    Internalization of Surau Education Values is one of the efforts that can be done for preventing radicalism in West Sumatra.West Sumatra is a province that has famous people who have moderate, open minded and tolerant diversity.Therefore, this study aims to explore the Surau education values in the perspective of religious leaders, customs and Minangkabau intellectual.This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and study documentationThe results of this study reveal that the values of Surau education values which are usually internalized to students consist of the following four categories : First, the value of the heart consists of pure tauhid to Allah SWT, honest, true and sincere worship and responsible; Second, the value of feeling consist of continuity, wise communication, mutual love and respect for all elements of society, egalitarian and good at adjusting wherever they are. Third, the value of thought consists of critical, intelligent, creative, innovative, visionary, and open-minded;Fourth, the value of sports consists of strong, tough, disciplined, independent, capable and brave in defending themselves and defending the truth.The values of the surau education above can be internalized in the education of families, schools and communities with approaches that need to be contextualized in accordance with the current development for preventing radicalism in West Sumatra

    Penelitian ini berjudul Integrasi Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Surau dalam Transformasi Kewarganegaraan untuk Mengembangkan Karakter Siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis integrasi nilai-nilai pendidikan surau dalam transformasi kewarganegaraan untuk mengembangkan karakter siswa dilihat dalam pembelajaran PKn, muatan lokal mentoring dan budaya sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari tokoh agama, tokoh adat dan cendikiawan Minangkabau, kepala sekolah, wakil kurikulum, guru PKn, kepala pengasuhan, pembina asrama (musyrif), mentor, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa (1) Nilai-nilai karakter yang dikembangkan dalam pendidikan surau yang terdiri  dari 21 nilai yang didukung oleh ungkapan pepatah-petitih Minangkabau; (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan surau telah terintegrasi dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran PKn; (3) Nilai-nilai pendidikan surau telah diintegrasikan dalam muatan lokal mentoring; (4) Integrasi nilai-nilai pendidikan surau dalam budaya sekolah tergambar dari kegiatan rutin sholat berjamaah disertai kultum setelah sholat, lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif serta keteladanan dari guru dan karyawan sekolah; (5) Kendala dalam pengintegrasian nilai-nilai pendidikan surau ialah perbedaan pola asuh siswa di rumah dengan pola asuh di sekolah dan pergantian guru dan pembina asrama dan upaya untuk menanggulangi itu dengan membangun kejasama yang baik dengan orang tua dan merekrut guru baru yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, kepada pihak-pihak terkait, khususnya kepada guru, musyrif dan mentor agar senantiasa mengoptimalkan kemampuannya dalam mendidik dan membina siswa agar dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa menjadi smart and good citizens serta pada peneliti berikutnya agar meneliti pelaksanaan nilai-nilai pendidikan surau pada Badan Eksekutif Siswa Ar-Risalah.     PERSEPSI MAHASISWA PPKn FIS UNP TERHADAP KOMPETENS GURU PPKn

    :Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Persepsi  mahasiswa PPKn terhadap kompetensi peadagogik guru PPKn. (2)  Persepsi mahasiswa PPKn  terhadap kompetensi kepribadian guru PPKn. (3) Persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap kompetensi sosial guru PPKn. (4) Persepsi mahasiswa PPKn  terhadap kompetensi professional guru PPKn. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh Mahasiswa PPKn yang telah melaksanakan PPLK-K pada Semester Januari- Juni tahun 2011 berjumlah101 orang. Sampel berjumlah 51 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik sampling proporsional stratified random sampling. Data yang diperoleh, dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus persentase.Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru PPKn masuk adalah baik 25,6%, cukup 43% dan kurang 31,4%.(2)persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap kompetensi kepribadian guru PPKn masuk dalam kategori baik yaitu  29,4%, cukup 31,3% dan kurang 39,3%.(3)persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap kompetensi sosial guru PPKn adalah baik 39,3%, cukup 31,4% dan kurang 29,3%.(4) Persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap kompetensi professional guru PPKn adalah baik 27,5%, cukup35,3% dan kurang 37,2%

    Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Keterampilan Umum Mahasiswa Berbasis Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SN-DIKTI)

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen penilaian keterampilan umum mahasiswa berbasis Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SN-DIKTI). Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu : (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, (4) penyebaran. Responden penelitian ini adalah dosen STKIP Adzkia pada program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) dan Pendidikan Fisika. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket, lembar wawancara, lembaran uji validitas, lembaran uji praktikalitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh  nilai validitas instrumen adalah 90,5 dengan kategori sangat valid.  Selanjutnya, berdasarkan data respon teman sejawat dan mahasiswa terhadap instrumen penilaian keterampilan umum mahasiswa diperoleh nilai 91 dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instumen penilaian keterampilan umum mahasiswa berbasis Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SN-DIKTI) yang dikembangkan telah mencapai kriteria valid dan praktis.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Analysis of StudentÔÇÖs Writing Which Reflect Ghost Stories in Indonesian Horror Film

    Horror films circulating in Indonesia today can be watched by anyone from various social media, including underage elementary school students. As a result of watching this horror film, students often fantasize and imagine everything must be scary and scary. Even students will also write stories about that scary thing in the assignment given by the teacher. This study aims to analyze writings made by elementary school students that reflect horror stories in Indonesian horror films. The subjects of the study were 31 students of SD 05 Nagrek with works containing ghost stories whose contents were almost the same as ghost stories in Indonesian horror films. Research is descriptive qualitative research with observation, interview, documentation methods. The data analysis technique used is the theory of Miles and Huberman which is carried out by means of (1) Data reduction (2) Data presentation (3) Conclusion drawing and verification. Checking the validity of data is carried out by extending observations and triangulation. The triangulation used in this study is source triangulation which is done by checking data that has been obtained through several sources. The results showed that (1) half of the 31 students wrote stories with content that was almost similar to ghost stories filmed in Indonesia. (2) Students get ideas in writing ghost stories from watching themselves, told by friends and just imagining.┬á┬

    MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LITERASI PADA MATAKULIAH PPKn SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN KARAKTER GEMAR MEMBACA MAHASISWA

    ABSTRAKMasih lemahnya karakter gemar membaca mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan minimnya referensi mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan, sedikit sekali yang meminjam buku di perpustakaan dan mahasiswa lebih memilih bermain media sosial daripada membaca ebook atau artikel. Padahal, Pendidikan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pengembangan pengetahuan, pendidikan mestinya juga meningkatkan budi pekerti (karakter), salah satunya karakter gemar membaca.  Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini ditawarkan model pembelajaran literasi untuk penguatan karakter gemar membaca mahasiswa. Dilihat dari hasil hipotesis angka probabilitas Asmyp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.001 atau probabilitas di bawah alpha (0.000 < 0.05), dengan perbedaan rerata skor pretest dan posttest sebesar 8.611, H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak yang berarti terdapat peningkatan karakter gemar membaca mahasiswa UIN Bukittinggi setelah diberikan model pembelajaran literasi. ABSTRACTThe weak character of reading for students in tertiary institutions, this is indicated by the lack of student references in lectures, very few borrow books from the library and students prefer to use social media instead of reading ebooks or articles. In fact, education does not only function as the development of knowledge, education should also improve character (character), one of which is the character of liking to read. For this reason, this research offers a literacy learning model to strengthen students' fond of reading character. Judging from the results of the hypothesis probability number Asmyp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.001 or probability below alpha (0.000 <0.05), with a difference in the mean pretest and posttest scores of 8.611, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected which means there is an increase in the reading character of UIN Bukittinggi students after being given a literacy learning model
