No full textThis essay is focused on ethnografy applied to the web
and to digital communication, in order to affirm the
importance of multiplying the points of view about the
representation forms beyond the mono-writing. The
challenge brought to mono-writing by a linguistic mix is
fascinating, complicated and multiple. Web-ethnography
is a context of research, experience and conflict, which
aim is the dissolution of the identary logics, legitimized by
the Western culture in its political history. Descentralization
and cultural mixing is a critic against monological
universalism, identitary logics, and synthetic dialectics
pertaining to a unique pattern which has constituted for
centuries one of the most efficient instruments of Western
domain through a linearity of speech which crosses �texts�
(writings, icons, performances) from �things� (bodies,
products, metropolis).Este ensayo se centra en la etnografía aplicada a la
web y a la comunicación digital con la intención de afirmar
la importancia de multiplicar los puntos de vista sobre
las formas de representación más allá de la sola escritura.
El reto que ofrece una mezcla lingüística a la monoescritura
es fascinante, complicado, múltiple. La etnografía web es
un contexto de investigación, experimentación y conflicto
cuyo objetivo es la disolución de la lógica de la identidad,
legitimada por la cultura occidental en su historia política.
Descentralización y mezcla transcultural es una crítica contra
el universalismo monológico, la lógica de la identidad,
la dialéctica sintética, que pertenecen a un modelo único
que durante siglos en �nuestra� historia constituyó uno de
los instrumentos más eficaces del dominio occidental a través
de una linealidad de discurso que atraviesa los �textos�
(escritos, imágenes, representaciones) desde las �cosas�
(cuerpos, productos, metrópolis)
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
