This article discusses the thought of Mahmud Muhammad Taha in methodology of istinbat or legal interpretation in ‎Islamic law which emphasizes on the egalitarian values of Islamic law. In his interpretation, he uses the naskh or ‎abrogation method, a method used by pioneering Islamic jurists to find solution for conflicting Qur’anic verses. It is ‎employed by applying the relevant verses revealed latter and postponing the application of other irrelevant verses. ‎However, Mahmud Muhammad Taha convinces that the abrogation method he has proposed is an enabling ‎method for the evolution of Islamic law. It is basically a flexible interpretation of the text that allows movement ‎from one Qur’anic text to another on the basis of relevance. As a result, the application of certain Qur’anic text and ‎abandonment of another is temporary and not conclusive. On other occasion, the abandoned text can be applied ‎whenever it becomes relevant. This study is based on egalitarian values of Islamic law which has been proposed by ‎Taha. He asserts that currently shari’ah or Islamic law is seen as discriminative and incapable of fulfilling the true ‎mission of Islam which is just, prosperous welfare and compassionat

Man appeared in the world, lived in groups, formed a society and began to live in a civilized manner. Certain basic ideas have been created and followed for the formation and order of faith in life. Language is the basis of all this. It is this language that makes us think in the 21st century. The origin of language and the evolutionary evolution of grammatical literature has amazed us. Language has originated in the form of Sangams and created Sangam literature, Keezhkanakku books, Dharma books, Epics, Puranas, Bhakti literature, religious literature, minor literature, Siddha literature and modern literature. Tamil scholars have contributed immensely to the origin of a language, to translate into sound and script and to survive till the present time. Adhirai Muhammad Taha is one of the scholars who possessed the knowledge of language, grammar and literature. Islam in their works

Molybdenum disulfide/graphene nanocomposite as electrodes for ionic artificial muscles

    No full text
Soft ionic actuators that perform fast and large response at low voltages are desirable for soft robotics. However, current actuators have poor performances due to unproper electrode materials. Here, we develop molybdenum disulfide/graphene (MoS2-rGO) nanocomposite with high capacitance from MoS2 and good conductivity from graphene. Therefore, the corresponding ionic actuators multiply performances by over 6.5 times at 0.5 V and 1 Hz, hence can be used to activate soft robotic fingers working on the delicate surfaces of smartphones. These actuation enhancement and soft finger demonstration clearly suggest the high quality of MoS2-rGO nanocomposite and strengthen potentials of ionic actuators in soft robotics

Descriptions of nature in the minor literature of Muhammad Taha

Literature is about taking us to the path of ideals. Instilling knowledge. To show the world the goal of the creators. Wealth is perishable one day. But literature is not destroyed. Though hidden in the book, it lives on in the minds and minds of the learned. Even if literature does not reach the hands of everyone in the world, it will always be in the minds of a few people in one corner or the other. They cannot be translated into works and literature that everyone can like. It is created only with the variety of thoughts that arise in the mind. Though many literary forms have changed from the Sangam age to the present day, the purpose of the creation of literature has not changed. The main purpose of the creation of literature is to bring out the joys and sorrows of the world. All of us have been living in harmony with nature till date. When the joys and sorrows of human life are created in the form of literature, it is like saying something imaginary to leave only life as love, heroism and charity. Explaining nature and the context in which the event takes place takes the reader back to the place where the environment took place. That is why nature occupies such an important place in literature. In literature, as much as there is a parable, there are as many descriptions of nature as there are descriptions of nature. This method has been practiced till date. Religions and religious literature are no exception. Descriptions are particularly widely used in modern literature. The purpose of this article is to bring out how the descriptions of nature have been included in the literature of the author of Islamic literature, Muhammad Taha

