knowledge, and the necessary infrastructure as well as small production volumes, which doesn’t promote innovation and alternative production in the enterprises
