Pengaruh Metode Eksperimen Terhadap Hasil Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Siswa Kelas V SD Inpres Maroanging Gowa
The Effect of Experimental Methods on Science Learning Outcomes of Grade V Students at SD Inpres Maroanging Gowa. Thesis. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. Advisor I Nasrah and advisor II Nurul Magfirah. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Experimental Method on Science Learning Outcomes of Class V SD Inpres Maroanging Gowa. This research is a type of pre-experimental research with a research design using one group pretest-posttest design through a quantitative approach. This design made two measurements, the first (pretest) and the second measurement (posttest). The sample in this study was class V SD Inpres Maroanging Gowa, as many as 28 students. The results showed that the average student pretest result was 51.07 in the low category, then the experimental method was applied to the learning process so that the posttest results of students achieved an average score of 76.25 in the medium category. The N-Gain analysis shows that the average normalized gain is 0.54 in the medium category. Based on the hypothesis test using the paired samples test, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. This means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an effect of the use of the experimental method on science learning outcomes in fifth grade students at SD Inpres Maroanging Gowa on heat transfer material
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Tawarruq in personal financing: theory and practice / Zainor Nasrah Abdul Rahman
Islamic personal financing is offered to cater to the needs of personal financing that complies with Shariah. Beginning with the concept of Bay al-Inah, its application has undergone several strong critiques that have prompted the introduction of Tawarruq. Even though this concept is more preferable than Bay al-Inah, its implementation by industry players has attracted the serious concerns of Shariah scholars in terms of its arrangement. If the arrangement is executed improperly, the contract may be rendered invalid, thus resulting in that it will not comply with Shariah. Hence, this study intends to examine the practice of the Tawarruq arrangement based on the practitioners’ perspective. Also, this study aims to assess whether the current practice of the Tawarruq arrangement has been able to comply with the classical and contemporary Shariah rulings, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)’s guidelines and requirements; and the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI)
Shariah Standards. Questionnaires were distributed to the officers of the Malaysian Islamic banks who dealt directly with their customers as well as those of the operations side. The findings have suggested that the Islamic banks have executed the concept in accordance with the requirements stipulated by BNM in the Shariah resolution. However, in discussing the findings in the light of the AAOIFI Shariah Standards, this study have found that there were elements contradicting the standard particularly in appointing an agent for selling back the commodity to the market. In addition, discussion on the findings based on the classical and contemporary Shariah scholars, the arrangement of Tawarruq in the current practice has found the evidences of the Tawarruq Munazzam in its arrangement. Therefore, BNM as the authoritative body should initiate towards a stricter practice while harmonising the practice within the industry players
Factors influencing citizens' intention to participate in e-participation in Malaysia / Nasrah Hassan Basri
E-participation is a subset of e-government that focuses on citizen participation in promoting a more transparent and inclusive society. The advantages that society cangain from citizens participating in e-participation initiatives are extensively acknowledged in the literature. Understanding the influencing factors in e-participation adoption is crucial for developing programs that promote citizen participation. However, present research on the drivers of e-participation adoption in Malaysia is still lacking. This study attempts to identify influencing factors of citizens' intention to participate in e-participation by employing the theory of UTAUT, trust and affect. This study aims, first, to identify the factors that influence the citizens' intention to participate in e-participation. Second, to examine the significant relationship of each factor with the behavioural intention and finally, to examine the roles of citizens' age and gender as moderating effect on this relationship. This research adopted the mixed method with semi-structured interview as the qualitative approach and survey-based quantitative approach. Respondents in this thesis are Malaysian aged 21 years involving12 participants in the qualitative study and 418 respondents in the quantitative study. Thematic analysis and PLS-SEM were used for the data analysis in this study. The findings revealed that out of eight independent variables (Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Trust in Government, Trust in Internet Technology, Positive Affect and Negative Affect), however, only Trust in Internet Technology, Performance Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Social Influence and Positive Affect were identified to be significant. Furthermore, age and gender have no moderation effect towards the relationship. The research contributed to the body of knowledge by merging the concepts of the UTAUT, trust and affect model in e-participation services. Practically, the findings of this study help stakeholders and decision-makers to strategically design plans and programs to accelerate the e-participation services in Malaysia. This study, similar to other empirical studies, has several limitations including non-Internet users, employing only cross-sectional survey and focusing merely on predictive intention in Malaysia context. To address these limitations, the future research will involves surveying a larger sample population, conducting a longitudinal survey and lastly testing the model in different scope and context to validate the generalizability of the model

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