TEZ8671Tez (Yüksek Lisans) -- Çukurova Üniversitesi, Adana, 2011.Kaynakça (s. 98-102) var.xi, 103 s. : res. ; 29 cm.This study includes the determination and analysis of the main ideas in The Second Message of Islam (er-Risaletü's-Saniye mine'l-İslam) of Mahmud Muhammad Taha (d. 1985) in terms of methods in understanding and interpreting Qur'an as well as judgments of Qur'an and such concepts and theories as Islam and Socialism. In the introduction and the first sections of the study consisting of four sections, the author initially describes the living area and era of Muhammad Taha, and then some information is provided on his life and works as well as his Movement of Republican Brothers. In the second section, the method of Muhammad Taha for understanding and interpretation of Qur'an is defined; in addition, his main ideas regarding the second message are analyzed. The third section includes certain ideas regarding the essence of Qur'an, distinction between Mecca and Medina periods in interpretation method, clearancespiritual matter in interpretation, words of mukatta'a, number/letter symbolism in Qur'an interpretation and naskh theory. The fourth and last section includes the interpretation style of verses on jihad, slavery, veil, men-women separation in site, inequality of men and women, polygamy and divorce in terms of the initial and secondary message(s) of Qur'an and Islam, and subsequently, certain subjects like socialism and Islam, democracy are focused in terms of secondary/primary message(s) of Islam. Within the scope of four sections, it is concluded that Muhammad Taha had an eclectic style in his general spiritual consideration, adopted a sufistic approach in the interpretation of verses, used a secular tongue on topic regarding the second message, and supported opinions which strain the limit of tolerance considering the sound standards of traditional sense of Islam.Bu çalışma, Mahmud Muhammed Taha'nın (ö. 1985) gerek Kur'an'ı anlama ve yorumlamada yöntem gerekse Kur'an ahkamının tarihselliği, İslam ve sosyalizm gibi kavram ve kuramlar açısından er-Risaletü's-Saniye mine'l-İslam (İslam'ın İkinci Mesajı) adlı eserindeki ana fikirlerinin tespit ve tahlilini içermektedir. Dört bölümden oluşan çalışmanın giriş ya da birinci bölümünde ilkin müellif Muhammed Taha'nın yaşadığı çağ ve çevre ana hatlarıyla betimlenmiş, ardından müellifin hayatı ve eserleri ile kurduğu Cumhuriyetçi Kardeşler Hareketi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Muhammed Taha'nın genel çerçevede Kur'an'ı anlama ve yorumlama metodu ortaya konulmaya çalışılmış; ayrıca onun İkinci Mesaj nazariyesi ilgili belli başlı görüşleri de değerlendirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Kur'an ve yorum anlayışı bağlamında Kur'an'ın mahiyeti, tefsir usulünde Mekki-Medeni ayrımı, tefsirde zahir-batın meselesi, huruf-ı mukatta'a, Kur'an yorumunda sayı/harf sembolizmi ve nesh teorisi ile ilgili fikirlerine yer verilmiştir. Dördüncü ve son bölümde ise müellifin İslam'ın ve Kur'an'ın birinci/fer'i mesaj(lar)ı bağlamında cihad, kölelik, tesettür, haremlik-selamlık, kadın-erkek eşitsizliği, çok eşlilik ve boşanma gibi konularla ilgili ayetleri yorumlama tarzı ele alınmış, bunun ardından İslam'ın ikinci/asli mesajı çerçevesinde İslam ve sosyalizm, demokrasi gibi konular üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu dört bölüm kapsamında Muhammed Taha'nın genel dini düşüncesinin eklektik bir yapıya sahip olduğu, ayetlerin yorumunda tasavvufi bir tarz benimsediği, İkinci Mesajla ilgili konularda ise seküler bir dil kullandığı, geleneksel İslam anlayışının sıhhat ölçütleri dikkate alındığında, kabul edilebilirlik sınırlarını zorlar nitelikte görüşler savunduğu sonucuna varılmıştır

In his thought-provoking article, Muhammad Taha Tariq, an MBA from IBA Karachi, emphasizes the importance of having diversified income sources in today’s unstable economic environment. He critiques the common financial habits of young earners, including impulsive spending, status-driven purchases, and the tendency to prioritize social expectations over financial security. Taha highlights the importance of saving early, building emergency funds, and investing in avenues like mutual funds and dividend-paying stocks. Drawing wisdom from both modern financial principles and the Quranic lesson from Surah Yusuf, he advocates for self-discipline, long-term planning, and mindful generosity. The piece underscores that true financial stability stems from careful portfolio management, controlled lifestyle choices, and a conscious effort to save before spending

Mushrooms have gained worldwide popularity for both their nutritional and medicinal properties. Despite thousands of edible mushrooms worldwide, only a handful of mushrooms are available on a commercial scale or have been extensively studied for their therapeutic properties. A lot of research on health properties of mushrooms focus on chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes. In particular, a lot of research is currently focusing on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. The current research focuses on Calocybe indica Purkayastha & Chandra (milky white mushroom), a relatively unknown mushroom. Fresh fruiting bodies of mushrooms were sliced then either freeze-dried or oven-dried before extracted using aqueous and ethanolic (99.8%) solvents. Cultures of mouse Neuro-2a-blastoma (N2a) cells were seeded into a 96-well plate and assessed by using a colorimetric 3-[4,5-dimethythiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay with varying concentrations of the mushroom extracts (0-500 μg/mL) in order to determine potential neuroprotective properties of the mushroom. A negative control of N2a cells was used to determine cell viability and a positive control of H2O2 was used to determine cell toxicity. Oven-dried aqueous extract of Calocybe indica showed the highest cell viability (121%), followed by oven-dried ethanol extract (113%), freeze-dried aqueous extract (112%), and freeze-dried ethanol extract (105%). Neuroprotection against H2O2 followed a similar trend. Lower concentrations of Calocbye indica correlated with higher cell viability and neuroprotection. The total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of the mushroom were evaluated using a Folin-Ciocalteu reagent and 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) dye.Oven-dried ethanol extracts showed the highest neuroprotective effects, the second highest total phenolic content (5.04 mg GAE/50 g dried mushroom weight), and the third highest antioxidant activity (12.89 mg/mL). Freeze-dried ethanol extracts showed the highest total phenolic content (7.2 mg GAE/50 g dried mushroom weight) and the highest antioxidant activity (EC50=8.63 mg/mL) despite having the lowest neuroprotective effects. A moderate positive correlation (R2 = 0.61) was found between total phenolic content and antioxidant activity. While phenolic content plays a considerable role in antioxidant activity, there is reasonable evidence that non-phenolic compounds contribute greatly to antioxidant activity and neuroprotection
