    1881-1965 yılları arasında Konya'da yaşayan İbrahim Aczî Kendî, Konya'nın XX. yüzyılda yetiştirdiği önemli şair, gazeteci, araştırmacı, yazar, mutasavvıf ve folklorculardandır. Konya'da öğretmenlik yapan İbrahim Aczî Kendî, Arapça ve Farsça öğrenerek kendini geliştirmiş, tasavvuf, edebiyat ve tarihle ilgili kitaplar hazırlamıştır. İbrahim Aczî Kendî'nin bizzat kendisinin kaleme aldığı, tek nüshası Yusuf Ağa Kütüphanesinde 10465/1 numara ile kayıtlı olan Devr-i Zaman adlı eseri, 360 Farsça rubâî ve bu rubâîlerin Osmanlı Türkçesiyle yazılmış açıklamalarından oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada İbrahim Aczî Kendî'nin hayatı incelenmiş, Devr-i Zaman adlı eserinde bulunan 360 rubâînin son 180 tanesi çalışılmıştır. Her bir rubâînin Farsça ana metinleri bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmış, bazen sadece tercüme, bazen de çeşitli açıklamalar içeren Osmanlı Türkçesiyle yazılan kısımlar ise latin harfleriyle aktarılmıştır. İbrahim Aczî Kendî, bu çalışmada ele alınan rubâîlerinde, genellikle ilahi aşk, toplumsal ahlâk, zamandan şikâyet, riya ve kibirden uzak durmanın gerekliliği gibi birçok konuya değinmiştir.İbrahim Aczî Kendî who lived the years between 1881 and 1965 in Konya is an important poet, a journalist, an investigate author, a mystic and a folklorist who raised by Konya in 20th century. İbrahim Aczî Kendi, worked as a tutor in Konya, improved himself by learning Arabian and Persian, prepared books about mysticism, literature and history. Devr-i zaman, which is written by İbrahim Aczî Kendî by himself and whose only transcript is registered with the number 104657/1 in Yusuf Ağa Library, is made of 360 Persian rubaies and their explanation which is written in Ottoman Turkish. In this study İbrahim Aczî Kendî's life and last 180 of 360 Persian rubaies are studied. Each of rubaies' Persian main texts are transferred to electronic environment. Parts that sometimes include translation, sometimes also include various types of explanations written Ottoman Turkish are transferred with Latin letters. İbrahim Aczî Kendî, rubaies that handled in this study, touches on many topics, such as sociel ethics, complaints about today's youht, hypocrisy and staying away from and arrogance

    External interventions and the duration of civil wars

    The authors combine an empirical model of external intervention, with a theoretical model of civil war duration. Their empirical model of intervention allows them to analyze civil war duration, using"expected"rather than"actual"external intervention as an explanatory variable in the duration model. Unlike previous studies, they find that external intervention is positively associated with the duration of civil war. They distinguish partial third-party interventions that extend the length of war, from multilateral"peace"operations, which have a mandate to restore peace without taking sides - and which typically take place at war's end, or at least when both sides have agreed to a cease-fire. In a future paper, the authors will examine whether partial third-party interventions - whatever their effect on a war's duration - increase the risk of war's recurrence.     Mahdi al-Makhzumi is one of the modern figures who renewed the science of nahwu, especially in the discussion of i'rab. The renewal is a response to classical nahwu science which is considered as trapped in various problems and experiencing stagnation. His renewal thinking is contained in the book entitled Fi an-Naḥw al- 'Arabi: Naqd wa Taujih. Therefore, this study aims to dissect and reveal Mahdi Al- Makhzumi's i'rab thinking in the book to find out the basis and form as well as examine the renewal and non-renewal in his ideas. This research is a qualitative research which uses library research. This research uses a philosophy of science approach with a critical study model. The data source in this research is the book Fi an-Naḥw al-'Arabi: Naqd wa Taujih, another book by Mahdi Al-Makhzumi, also books and articles relevant to the research. The data collection method used is documentation with reading and recording techniques. Data analysis in this research is in the form of text internal discourse analysis with linguistic analysis method and text intertextuality method. The results showed that: (1) the basis of Mahdi Al-Makhzumi's reform is the rejection of the concept of 'amil and the development of nahwu based on the development of Arabic usage. (2) Mahdi Al-Makhzumi's i'rab reform includes the definition of i'rab, the equation of ḥarf with ḥarakah, the division of i'rab kinds and the determination of one i'rab sign in each type, (3) Mahdi Al-Makhzumi's i'rab reform is an epigonism to the ideas of nahwu masters such as Ibrahim Musṭafa, Ibn Maḍa', Al-Khalil, Ibn Jinni, Az-Zujjaji, Zamakhsyari, Ibn 'Uṣfur, Ibn Hisyam, Ibn Faris and Ibn Ab ar-Rabi' al-Ishbili, (4) Mahdi Al-Makhzumi's inability to reform i'rab lies in the absence of the special function indicated by fatḥah, the absence of the i'rab rafa' sign in ism taṡniyyah and the borrowing of the i'rab naṣb form to khafḍ in ism taṡniyyah, jam' muizakkar salim and jam' muannaṡ salim and (5) the originality of Mahdi Al-Makhzumi's i'rab is divided into three kinds, namely rafa', naṣb and khafḍ and fatḥah as the only sign of i'rab naṣb

