    THE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND RELIGIOUS HOSPITALITY IN OPEN DAG PPME AL IKHLASH AMSTERDAM

    This article describes and analyses the Open dag event held by PPME Al Ikhlas Amsterdam. It is an annual event and a form of religious hospitality in which the members of PPME Al Ikhlas Amsterdam warmly welcome the guests or strangers. This study uses a perspective of hospitality from either scriptural or theoretical basis. In terms of scripture, religious hospitality is highly commended by Islamic and Christian scriptures. While in terms of theoretical perspective, there are many scholars who discussed the theme based on various approaches; theology, sociology, ethics. I found that Open Dag allows people from various backgrounds to meet in person and to become aquianted with the existence of PPME Al Ikhlas Amsterdam.     Abdurrahman Wahid is a prominent moslem scholar in Indonesia and Indonesia’s fourth president (and the first president voted by people’s representative council). He was born from traditionalist muslim family. His grand father is Hasyim Asy’ary, the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama’, the biggest islamic organization in theworld with 25 million member. His father, Wahid Hasyim, is the first minister of religious affairs. He was also the chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama’ for several periods.His contribution to create peace is countless. He is well known as the father of pluralism in Indonesia. After his death, many people started to fund organizations learning about his thoughts of pluralism, culture and religion, protecting minorities, respecting diversities, creating peace, etc.This article is attempting to explain his non-violance approach to create peace, in the case of terrorism prefention. Firstly, the writer define the term terrorism in general and Abdurrahman Wahid’s version. Secondly, it is explained three backgrounds of the emergence of terrorism; (1). the feeling of inferiority (2). Superficial understanding towards religion (3) the weak system of Indonesia government.     Pendidikan merupakan pedoman hidup bagi manusia yang berkeadaban. Sekolah suatu bentuk miniatur pada sebuah sistem pendidikan dan juga merupakan gambaran dari perkembangan masyarakat. Di era kontemporer dunia pendidikan banyak serangan yang menghambat dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada keunggulan out put yang akan dihasilkan. Menganalisa hal itu semua memang pendidikan tidak lepas dari suatu pembiayaan yang mempunyai hubungan kausalitas dan berperan penting dalam regulasi pendidikan, apabila dengan biaya yang mencukupi untuk melaksanakan pendidikan tidak akan menjadi penghambat untuk menciptakan pendidikan yang bermutu unggul. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis. (1) Pelaksanaan proses budgeting dalam penentuan penetapan anggaran untuk mencapai sekolah unggulan; (2) Pelaksanaan proses accounting dan auditing di MA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Pondok Pesantren Amanatul Ummah Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pelaksanaan proses budgeting dalam penentuan penetapan anggaran untuk mencapai sekolah unggulan melaksanakan 5 (lima) proses yaitu: (a) Sumber Dana yang Bervariatif; (b) Kordinasi Setiap Program Jurusan; (c) Pengadaan Buku Hand Out; (d) Subsidi Silang; (e) Produkpembelajaran. (2) Pelaksanaan proses accounting dan auditing di MA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah. Pada accountingnya melaksanakan (Accounting) Pencatatan uang masuk dan keluar. Sedangkan di proses auditingnya (Auditing) pengawasan oleh BSM. Education is the basic life of civilized people. Moreover, school becomes a miniature of the education system and also as a representation of society development. In this era, education is attacked and it obstructs the development of output superiority as a result. Based on those phenomenons, education cannot be separated from budgeting which has causality relationship and has important role in educational regulation. With sufficient cost in implementation of education will not be an obstacle to creat superior quality of education This research was aimed to describe and analyze (1) implementation of budgeting process in deciding the establishment of budget in order to achieve superior school label. (2) implementation of accounting and auditing process in MA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah. This research was conducted in Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Pondok Pesantren Amanatul Ummah Surabaya. As a result, the school implemented five processes of budgeting process in deciding the establishment of budget in order to achieve superior school label. Those are (a) the fund sources which have variation; (b) Coordination of each program Department; (c) Procurment hand out books (d) Cross-subsidies (e) learning products.     