Murtiningrum F. 2020. Empowerment and Planning Of Agricultural Area. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Community empowerment is very often discussed in almost all agricultural development activities, but it is a question mark whether community empowerment is really carried out in the process of planning agricultural areas in the context of agricultural development. There is very little data that shows that community empowerment is carried out in the agricultural area planning process. For this reason, this study aims to examine concepts related to empowerment and agricultural area planning. This research is based on a review of the philosophy or concept of empowerment, regional planning in research journals, literature books, national reports, regional and international organizations, thesis, seminar proceedings and others. The main theories used are the concept of empowerment, planning, development, and the area. Based on the results of the analysis of the study, it shows that empowerment plays an important role in the area planning process, so that the planning that has been compiled by the Government is to achieve its goals and can be carried out according to the expected objectives. The active role of the community is important to be involved in every stage of area planning so that at the time of the implementation of the planning results it can be carried out properly and on target

Murtiningrum et al, 2019. An Analysis of Farming and its Factors Toward Gerga Orange Farming Revenue at Rimbo Pengadang Village, Rimbo Pengadang District, Lebong Regency. pp. 338-346. In Bengkulu Province, especially at Lebong Regency is one of the regions which has various potentials that support the national economy, both agriculture, plantation, fisheries, livestock and forestry potential. In agriculture, it is an area that suitable for developing various types of horticultural crops such as gerga oranges, because it is supported by loose and fertile soil conditions and also supported by altitudes ranging from 800-1000 masl. One of the gerga oranges producing areas in Lebong Regency is Rimbo Pengadang Village, Rimbo Pengadang District. Gerga oranges cultivation run by farmers is in accordance with the existing production factors, with the hope that they will get a profitable revenue for their families. This study aimed to determine the revenue of oranges farming in Rimbo Pengadang Village, to determine the effect of land area, age, education, and number of family dependents on oranges farming revenue in Rimbo Pengadang Village and to know the development of gerga culture in Rimbo Pengadang Village in the last 5 years. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis tool used PD = TR - TC, where: Pd = Agricultural revenue (Rp / Ut). TR = Total revenue (Rp / Ut) and TC = Total cost (Rp / Ut). The method used to determine the efficiency of sawn oranges farming used in the formula: R / C Ratio. To examine the factors that influence agricultural revenue, multiple linear analysis was used, with the following formula: From the results of the study, it is known that the average revenue of the orange saw farming business is Rp. 59.759.158,52  per year / UT. With an average revenue of Rp. 80.425.000 per year / UT. For Gerga oranges farming activities, the average cost is Rp. 20.665.841,48 per year / UT. And it found that of the 4 independent variables tested, the land area has a significant effect on revenue with t table> t count, amounting to 2,394. Meanwhile, if the F test carried out together, then the fcount <ftabel was obtained, then Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected. Means together with independent veriabel there was no significant effect on the dependent variable in the revenue case

In Bengkulu Province, the area of coffee plantations reached 124,510 hectares spread in several districts with production reaching 60,790.08 tons per year (BPS, 2018). Most coffee production (Coffea Spp) is produced by smallholder farmers. Nearly a quarter of the coffee production was produced by Rejang Lebong Regency, namely: 13,459 tons with a total plantation area of 27,828.12 hectares of coffee plantations. Constraints in the development of coffee are in the case of coffee marketing channels that have not been maximized by farmers, transportation due to the topography of the area and the location of the factory that is far away, low marketing production, quality of coffee (quality ), and capital that influences the selling price of the coffee. This situation is certainly inseparable from the influence of the factors of the coffee industry production itself, namely in the form of capital, raw materials, labor, transportation, marketing and income of business owners that also affect the income of workers. For this reason, researchers are interested in researching the marketing channels of Coffee in Rejang Regency. Lebong, and analyze the efficiency of the Coffee marketing channel in Rejang Lebong Regency. From the results of the study, it was found that the coffee marketing channel occurred in Rejang Lebong Regency had 5 types of marketing channels. Marketing margins and the biggest profits are obtained by large traders

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
