Integración del Aprendizaje Matemático y la Programación

Linnaeus University; Suecia.In this paper, we look closely at one example of an interdisciplinary approach regarding mathematics and programming. How can a mathematics teacher integrate a programming activity in their attempt to engage students in mathematical meaning making? To address this issue, we review interdisciplinary approaches to learning mathematics and programming while trying to develop a more articulate language to think about the challenge of integrating them. Accordingly, we decompose the problem on how to think of the joint learning of these two domains in order to serve mathematical thinking. Our proposed approach can be employed by teachers to design and think of activities integrating the two subjects in unit-disciplinary or interdisciplinary settings
Eliciting and empowering teachers' AI literacy: the devil is in the detail
An emerging challenge from the rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in society and education is how to prepare teachers for this evolving reality. Teachers need to integrate Generative AI (GenAI) into their teaching practices and educate students about AI within their specific teaching contexts. Although several frameworks have been published to guide AI literacy education, these frameworks often remain abstract and disconnected from the actual teaching environments where AI literacy needs to be applied. This disconnect makes it difficult to link the theoretical knowledge proposed in these AI literacy frameworks to the specific AI-related requirements that teachers face. Pinpointing AI literacy aspects relevant to teachers’ specific teaching contexts and prior knowledge is needed for guiding teachers to relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and supporting materials. Thus, to address these challenges we have developed a method that has recently been tested and piloted with teachers. The results of our efforts suggest that the tested method effectively triggers discussions about us- ing GenAI in teaching contexts. Distinct patterns of interaction with the GenAI application emerged, which are discussed in the paper with the long-term goal of developing tools to identify misconceptions about AI and enhance understanding
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Using enkapsis theory for unravelling societal complexities - the case of Uber
Digital technologies can create novel clusters of societal entities. This can lead to tensions in relationships between existing societal entities and in some cases it requires a rethinking of the structures that characterize these relationships. An example of a digital technology that has challenged existing relationships between traditional businesses, legal authorities and the public is Uber, an application-based transportation networking company. One way of understanding such complex relationships is in terms of enkaptic interlacements. The theory of enkapsis is a philosophical tool, based on a specific view of reality, which may guide a novel understanding of the relationship between artefacts and entities and between social structures\u3cbr/\u3ethat exist in reality. It distinguishes between three main types of relationships between societal entities, namely part-whole relationships, enkaptic interlacements and interlinkages. If we apply this rather abstract theory to the complex case of Uber, we find, for example, that Uber has a part-whole relationship with the information technology infrastructure. This implies that\u3cbr/\u3ewithout digital technologies, Uber loses its meaning and will not function according to its primary function, namely to connect drivers to passengers. We explore how the theory of enkapsis can explain a multiplicity of other complex relationships and explain the different responses to Uber in different countries, cultural settings and legal systems
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
