Muhammad Hussain Azad is considered as architect of Urdu prose. All his books are very famous and well accepted. "Tazkaratul Ullama" is also one of his books, but has been discussed very little. This book is out of print now. In 1922, Azad's grandson Agha Tahir shared its existence with Kh. Hasan Nizami,who advised him to get it published . In 1923, the book was published from Lahore.