Generally knowing that the entry of non muslim to the land of h{ara>m is forbidden based on su>rah At Taubah verse 28. Islamic scholars have different interpretations to the verse. Arab Saudi Kingdom, the authority of the land, sometimes permits some non muslims to enter it for business interest. What is actually the background of this prohibition? What is the moral idea of this verse? This research uses thematic interpretation methodology with double movement of Fazlur Rahman theory to analyze this verse. From historical side, prohibition of entering the land of h{ara>m is final statement on the various conflicts faced by Muslims with non Muslim of Mecca at the time. This verse was revealed not to allow non Muslim to be close to the land of hara>m, because non muslim of Mecca were najs for their attitude to disobey the agreement and their paganism behavior. The moral idea of verse 28 of su>rah At-Taubah is the attitude of the political assertiveness of Muslims against those who break the covenant and clear Al Masjid Al H{ara>m from paganism. So, Non Muslims are allowed to enter the land of h{ara>m with the permission of the authority of the area, now Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with some requirements.     Mythology arises from the way society constructs the meaning of supernatural phenomena through meta-language; an interpretation of phenomena by presenting supernatural values. This meaning forms the foundation for community efforts to merge religious rituals with local wisdom, creating an integrative culture that reflects both. The main goal is to build a harmonious relationship: a vertical relationship between God and humans, and a horizontal one between humans and fellow creatures. This is where Islamic Law grounded on mythology finds its foundation. An important aspect that must be studied is placing mythology, not as historical science but as formal science so that its relevance in constructing Islamic law can be tested. This paper aims to reveal how mythology is able to construct Urf Sahih as one of the sources of Islamic Law. The validity is measured from the relevance of integrative values in culture with the concept of Islamic law. This study employed field research with a qualitative approach focusing on the meaning behind phenomena in the social sphere. The primary sources were collected from observation and interviews with informants. Meanwhile, secondary data were drawn from several books and studies related to this research topic. This study shows that mythology of Ontobogo among the Bubakan community produced an organic local culture in the form of kabumi, punggahan, and pudunan. Following the spread of Islam in Bubakan by Sunan Kalijaga and Sunan Batok, the culture evolved into an integrative culture that combines spiritual values and local wisdom chosen as an expression of religious obedience. This is the creative way of the Bubakan community (local genius) in constructing Islamic Law through an integrative culture based on mythology. &nbsp; Mitologi lahir dari cara masyarakat mengkonstruksi makna atas fenomena supernatural melalui meta-language; sebuah interpretasi atas fenomena dengan menghadirkan nilai-nilai supernatural. Pemaknaan ini menjadi basis motivasi masyarakat untuk menciptakan budaya integratif antara ritualitas-keagamaan dan kearifan lokal (local wisdom). Tujuan utamanya, terbangun relasi harmoni yang bersifat vertikal (Tuhan dan manusia) dan horizontal (manusia dan sesama makhluk). Di sinilah Hukum Islam berbasis pada mitologi mendapatkan ruang persemaian. Aspek penting yang harus dikaji adalah menempatkan mitologi, bukan sebagai historical science tetapi sebagai formal science sehingga dapat diuji relevansinya dalam mengkonstruksi Hukum Islam. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap; bagaimana mitologi mampu mengkonstruksi Urf Sahih sebagai salah satu sumber Hukum Islam. Kesahihan itu diukur dari relevansi antara nilai-nilai integratif pada kebudayaan dengan konsep Hukum Islam. Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif karena obyek yang dikaji adalah makna di balik fenomena dalam lingkup sosial. Sumber primer berupa data observasi dan data informan. Adapun data sekunder berupa buku dan penelitian terkait dengan topik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mitologi tentang Ontobogo di kalangan masyarakat Bubakan melahirkan budaya lokal organik berupa kabumi, punggahan, dan pudunan. Pasca penyebaran Islam ke Bubakan oleh Sunan Kalijaga dan Sunan Batok, budaya tersebut bermetamorfosa menjadi budaya integratif yang menggabungkan nilai-nilai spiritual dan kearifan lokal yang dipilih sebagai ekspresi ketaatan beragama. It also aims to study Sheikh Al-Albani’s approach to correction and weakening. Objective scientific critical study, in this research, the researcher pursued an objective analytical and critical approach. It also relies on the study of hadith books, their collections, and abundant encyclopedias. It is based on the aspect of hadith sciences, in a sufficiently library method, so that it is based on the study of references and available sources specialized in the subject in question, and the most important findings of the researcher through research and reading of this. The matter is that judging a hadith is a matter of discretion, so it is the case of a mujtahid in jurisprudential rulings that he is right and wrong

