Value relevance of accounting numbers for valuation / Muliati Aba Ibrahim
Recent empirical work suggested that the ability of accounting numbers to explain the relationship between accounting numbers and stock prices over the past four decade [Collins, Maydew and Weiss [1997]; Francis and Schipper [1999]; and Lev and Zarowin [1999]] has deteriorated. This provide the key motivation for this study to examine the relationship between accounting numbers and stock price in the Malaysian emerging capital market which is useful for firm valuation. The findings of this study suggest that the accounting earnings and book value are capturing most of the information that is relevant to assess the values of firms and at the same time, it also suggests a decline in their value relevance after the financial crisis period. The results also suggest that accounting earnings and book value as well as non-accounting beta are more valued during the financial crisis period as compared to the after-effect of the financial crisis period. Overall, the accounting estimate of the value of the firm is not deviating from the markets’ estimate, which indicates that accounting numbers continues to play the central role in the determination of stock prices

Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Palopo. Dibimbing oleh Rosdiana
dan Dwi Risky Arifanti.
Skripsi ini membahas tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran
interaktif dengan model flipped classroom berbantuan software swish max4.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas
dari produk ini.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan Research and
Development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima
tahapan yaitu analisis (analysis), perancangan (design), pengembangan
(development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Subjek
penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.6 SMP Negeri 1 Belopa. Instrumen yang
digunakan yaitu lembar validasi untuk ahli materi dan media, angket praktikalitas
untuk guru dan siswa, serta lembar soal pretest-posttest siswa untuk mengetahui
keefektifan pada penggunaan produk dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun teknik
analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif
kuantitatif.
Hasil penilaian berdasarkan validasi materi diperoleh skor persentase
92 5% dengan kategori “sangat valid” Hasil dari ahli media/desain diperoleh skor
persentase 79 37% dengan kategori “valid” Hasil praktikalitas dari guru diperoleh
skor 83 33% dengan kategori “sangat praktis” dan tingkat praktikalitas oleh siswa
diperoleh skor 78 23% dengan kategori “praktis” Berdasarkan hasil analisis
pretest-posttest diperoleh bahwa rata-rata perolehan nilai N-gain sebesar 61,93%
dengan kategori “sedang” Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa
media pembelajaran interaktif dengan model flipped classroom berbantuan
software swish max4 valid, praktis dan efektif digunakan.

PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL HURU HIJAIYAH MELALUI BERMAIN KARTU HURUF PADA ANAK KELOMPOK BDI TAMAN KANAK-KANAK AZ ZAHRAHKECAMATAN PALLANGGA KABUPATEN GOWA
Muliati. 2017. Peningkatan Kemampuan Mengenal Huruf Hijaiyah Melalui Bermain Kartu Huruf Pada Anak di Taman Kanak-Kanak Az Zahrah Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa. Kata kunci: Bermain Kartu Huruf Hijaiyah, Pengembangan Agama Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran adalah separuh (50%) anak tidak mampu Mengenal Huruf Hijaiyah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan anak tersebut, perlu dikembangkan kemampuan Agama anak melalui bermain kartu huruf hijaiyah. Bermain Kartu huruf hijaiyah dimanfaatkan sebagai metode kegiatan pembelajaran Agama di TK. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan bermain kartu dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf hijaiyah pada anak di Taman Kanak-Kanak Az Zahrah Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa..Hasil penefitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1). penerapan bermain kartu huruf hijaiyah mengembangkan kemampuan agama anak dilakukan dengan apersepsi, mengenal huruf hijaiyah dan mengkomunikasikan atau menyebutkan huruf hijaiyah menceritakan Penerapan bermain kartu huruf hijaiyah kemampuan mengenal huruf hijaiyah anak dari 50% pada siklus I menjadi 75 % pada siklus II.
Berdasarkan hasil penetitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal huruf hijaiyah anak meningkat melalui bermain kartu huruf hijaiyah di Taman Kanak-kanak Az Zahrah dan memberikan dampak yang positif. Dalam hal ini dapat dilihat dari anak yang sudah mampu menyebut dan mengenal huruf hijaiyah
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Defining the characteristics of digital natives among engineering students in Malaysia / Muliati Sedek
This research builds upon the discourse surrounding digital natives. Digital native is generation of students, who born between 1980 and 1994, has grown up with technology from a very young age. They are hypothesized to possess sophisticated knowledge and skills in using technology and are highly motivated to learn digitally. Thus, this implies a need to change the knowledge content and methods of delivery in universities to cater to the students’ needs. However, many studies have revealed that the ‘digital natives’ use of technology is neither extensive nor diverse. No substantial studies have been undertaken particularly among the Malaysian Technical University Network’s (MTUN) students to support or refute such claims. This study, undertaken only at one MTUN, used a questionnaire to investigate students’ patterns in using technology and perceptions on the factors that contribute to the use of technology. The findings revealed that even though
students’ reception towards use of technology was very positive, there was a lack in diversity and sophistication
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
