Abstract
Topicality. Sports and technical skills, as an element of a holistic process of sports training, occupy one of the priority places in the overall structure of sports skills. The study, formation, improvement and development of the most rational models of sport technique are closely related to the use of modern video recording systems.
The task of the study is to analyse the knee strike technique, applied by the athletes of different qualifications with the help of "Qualisys" optoelectronic system.
Results of the research. Analysis of highly skilled athletes’ competitive activities shows that a knee strike is mainly used in close combat. Much less often such a strike can be put in a jump from a long or average distance. In our work, we have analysed the technique of right knee strike, performed from the starting position characteristic of close combat.
Conclusions. When studying the biokinematic structure of the knee strike technique, used by athletes of different qualification, differences in the dynamics of changes in the speed of the lower extremity joints on athlete’ impact side of were found, which indicates higher coordination of movements, performed by highly skilled athletes. Thus, regarding highly qualified athletes the peaks of the maximum speed of their ankle and knee joints coincide in time, contrary to the skilled athletes. The speed of the skilled athletes’ ankle and hip joints at certain times is higher than those of highly skilled. However, the maximum value of speed of the highly skilled athletes’ strike link, as a rule, is higher on average by 0.5 m ∙ s-1. The general patterns include the reduction of the resulting knee speed for athletes of different qualification at the time of strike performance in reference to the maximum values that precede the strike interaction.

Hankel type integral transforms connected with the hyper-Bessel differential operators
In this paper we give a solution of a problem posed by the second author in her book, namely, to find symmetrical integral transforms of Fourier type, generalizing the cos-Fourier (sin-Fourier) transform and the Hankel transform, and suitable for dealing with the hyper-Bessel differential operators of order m>1 , β>0, , j=1,...,m. We obtain such integral transforms corresponding to hyper-Bessel operators of even order 2m and belonging to the class of the Mellin convolution type transforms with the Meijer G-function as kernels. Inversion formulas and some operational relations for these transforms are found

Hundreds of variants clustered in genomic loci and biological pathways affect human height
Most common human traits and diseases have a polygenic pattern of inheritance: DNA sequence variants at many genetic loci influence the phenotype. Genome-wide association (GWA) studies have identified more than 600 variants associated with human traits(1), but these typically explain small fractions of phenotypic variation, raising questions about the use of further studies. Here, using 183,727 individuals, we show that hundreds of genetic variants, in at least 180 loci, influence adult height, a highly heritable and classic polygenic trait(2,3). The large number of loci reveals patterns with important implications for genetic studies of common human diseases and traits. First, the 180 loci are not random, but instead are enriched for genes that are connected in biological pathways (P = 0.016) and that underlie skeletal growth defects (P<0.001). Second, the likely causal gene is often located near the most strongly associated variant: in 13 of 21 loci containing a known skeletal growth gene, that gene was closest to the associated variant. Third, at least 19 loci have multiple independently associated variants, suggesting that allelic heterogeneity is a frequent feature of polygenic traits, that comprehensive explorations of already-discovered loci should discover additional variants and that an appreciable fraction of associated loci may have been identified. Fourth, associated variants are enriched for likely functional effects on genes, being over-represented among variants that alter amino-acid structure of proteins and expression levels of nearby genes. Our data explain approximately 10% of the phenotypic variation in height, and we estimate that unidentified common variants of similar effect sizes would increase this figure to approximately 16% of phenotypic variation (approximately 20% of heritable variation). Although additional approaches are needed to dissect the genetic architecture of polygenic human traits fully, our findings indicate that GWA studies can identify large numbers of loci that implicate biologically relevant genes and pathways

