The herein enclosed dissertation aims to describe the textual production of some teenagers attending a Sr. High School in the urban area. We departed from questioning the pedagogical discourse of the subject, Literature, in that the usual study of literary works is embased upon a single interpretation, which is presented correct as a given, all the while those viewpoint differences inherent to human character and particularly those peculiar to the students are ignored. The present research is grounded upon the Michel Pêcheux’s Discourse Analysis theoretical-methodological referential, in which the subject and his/her meanings are projected upon the speech. The promotion of meaning production among the students, highlighting their reading of literary works and their consequent textual production is also seeked. The focusing upon Sixteenth Century, Arcadian and Romantic texts has prodded the young people into a "interpretative gesture" plurality, which has affected their writing style and also produced meaning effects connected to their individual life experiences. It is proposed that the sort of discourse to which a young person affiliates him/herself and apprehends into his/her way of writing will represent their feeling of being within the world and participating of same. Analysis allowed us to show into the students’ textual production the crisscrossing of the several discourse viewpoints which are inserted into the school itself, where an embryo of a new pedagogical perception is being created, no longer pertinent only to the sheer knowledge replication as the embasement for its practices and which seems to suggest the existence of a space in which the pupil is estimulated to manifest his/her feelings and discursive placements that will lead into making patent their own authorship

Carbon and strontium isotope stratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Campanian) shallow-water carbonates of southern Italy: Chronostratigraphic calibration of larger foraminifera biostratigraphy
Shallow-water carbonates are invaluable archives of past global change. They hold the record of how neritic biologic communities reacted to palaeoenvironmental changes. However, attempts to decipher these geological archives are often severely hampered by the low stratigraphic resolution attained by biostratigraphy. This is particularly the case for the Upper Cretaceous carbonate platforms of the central Tethyan realm: their biostratigraphy suffers from very low resolution and poor correlation with the standard biochronologic scales based on ammonites, planktic foraminifers and calcareous nannoplankton.
In this paper we show how this problem can be tackled by integrating biostratigraphy with isotope stratigraphy. We present a detailed record of the benthic foraminiferal biostratigraphy and carbon and strontium isotope stratigraphy of three upper Cenomanian-middle Campanian sections belonging to the Apennine Carbonate Platform of southern Italy. For the upper Cenomanian-Turonian interval, the carbon isotope curves of the studied sections are easily correlated to the reference curve of the English Chalk. The correlation is facilitated by the matching of the prominent positive excursion corresponding to the Oceanic Anoxic Event 2. For the Coniacian-middle Campanian interval, the correlation is mainly based on strontium isotope stratigraphy. We use the 87Sr/86Sr ratios of the low-Mg calcite of well preserved rudist shells to obtain accurate chronostratigraphic ages for many levels of the three studied sections. The ages obtained by Sr isotope stratigraphy are then used to better constrain the matching of the carbon isotope curves.
From the high-resolution chronostratigraphic age-model stablished by isotope stratigraphy, we derive the chronostratigraphic calibration of benthic foraminiferal biostratigraphic events. For the first time the benthic foraminiferal biozones of the Apennine Carbonate Platform can be accurately correlated to the standard ammonite biozonation. This result is of great relevance because the biostratigraphic schemes of other carbonate platforms in the central and southern Tethyan realm are largely based on the same biostratigraphic events
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Stratigraphic setting of a segment from the Eastern margin of the Apennine platform (Monte di Viggiano, Southern Apennines)
In this study the carbonate succession of the Monte di Viggiano, situated about 30km South of Potenza (Southern Italy), has been investigated in detail for the first time. Three sections have been selected and a high resolution sampling was carried out. Integrated fabric and facies analyses supplemented with biostratigraphic observations have been used to evaluate the depositional environments and ages of the investigated deposits. Palaeontological assessment indicate a deposition within a subtropical inner shallow platform environment. This allow us to associate the limestones to the tectonic unit of Alburno-Cervati that represent the internal realm of the Apennine platform. Palaeontologic analyses give us a Late Liassic age for the lowermost section. The other two profiles show shallow-water limestones evolving from the Valanginian to the Early Cenomanian. This sedimentary record is, however, affected by frequent episodes of breccia sedimentation. At least four brecciation processes could be distinguished throughout this time span. The breccias originated probably from periodic emersion of some parts of the platform due to relative sea-level changes and were deposited in the close vicinity to where they were generated. Miocene quartzarenites have been found for the first time on the Monte di Viggiano, unconformably lying over the Mesozoic deposits

Configurable Markov Decision Processes
In many real-world problems, there is the possibility to configure, to a limited extent, some environmental parameters to improve the performance of a learning agent. In this paper, we propose a novel framework, Configurable Markov Decision Processes (Conf-MDPs), to model this new type of interaction with the environment. Furthermore, we provide a new learning algorithm, Safe Policy-Model Iteration (SPMI), to jointly and adaptively optimize the policy and the environment configuration. After having introduced our approach and derived some theoretical results, we present the experimental evaluation in two explicative problems to show the benefits of the environment configurability on the performance of the learned policy
