Market research in fast food restaurant sector
This is a research based thesis which focuses on market research in fast food restaurants. The main purpose of this research is to understand customer’s expectations in terms of services, menu items, and related ethical aspects. Another objective of this thesis is to evaluate the challenges for a startup restaurant based on market analysis of existing fast food market in capital region of Finland.
The detailed study of different market research methods was performed to develop the market research methodology suitable for the fast food restaurant business. After thoroughly studying different market research methods, the research was divided into two levels: micro and macro. The micro level market research focused on the factors which can be controlled by the entrepreneur, while the macro level market research focused on the factors which cannot be controlled by the entrepreneur.
For micro level market research, qualitative research approach was used to understand the factors which can help to attract the customers in fast food business. The non-participant observation method was employed to rate and record customer satisfaction for this purpose. This observation was performed in international fast food chain located in capital region of Finland. For macro level market research, quantitative and qualitative research approaches were used to understand the challenges for a startup restaurant. The PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces analysis tools were used in this case.
Market research results are quite encouraging for restaurant business in Finland during the past few years. The analysis of these results confirms that opening a fast food restaurant in the capital of Finland has good chance of success. The author recommends to include hamburgers in the menu and allow the customers to see the preparation process and customize the ingredients according personal choices
"Maṣrūf Aurat" by Khalida Hussain (1937-2019)

Khalida Hussain (1937–2019) was born in Lahore and started her literary career by publishing short stories in the journal Adab-e Latīf during the 1960s. She took a break from writing for more than a decade after her marriage. She remerged again on the literary scene in 1981 with the publication of her short story collection, Paḥchān, followed by five more short story collections and a novel. Hussain is known for introducing a new trend on the Urdu literary horizon as she experimented with the idea of abstract and non-inear narratives. She was very skillful in her craft, using a technique, John Gardner calls 'the psychic lens'. Every now and then she would draw the reader in to her thoughts then zoom out and offer a more aerial view of the plot. Her technique differed from stream-of consciousness, which her contemporaries employed, as she was careful not to isolate the reader into the confines of her mind. She was also one of the few writers who despite living in intolerant times under dictatorship, was not afraid to draw on Hindu mythology or Sufi traditions as she explored spirituality in her writings, particularly the concept of wujūd through existentialism. Hussain's narratives serve as a source of inspiration for challenging societal norms and advocating for positive change, making her work profoundly relevant in today's world. Her compact yet dazzling body of work endures as a clarion call to raising feminist consciousness, destined to inspire generations in the quest for equality and freedom. She wasn't just an author; she was a humanist icon, her stories, a powerful voice for change.

Title: “Factors affecting consumers green purchase intention towards ecological products: ICA supermarket in Sweden”. Level: Master degree thesis in Business AdministrationAuthor: Khalida Akter Supervisor: Zahra AhmadiExaminer: Maria Fregidou-Malama Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate how consumer trust, eco-branding and green marketing strategy influence consumer purchase intention towards ecological products. Method: The qualitative method and inductive approach have been used for this research. The primary data have been collected through face to face interview and the secondary data have been used through scientific journals and the internet. Findings: The results show the important factors that can promote green marketing towards ecological products are; consumer trust, green trust, eco-label trust, eco-branding, green pricing, green advertising, green design and green promotion have a strong relation with each other. The study also shows that consumer purchase intention can be increased by giving sufficient information regarding ecological products, by increasing awareness, credibility, by reducing the perceived risk of the products, brand uniqueness, by advertising the products through the company magazines, billboards and posters outside of the supermarket, by raising awareness of customer health. Suggestions for future research: This study helps to understand how to promote green marketing for ecological products. For further study, the author suggests to investigate if there is a relationship between green marketing, consumer trust, eco-branding as well as a green marketing strategy. The future study will help to research on green marketing for ecological products. Contribution: This study has identified elements to promote green marketing and factors that can help to increase consumers purchase intention. Presenteeism as a Consequence of Workplace Bullying: Mediating Role of Emotional Exhaustion and Moderation of Climate for Conflict Management
This study probes the link between workplace bullying, emotional exhaustion and presenteeism in employees of public and private sector service organizations. Based on affective events theory, this study found that emotional exhaustion mediates the relationship between bullying and employee presenteeism. However, the climate for conflict management (CCM) was found to moderate the aforementioned relationship. Data taken from 2250 employees working in health, education and forest departments support the assumptions that workplace bullying and presenteeism are partially mediated by individual’s perceived emotional exhaustion and that the CCM moderates this mediated association. This mediated moderation model suggests that workplace bullying emotionally exhausts employees, who despite being present at workplace cannot perform to their full potential. On the other hand, organizations that are active in conflict management practices may be able to prevent and reduce the adverse effects of workplace bullying
Personality traits an antecedent or consequences of workplace bullying
This study investigates whether Big Five personality traits are antecedents or consequences of bullying. A two-panel study designed in which panel one T1 data collected in one attempt and after a year panel, two T2 time data collected in the second attempt. Existing research on bullying found that individuals exposed to bullying experience an increase in conscientiousness and neuroticism and a decrease in agreeableness. It is claimed that the personality of the victim contributes to the bullying escalation process. There is still research scarcity whether personality is the cause of bullying or bullying results in personality change and another gap found in previous research was the lack of longitudinal research intended in shaping the individual antecedents or the impact of workplace bullying. By bridging these gaps, our study with simple random sampling collected data from university employees (N = 725). Manova test with repeated measures and structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis in AMOS was then used to examine and parallel many competing models to govern data fitness. Results found that experience of bullying in the first interval T1 leads to reduce in agreeableness and an increase in neuroticism in second interval T2. Managerial implication is also discussed

Biosorption potentials of acid modified Saccharum bengalense for removal of methyl violet from aqueous solutions
In the present work, Saccharum bengalense (SB) was treated with sulfuric acid to enhance its efficiency. Methyl violet (MV), a cationic dye, was removed from aqueous medium using acid modified S. bengalense (A-SB). Different parameters like adsorbent dosage, stirring speed, temperature, contact time and effect of initial concentration of dye on rate of adsorption of dye from aqueous medium was studied. Experimental data obtained from adsorption of MV was analyzed by applying pseudo first order, pseudo second order and intra-particle diffusion models and it was found that the data best follows the pseudosecond order kinetics. Thermodynamic parameters indicate that adsorption reaction was spontaneous, feasible and endothermic in nature. Different adsorption isotherm models, like Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) and Temkin, were used to study the mechanism of adsorption process and experimental data was well fitted by the Langmuir adsorption isotherm
