Inclusive Models for Developing Entrepreneurship Education at Islamic Boarding Schools: A Case Study of Pondok Pesantren Orang Bertaqwa Temanggung
This study examines the potential for developing an inclusive entrepreneurship education model in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), a context often characterized by closed and selective educational practices. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight key informants, observations, and document analysis at Pondok Pesantren Orang Bertaqwa, Temanggung. The findings indicate that pesantren-based business units function as effective entrepreneurship laboratories and support students’ daily needs. However, access to entrepreneurial activities remains limited to selected students, resulting in unequal learning opportunities. At the same time, the openness of pesantren business units to community collaboration highlights their potential role in local economic empowerment. These findings underscore the need for a more inclusive and participatory entrepreneurship education model that ensures broader student involvement while maintaining pesantren values. This study contributes to entrepreneurship education theory by proposing an inclusive model tailored to Islamic boarding schools and offers practical implications for policymakers and practitioners seeking to strengthen the social and economic functions of pesantren through sustainable and equitable entrepreneurship education

The study used a qualitative approach to explore the Huma Betang philosophy\u27s values in developing national character education. Data were collected using interviews, documentation, and literature reviews, and subsequently analyzed with descriptive qualitative techniques. Source triangulation was used to ensure data validity. The Huma Betang philosophy, as a crystallization of Central Kalimantan\u27s local values, serves as a crucial foundation for national character building. Through this character development, Indonesian citizens are expected to embody and practice these national cultural values in their social and civic lives

Beyond Digitalization: AI-Driven Administrative Management and Its Impact on School Quality Improvement
The fast-disrupting entry of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational administration has warranted the need to decipher how digital transformation works beyond passing technical efficiencies; indeed, digital transformation creates havoc at the heart of school quality improvements. Existing literature mainly focuses on technology adoption and results pertaining to performance outcomes, while relatively lesser emphasis is given to the introduction of organizational and professional changes that accompany AI-borne administrative practices. This study aims to analyze the re-engineering of administrative workflows, decision-making, and professional roles in school management as a function of AI-supported administrative management. This research took a qualitative case study approach to provide a deeper understanding of AI-enabled administrative change in a school context. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with school leaders and administrative staff, non-participant observation of administrative processes, and secondary document analysis. The data were thematically analyzed for recurring patterns of efficiency, transparency, and transformation of professional practice. The findings suggest that AI-based administration improves the means of procedure efficiency and enhances the accuracy and transparency of data, and refashions administrative roles to function more in analytical and coordinative aspects rather than in routine clerical functions. Most significantly, the study shows that AI in reality acts as an enabling infrastructure restructuring administrative logic and organizational practices, but does not simply automate them. The results depict the importance of adopting a process perspective of AI integration, which can inform better and more context-specific educational management policies

Application of lesson study to improve the quality of mathematics learning in the era of society 5.0
Humans and technology in the 5.0 era of society are inseparable. This is very influential in mathematics learning. Mathematics learning in the current era emphasizes the use of technology as a tool to improve the quality of teaching and learning activities. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to see the application of lesson study to improve the quality of mathematics learning in the era of society 5.0. This type of research is qualitative, with a descriptive method to describe the result of the implementation of the lesson study. The lesson study application consisted of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 stages, namely plan, do, and see. In the planning stage, the model teacher planned the learning by preparing the teaching module. At the do stage, the model teacher implements learning in accordance with the teaching module that has been prepared. Then, at the seed stage, the model teacher reflects together with the observers. The results of this study showed that in each cycle of the lesson study application, there was an improvement in the quality of learning, such as the reduction of students sleeping, the use of handphones only for learning purposes, and there were 98% of students who were active during teaching and learning activities
Exploring EFL pre-service teachers’ emotional geographies during teaching practicum: A qualitative case study from Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia
As a response to interaction with the school environment during teaching practice, emotional experiences in teaching are still a challenge for future English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher candidates. Despite the growing focus on emotional studies, there is a lack of exploration of EFL pre-service teachers\u27 (PSTs) emotional geographies during teaching practicum. To address this gap, it is crucial to investigate PSTs’ emotional geographies in teaching practicum. Hence, this qualitative case study enlisted four EFL PSTs from one of the state Islamic institutes in Southeast Sulawesi who have completed teaching practice in two schools in Kendari, Indonesia. The data were collected through written reflection, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD). Afterwards, data were analyzed following the thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006) using the framework of emotional geographies of teaching (Hargreaves, 2001). Results show that participants showed positive and negative emotions during their teaching practice in moral dimensions. Those emotions are implicated in developing their competencies, including professional and cognitive aspects. These emotions influence students\u27 study and follow-through, fostering a positive attitude. The study emphasizes the importance of EFL pre-service teachers developing emotional awareness and building strong connections within schools to successfully address challenges during their teaching practices
Rhetorical analysis in scholarly texts: Insights into introduction and literature review patterns
The rhetorical moves of doctoral students remain underexplored compared to published authors. Addressing this gap offers insights into academic writing development. This study explores rhetorical differences in research article introductions and literature reviews by comparing the strategies of doctoral candidates in linguistics and language education with those of authors in Scopus-indexed journals to highlight their impact on clarity. A mixed-method approach was employed, integrating qualitative analysis using Morley’s (2014) Academic Phrasebank and quantitative data to identify patterns in rhetorical strategies, offering a comprehensive view of writing practices across academic levels. The findings reveal a significant difference in the rhetorical devices used, with Scopus-indexed articles featuring a more complex range of patterns which doctoral students less frequently utilize. These findings underscore the necessity for enhanced academic writing instruction that equips doctoral students with rhetorical strategies. This research provides key insights for academic writing pedagogy, advocating for the integration of targeted approaches such as advanced writing workshops, structured peer review, and the use of rhetorical analysis frameworks to foster the development of writing sophistication and meet publication standards. This research offers valuable insights into academic writing pedagogy, emphasizing the importance of rhetorical sophistication in achieving publication standards