Determining the Strength of Structural Materials by Solving Inverse Problems of Thermoelasticity
The paper proposes a method for determining maximum thermoload from the temperature stress measured with a value by solving the inverse problem of thermoelasticity for canonical bodies. Determination of maximum thermoload is of significant practical importance when conducting non-destructive testing. It is important to regulate temperature and force loads, when thermostresses in structural elements will be achieved within permissible limits. For example, the tensile strength of the D16T material is exceeded at a heat flux of 6400 W/m2. This indicates the high heat resistance of the material D16T. To find values, the method of solving inverse problems of thermoelasticity was used. To obtain a stable and accurate solution to the inverse problem of thermoelasticity and thermoconductivity, the numerical finite element method and the Tikhonov method with the search for the regularization parameter are used. The Tikhonov method uses a stabilizing functional with a regularization parameter. The search of the regularizator is carried out using an algorithm for calculating the root of a nonlinear equation, which allows increasing the accuracy of results. The Tikhonov method has an error within 5%. The cost-effectiveness of the method lies in replacing complex and expensive experimental studies of objects with numerical experiments. The proposed methodology allows determining the loads at which it will be destroyed without bringing the object to destruction. Solving internal inverse problems of thermoelasticity is a complex and actual issue, especially in connection with the development of computers. This method applies to energy and aviation engineering facilities under high temperature and force loads
Reflection of Middle-Polissian Dialect in the Novel «Norynchanka and a Bird» by Mykola Zakusylo.

структурі художнього тексту. The article provides comments on the specifics of
presenting the middle-Polissian dialect in the new novel by Mykola Zakusylo. The emphasis is
laid on the appropriateness of graphic and orthographic innovations. This study seeks out to
identify the consistency of reproducing dialectal peculiarities and determines the place of
dialectal elements in the structure of an artistic text. The author argues that the novel can be
regarded as an interesting experiment on the use of dialect in the function of literary
language. However Polissian colloquial language features, especially at the phonetic level, are
reflected by M. Zakusylo inconsistently, since he accumulates elements from different dialects
of the right-bank Polissia. The innovations at the level of graphics and spelling are critically
analyzed and evaluated in the article. The author of the article claims that in the absence of
punctuation marks and lack of clarity in the division of the text into sentences, graphic
experiment makes an impression of artificiality, sometimes complicating perception and
understanding of the content of the novel
Methodology and applications of topology optimization in nanophotonics
As photonic integrated circuits are becoming more diverse in functionality and compact in size, the traditional design approach based on physical intuition becomes limited. There is a great interest in the research and development of inverse design for nanophotonics as it can surpass the limitations of brute-force design by intuition and few-parameter sweeps. We studied the inverse design approach to photonic device design, and this dissertation presents our work in advancing current topology optimization approaches for nanophotonics and applying it to several versatile applications.
We discuss the extension of conventional topology optimization both from a methodology perspective as well as an application perspective. From a methodology perspective, we develop an approach to generalize topology optimization to include grayscale structures and discrete-height structures, which expands the design space. We apply this broader form of topology optimization to different cases both in integrated photonics to design ultra-compact power splitters and polarization splitters, and in free-space optics to design chiro-optic devices. We also extend inverse design to heterogeneous photonic integration for a compact edge-coupler for coupling the light from an edge-emitting transistor laser to a passive waveguide. This study demonstrates that for complex device architectures with multiple materials and constraints, inverse design can alleviate the load on the designer. We designed an ultra-compact spot-size converter with misalignment tolerances within the margin of the proposed fabrication tools. We also developed designs for an ultra-compact ring resonator by utilizing conventional topology optimization but applied in a unique way. By optimizing only the 90-degree bend and cascading it to form a ring, the physics and interpretability of the device are maintained. Biological, clinical and population relevance of 95 loci for blood lipids
Plasma concentrations of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglycerides are among the most important risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD) and are targets for therapeutic intervention. We screened the genome for common variants associated with plasma lipids in >100,000 individuals of European ancestry. Here we report 95 significantly associated loci (P<5 x 10(-8)), with 59 showing genome-wide significant association with lipid traits for the first time. The newly reported associations include single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) near known lipid regulators (for example, CYP7A1, NPC1L1 and SCARB1) as well as in scores of loci not previously implicated in lipoprotein metabolism. The 95 loci contribute not only to normal variation in lipid traits but also to extreme lipid phenotypes and have an impact on lipid traits in three non-European populations (East Asians, South Asians and African Americans). Our results identify several novel loci associated with plasma lipids that are also associated with CAD. Finally, we validated three of the novel genes-GALNT2, PPP1R3B and TTC39B-with experiments in mouse models. Taken together, our findings provide the foundation to develop a broader biological understanding of lipoprotein metabolism and to identify new therapeutic opportunities for the prevention of CAD
