The mandibularly fixed hinge axis - investigation of patients with sound and pathological jaws

    No full text
In former works, we had proved that test persons with sound temporomandibular joints (TMJs) used a mandibularly fixed hinge axis (MFHA) and were able to pilot the mandible by solely two kinematical degrees of freedom. We wondered if we could evaluate the MFHA the same way for patients who had problems with their TMJs. Actually, the MFHA could be determined likewise. The results could provide information on the reason for the distortion of the movement of the TMJs, which cannot be yielded by X-ray radiographs. (C) 2007 Elsevier GrnbH. All rights reserved

Defalcation of European Union Budget in the Romanian Criminal Law

One of the goals for Romania, after the 1st January 2007, was to protect the financial interests of the European Union to fight against fraud, corruption and other illegal activities. In order to achieve this target, the legal framework has been completed by the Law no. 161/2003 which introduced the article no. 182 in the text of the Law no. 78/2000 regarding prevention, discovery and punishing the corruption acts. The author analyses this new article and he develops the two constitutive elements (actus reus, mens rea), the objective and subjective aspects of the analyzed crime, the ways, the legal punishments applicable to this crime.fraud, financial interests, spending, incomes, actus reus, mens rea, legal punishments.

In this contribution, the author attempts to critically discuss main issues referred to by Ovidiu Anemţoaicei in his book Male Bodies and Sexual Difference.A Proposal for a Feminist Corporeo-Ethics (published in Romanian, 2017). Anemţoaicei’s is a new take on relations between male bodies, men, and masculinity that endeavours to implement, in the field of men’s studies, the notion of sexual difference as understood in Luce Irigaray’s thought. His readings of Irigaray’s works lead Anemţoaicei to a postDeleuzian interpretation of the concept of “becoming-man,” which allows him to outline a framework of newly-defined masculinity, a non-hegemonic ethical stance on female and male corporeality. In this contribution, the author attempts to critically discuss main issues referred to by Ovidiu Anemţoaicei in his book Male Bodies and Sexual Difference.A Proposal for a Feminist Corporeo-Ethics (published in Romanian, 2017). 94 GHz Monolithic Transmitter for Weather Radar Application

This thesis was written for concluding my studies at the University of Padua. The main topic is the design of a monolithic transmitter in SiGe bipolar technology, for weather radar application at an operating frequency around 94GHz. At such a high frequency parasitic elements have to be taken into account very carefully. Appropriate matching networks become important to allow the signals to pass across the different ections of the transmitter, without reflections or attenuations. To this aim, transmission lines were used instead of inductors, in order to save size and to have a more reliable modelling of device parameters and parasitic elements. The structure of the transmitter includes a transformer (which acts as Balun), a frequency quadrupler and a buffer. The transmitter input receives a single-ended reference signal at 23.5GHz, with a power of 0dBm on a single-ended input impedance of 50Ω. The output has been designed for a differential load of 100Ω and to operate in the temperature range of 0°C - 100°C, with a typical output power above 10dBm and spurious harmonic below -25dB

ALEXANDRU-OVIDIU VINTILĂ, Traian Brăileanu, under the Mark of the Categorical Imperative (a Biobibliographical Approach)

    No full text
This study proposes a biobibliographical approach on Traian Brăileanu, one of the most interesting theoreticians of the elites, one of the most important European sociologists of the nations who had a systemic vision about society, the first Romanian author of a work dealing with the science of politics and one of the most prolific translators of Aristotle and Kant. In fact, his entire work was influenced by the Kantian doctrine. His work is very complex and resisted in spite of the interdictions of the communist regime. This is why we will try to reconsider and re-evaluate it in order to give Traian Brăileanu the place he deserves

Local and global minimizers for a variational energy involving a fractional norm

    No full text
We study existence, uniqueness, and other geometric properties of the minimizers of the energy functional ∥u∥2Hs(Ω)+∫ΩW(u)dx, where ∥u∥Hs(Ω) denotes the total contribution from Ω in the H s norm of u and W is a double-well potential. We also deal with the solutions of the related fractional elliptic Allen-Cahn equation on the entire space Rn . The results collected here will also be useful for forthcoming papers, where the second and the third author will study the Γ-convergence and the density estimates for level sets of minimizers

Synthese und Strukturen von catena-Stibanen und Antimon-Komplexen

The synthesis and spectroscopical characterization of catena-polystibanes are reported. Attempts to obtain their crystal structure by powder X-ray diffraction of the catena-polystibanes were made.Multinuclear organoantimony ironcarbonyl complexes were obtained by the reactions between tetraorganodistibanes and iron nonacarbonyl. The resulting complexes were investigated by spectroscopical methods and their crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction on single crystal. The reaction between tetraethyldistibane and cis-bis-piperidin molybden tetracarbonyl resulted in formation of a cyclic distibane complex. Trimethyl antimony and trimethyl bismuth complexes with sixth group metalcarbonyl fragments were prepared and characterized by spectroscopical and theoretical methods.Reactions between tetraorganodistibanes and bistrimethylsilylacetilene titanocene lead to the formation multinuclear clusters complexes with unusual crystal structures. Ionic organoantimony(V) compounds were synthesized and spectroscopically characterized

Anemțoaicei proponuje nowe ujęcie związków pomiędzy męskimi ciałami, mężczyznami i męskościami, aktualizując na polu men’s studies pojęcie różnicy płciowej w rozumieniu Luce Irigaray. Interpretacje prac belgijsko-francuskiej filozofki prowadzą rumuńskiego badacza do post-deleuzjańskiego odczytania konceptu „stawania-się-mężczyzną”, co pozwala mu tym samym zarysować teoretyczne ramy dla nowej męskiej, niehegemonicznej postawy etycznej względem kobiecych i męskich cielesności.In this contribution, the author attempts to critically discuss main issues referred to by Ovidiu Anemţoaicei in his book Male Bodies and Sexual Difference.
