    Wild speculations on the missing flight MH370: balancing online expression and content regulation in Malaysia / Mahyuddin Daud

    A recent incident on disappearance of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 has broken billion hearts of people around the world. Joint international investigations have confirmed that the flight has ended in the middle of South Indian Ocean. However, till the day this work is written, no sign of wreckage, dead bodies or any shred of evidence could be found to provide an answer thus inviting wild speculations to the incident. Wild speculations on plane hijacking, suicide, terrorism acts and more can easily be found online despite threats by the authorities not to speculate. In this regard, the author recalls the right to freedom of expression (FOE) - which has been long recognised by international treaties. Accordingly, FOE has been expanded to include online expressions. New technology allows Internet content to be created without the need for approval from an editor – like in print media. This could invite creation of problematic content (such as speculations on MH370) and often led to intermediary liability of webmasters and service providers. Therefore, this paper seeks to address on 3 significant points. Firstly, a brief problem statement on MH370 incident and surrounding legal risks caused by wild speculations shall be addressed. Secondly, the author will discuss current legal positions on digital right to FOE vis-a-vis Internet content regulation in Malaysia focusing on online speculations. Finally, the author will provide suggestions to balance between rights to digital expression and Internet content regulation with the view on minimising online risks to netizens

    Kualitas Organoleptik dan Kandungan Gizi Kerupuk Ikan Lokal (Bleberan) Formulasi sebagai Camilan untuk Balita Stunting

    Latar Belakang: Permasalahan gizi pada balita sering diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu faktor langsung, tidak langsung, faktor utama dan faktor dasar. Stunting merupakan masalah kekurangan gizi kronis pada balita yang dapat berdampak jangka panjang maupun jangka pendek. Sebagian besar wilayah Kota Bengkulu terletak di pesisir yang kaya hasil laut. Beberapa ikan kecil dan relative murah merupakan hasil sampingan. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menilai uji hedonik kesukaan kerupuk dengan variasi sayuran (sawi hijau, wortel, dan tomat apel). Metode: Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Gizi selama 1 bulan dimulai dari pembuatan produk hingga uji organoleptik dan uji daya terima pada masyarakat di Puskesmas terpilih dengan kriteria puskesmas stunting tertinggi (Puskesmas Pasar Ikan, Puskesmas Beringin Raya, Puskesmas Sawah Lebar, Puskesmas Penurunan, Puskesmas Anggut Atas, Puskesmas Sukamerindu, serta Puskesmas Jalan Gedang). Penelitian ini merupakan Eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi Stata 16 diawali analisis univariat (proporsi dan rata-rata). Hasil: Kerupuk ikan dengan formulasi tomat apel masing-masing bahan dasar ikan 250 g dan tomat apel 50 g menunjukkan rata-rata skor kesukaan tertinggi dan mengandung 424,42 kkal dan 0,96 g rotein. Secara statistik perbedaan ditunjukkan oleh  mutu organoleptik warna, dengan tingkat kemaknaan p-value=0,008. Kesimpulan: Formulasi kerupuk ikan bleberan dengan variasi tomat menunjukan skor kesukaan tertinggi dengan nilai rata-rata  3,83, dengan perbedaan bermakna pada mutu uji organoleptik warna

    Permasalahan gangguan pertumbuhan balita secara langsung dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya asupan gizi dan adanya penyakit infeksi. Protein sebagai salah satu asupan penting sangat diperlukan dalam pertumbuhan balita. Indonesia merupakan negara maritim, kaya hasil laut, tetapi pemanfaatannya belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi ikan lokal di Provinsi Bengkulu sebagai solusi sumber protein bagi balita stunting. Pada umumnya ikan hanya digoreng atau dimasak santan dalam keluarga, sehingga balita tidak pernah diberikan, hal ini mempertimbangkan duri ikan yang dapat membahayakan sistem pencernaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mengetahui kebiasaan ibu balita memanfaatkan ikan yang ada di sekitar tempat tinggal. Setelah diperoleh gambaran jenis ikan lokal yang mudah diakses yaitu Thryssa sp., dilanjutkan analisis zat gizi secara laboratorium. Kandungan protein dan zat besi hanya dapat dipenuhi oleh makanan mahal ternyata tidak selalu benar. Setiap 100 g ikan Thryssa sp. giling mengandung energi 153 kkal, protein 18,75 g, lemak 1,13 g, karbohidrat 0,19 g, dan Fe 1,71 mg.Toddler nutritional problems are directly influenced by nutritional intake and infectious diseases. Protein, as an important intake, is indispensable for the growth of toddlers. Indonesia has merged with a maritime country rich in marine products, but its use is not typical. This study aimed to explore the potential of local fish populations in Bengkulu Province as a protein source for stunting toddlers. In general, fish are only fried or cooked with coconut milk in the family, so toddlers are never given it, considering that fish spines can harm the digestive system. This study uses a quality approach to determine the habit of toddler mothers to use fish on the menu of the place of residence. After obtaining an overview of the types of local fish that are easily accessible, namely Thryssa sp., the laboratory analysis of nutrients was continued. Protein and iron can only be obtained from expensive foods, which is not always true. Every 100 g of Thryssa sp. groundfish contains 153 kcal of energy, 18.75 g of protein, 1.13 g of fat, 0.19 g of carbohydrates, and 1.71 mg of Fe