    Theological Values in Inter-religious Relation Verses : A Study on Tafsir Marah Labid

    Building interreligious relations was often viewed merely from social perspectives. It actually contains theological values. This research attempts to analyze the theological values in the tolerance and interreligious relation verses of the Qur’an that are interpreted by Syaikh Nawawi Al-Bantani. This descriptive-analytical study employs thematic methods by Al-Farmawi. The collected data are then analyzed in terms of its theological aspect. Marah Al-Labid is chosen for it’s written by an Indonesian scholar connecting classic and modern era. In addition, Marah Al-Labid is of Sufistic tafsir. Therefore, it is interesting to know how an Indonesian scholar viewed interreligious relation and its spiritual and theological values in the context of Indonesia. It can be concluded that having interreligious relation is lawful. Muslims are allowed to have social relation with Ahlul kitab or the people of books such as to get marry with them, to eat the meat of the animals they (Jews and Christians) slaughtered, and to have debate and discussion with them in the best way. 

    THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AL-JAM’U METHOD ON MUKHTALIF AL-HADITS AND ITS LEGAL ISTIDLAL: Hadith Study on the Limits of Male Awrah

    Scholars offer three methods to resolve the mukhtalif al-hadits: al-jam’u (reconciliation), al-naskh (abolishing the ruling of the hadith that first appears), and al-tarjih (favoring one of the traditions). Among the examples of traditions that fall under the category of mukhtalif are the traditions about the limits of the awrah of men. The researcher in this article will discuss the implementation of the al-jam’u method on the hadith about the limits of male genitalia. This research is a type of qualitative research with a library research model through a philosophical approach, and data processing techniques using descriptive-analytical methods and then analyzed using content analysis techniques.  The results of this study are that there are two hadiths about the limits of male awrah that are outwardly contradictory. The first hadith comes from Jarhad who says that the male thigh is awrah. While the second tradition which comes from Anas bin Malik says that the Prophet’s thigh is not awrah. The implementation of the al-jam’u (reconciliation) method related to this issue is that although in terms of sanad quality the first tradition is stronger which says, the madzahib arba’ah agree that the thigh is a male awrah which should not be shown to others. Only Dawud Zhahiri and Ustukhri say that the thigh is not awrah. The madzahib arba’ah’s interpretation of the hadith about the opening of the Prophet’s thighs explains his inadvertence because his clothes were uncovered and in a critical situation. In addition, after his thighs were exposed, he immediately covered them.[Untuk menyelesaikan mukhtalif al-hadis, para ulama menawarkan tiga metode, yaitu: al-jam’ (rekonsiliasi), al-naskh (menghapus hukum hadis yang pertama kali muncul), dan al-tarjih (mengunggulkan salah satu hadis). Di antara contoh hadis yang termasuk kategori mukhtalif adalah hadis seputar batasan aurat laki-laki. Artikel ini akan mengulas seputar implementasi metode al-jam’u terhadap hadis seputar batasan aurat laki-laki dan istidlal hukumnya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan model kepustakaan (library research) melalui pendekatan filosofis, serta teknik pengolahan data menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitik kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis).  Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat dua hadis tentang batasan aurat laki-laki yang secara lahiriahnya bertentangan. Hadis pertama bersumber dari Jarhad yang mengatakan paha laki-laki adalah aurat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perintah Nabi kepada Jarhad untuk menutup pahanya. Sementara hadis kedua yang bersumber dari Anas bin Malik mengatakan paha Nabi bukanlah aurat. Hal ini berdasarkan pada hadis yang menjelaskan bahwa paha nabi terlihat saat menuju ke perang Khaibar. Implementasi dari metode al-jam’u (rekonsiliasi) terkait masalah ini yaitu meskipun dari segi kualitas sanad lebih kuat hadis pertama, tapi madzahib arba’ah sepakat mengatakan paha merupakan aurat laki-laki yang tidak boleh diperlihatkan kepada orang lain. Hanya Dawud Zhahiri dan Ustukhri yang mengatakan paha bukan aurat. Keduanya mengatakan aurat laki-laki hanya kemaluan depan dan belakang.  Istidlal madzahib arba’ah dari hadis tentang terbukanya paha Nabi menjelaskan ketidaksengajaan beliau karena pakaiannya tersingkap dan dalam keadaan genting (perjalanan perang Khaibar). Di samping itu setelah pahanya terlihat, beliau langsung menutupnya.

    Zakat is a right and obligation for every Muslim in the world, especially in Indonesia. Many people do not know how zakat is managed. The disadvantage of the regional zakat institution in Rembang Regency is that it still uses a manual system so that data is often lost and errors in data entry and then have to re-enter the data again. This study aims to assist the management of regional zakat and at the same time facilitate the committee in managing data on muzaki (people who pay zakat) and mustahik (people who are entitled to receive zakat). Another purpose of making this system is to replace the media used today, namely Microsoft Excel. This management information system is designed using laravel framework. The choice of using the Laravel framework is because the language is simple, easy to learn, and popular among programmers in the country. The creation of this system or website is expected to facilitate the committee from the Rembang BAZDA institution in managing district or city zakat. The system will be developed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) prototype model. From the blackbox testing the website-based system runs well without any errors, while the usability scale system test gets 73 results which are included in the good category, meaning the website can be accepted among office employees and the public