    Background.Anemia is one of the public health problems in Indonesia that can be experienced by all age groups range from toddlers to old age. The results of Riskesdas 2018 stated that in Indonesia 48.9% of pregnant women experience anemia. As many as 84.6% of anemia in pregnant women occurs in the age group of 15-24 years. Increasing the role of Posyandu cadres for young women in the consumption of blood-added tablets (TTD) in  Panca Mukti  Village, Pondok Kelapa District, is one of the efforts to prevent anemia as early as possible, in order to anticipate further impacts that can cause current public health problems such as stunting. Method.   Pelaksana an devotion activity to the Community of Mitra Village Development scheme in Panca Mukti Village, Pondok Kelapa District, Bengkulu Tengah Regency through a model  of involvement of adolescent  and community cadres (PRA), using methods based on science and local cultural wisdom (PTD), an approach that involves the community (CD), persuasive and educational.    External.  The types of mandatory outputs in this activity include  printed / electronic publications, video activities, increasing  the role  of partners, as well as additional outputs in the form of Educational Modules and Videos   Conclusions and Suggestions. There is an increase  in behavioral scores (knowledge, attitudes and actions)   of adolescent tutors and young women in the prevention of anemia in Panca Mukti Village, Bengkulu Tengah Regency, through  training,cadre training and online and offline assistance . Keywords: adolescents, anemia, behavior

    ABSTRACT Nutritional status in children under five is very important, if malnutrition occurs and if not treated immediately it will reduce the quality of human resources resulting in physical disorders, impaired intelligence and productivity. The COVID-19 pandemic increases the risk of an increase in the prevalence of stunting. The purpose of this study was to analyze the nutritional management of stunting toddlers during the COVID-19 pandemic using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method at the X Health centre, Bengkalis Regency based on input, process and output components. Method: This study used a qualitative approach using the analytic hierarchy process method. Data collection methods were carried out by in-depth interviews and observations to 15 informants, consisting of the administrative head of the Health Centre, nutrition officers, MCH coordinator midwife, village midwife, posyandu cadres and mothers of stunting toddlers.  Result: showed that at the input stage, health workers such as TPG and village midwives had met the competency requirements, there were no special appointments for stunting cadres and specific technical guidelines for stunting management, as well as the lack of infrastructure for monitoring growth and development in Posyandu. Implemented properly include antenatal care, supplementary feeding, vitamin A administration, the coverage of which is still low is exclusive breastfeeding and visits to Posyandu.     The Pengaruh Modifikasi Buah dan Sayur Terhadap Konsumsi Buah dan Sayur Pada Anak Sekolah Dasar Pangkalan Kerinci

    Upaya peningkatan konsumsi buah dan sayur pada anak usia sekolah dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan terhadap orang tua dan memberikan video tutorial tentang modifikasi buah dan sayur pada media sosial (WA Group) melalui perantara para guru. Rendahnya cakupan Perilaku Hidup Bersih Dan sehat (PHBS) pada indikator konsumsi buah dan sayur di Kabupaten Pelalawan dan hasil survey awal yang menunjukkan rendahnya  frekuensi membawa bekal buah dan sayur pada anak sekolah melatar belakangi peneliti melakukan penelitian ini. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah konsumsi buah dan sayur pada anak sekolah dasar di Pangkalan Kerinci. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Exprimental dengan rancangan penelitian pre test-post test non-Equivalent control Group Design. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli – Agustus 2022 dengan sampel sebanyak 100 siswa (50 pada kelompok perlakuan dan 50 pada kelompok kontrol). Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan 1 sampel T-test. Hasil penelitian menemukan rata-rata signifikan tertingi dari konsumsi buah dan sayur setelah intervensi yaitu 63,1 gram dan 134,1 gram pada kelompok perlakuan dan 63,9 gram dan 128,8 gram pada kelompok kontrol. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara frekuensi konsumsi buah dan sayur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Saran pada penelitian ini ialah disarankan kepada sekolah untuk membuat surat himbauan terkait program konsumsi buah dan sayur dalam satu kali seminggu, serta diharapkan kepada dinas kesehatan untuk meningkatkan edukasi kepada guru terkait konsumsi buah dan sayur di sekolah pada anak sekolah dasar.   Kata Kunci : Buah dan Sayur, Sekolah Dasar, Modifikasi

    Millennial or Generation Y is a group of people born after Generation X, namely people born in the range of 1980-2000. Now, this generation is between the ages of 17-37. There are some millennial students who have dropped out of school or graduated from universities and entered to work, but most of them are still in the school system.The image and concept of the teacher in contemporary society is very much different from the concept of the past. The past teacher means knowledgeable, wise, and prudent. Nowadays, teachers are seen as educational functionaries who are tasked with teaching on the basis of certain scientific and academic qualifications. With this task, the teacher receives material rewards from the state or the education manager. Thus, the most important factor in the teaching profession is scientific and academic qualifications. Meanwhile, wisdom and prudence which are moral attitudes and behaviors are no longer significant. In the classical concept, moral factors are above teacher qualifications.In general, teachers should understand the social changes that exist in the present. Teachers must not stop learning about new things. Global challenges in the current era are also different from the global challenges from the past. Whatever steps and methods carried out at school are certainly aimed at forming character and preparing quality human resources in Indonesia.In this paper, the author will outline the challenges for teachers in the millennial era and the efforts made in dealing with these challenges.