    ABSTRAK Judul penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh struktur doktrinal Shi’ah Ithna ‘Asyariyah terhadap Imam Mahdi yang sangat fundamental. Dasar keyakinan makna Imam yang sangat dilandasi oleh kekuatan magic, kekuatan dimensi spiritual Sesungguhnya Masalah doktrin Imamah yang sangat fundamental bisa didefinisikan sebagai sesuatu konsep Imamah yang secara esoterik tidak rasional “esoteric nonrational Imamism”, tidak terkecuali konsep Imam Mahdi Shi’ah Ithna ‘Asyariyah. Tetapi apa yang sudah dilakukan oleh pelaku tradisi mitis pada hakikatnya adalah proses penghayatan holistik dan upaya memperjelas nilai–nilai abstrak. Karena sesungguhnya tradisi mitis merupakan tradisi yang secara eksoteris adalah abstrak, tidak gampang dinilai dengan satu mata tapi harus mendalami juga apa hakikat atau aspek esoteris dari tradisi mitis tersebut. Meskipun dalam pandangan orang lain, itu sangatlah tidak rasional dan tidak logis. Sesuatu yang nampak jelas di depan mata bisa menjadi dimensi kekuatan penuh dan stimulus kekuatan hidup. Seperti pernyataan Elilade bahwa mitos memiliki peranan penting karena melukiskan lintasan supranatural ke dalam dunia, atau berusaha membuat dunia yang natural menjadi supranatural. Unsur mitos itulah ekspektasi manusia religius terhadap supranatural. Selain itu terdapat unsur lain yang menambahkan pola mitos dari tanda–tanda (simbol) waktu dan sejarah yang sakral. ketiga pokok dasar mitos ini sangat mempengaruhi substansi supranatural dunia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua macam teknik yang dipakai yakni pertama, teknik penggalian data dan kedua teknik analisa data. Untuk metode penggalian data, penulis menggunakan metode Library Research (riset kepustakaan) terhadap literatur–literatur primer maupun skunder. Literatur–literatur primer terdiri dari karya–karya penulis dari pihak Shi’ah sementara yang lain dari penulis Shi’ah tentang konsep Imam Mahdi Shi’ah Ithna ‘Asyariyah. Selain itu juga buku–buku yang ditulis oleh Mircea Eliade. Pendekatan analisa penelitian ini menggunakan antropologi positivisme. Dengannya berguna menghasilkan kemungkinan pemahaman obyektif, selain itu mendapatkan data–data atau perspektif yang tepat, kritis dan obyektif atas kesejarahan Shi’ah Ithna ‘Asyariyah, selain itu tanpa harus memberikan pertanyaan atau wawancara kepada informan. Tetapi hanya melihat fakta sosial dan tulisan tulisan pelaku dari fakta sosial tersebut. Metode ini penulis mencoba memberikan interpretasi atau penafsiran sesuai dengan kecendrungan teks yang diinginkan oleh penulis Shi’a. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mitos yang dikatakan oleh Mircea Eliade dimiliki juga oleh keyakinan sakralitas Shi’ah Ithna ‘Asyariyah terhdap Imam Mahdi. Kekuatan power sakralitas Imam Mahdi membentuk proses eksistensi dan ekspektasi kehidupan Shi’ah di dunia. Karena sesungguhnya itulah (mitos) hal utama yang dijadikan iman dan landasan hidup. Supranatural dari unsur natural menjadikannya dimensi kekuatan spiritual penuh. ABSTRACT The title of the study is motivated by the structure of the fundamental Imam Mahdi Shiite doctrinal. Basic beliefs meaning Priest was based on the power of magic, the power of the spiritual dimension. Indeed, problems of fundamental doctrine of Imamate can be defined as something that is esoteric concept of Imamate irrational "nonrational Imamism esoteric" does not mention the concept of Imam Mahdi Shi'ah Ithna 'Asyariyah. Indeed, what has been done by the perpetrators of the mythic tradition is essentially a holistic appreciation of the process and attempt to clarify the value of the abstract. Because mythical tradition is a tradition that is exoterically abstract, not easily assessed with one eye but should also explore what nature or esoteric aspects of the mythical tradition. Although in the eyes of others, it is irrational and illogical. Something clearly visible in front of the eyes can be a stimulus dimension in full force and life force. Elilade states that the myth has an important role because it depicts a supernatural path into the world, or trying to make the natural into the supernatural world. Elements of the myth that religious people against the supernatural expectations. In addition there is another element that adds a mythical pattern of the signs (symbol) time and sacred history. Three fundamentals myth are affecting the substance of the supernatural world. The research was carried out using two different techniques are used: first, data mining techniques and second data analysis techniques. For data mining method, the writer used the method Library Research of the primary and secondary literature. The primary literature consists of works of writer from the Shiites, while others from the author of the concept of Imam Mahdi Shi'ite Shia Ithna 'Asyariyah. There was also books written by Mircea Eliade about the sacred, profane, reality and myth. The works are the primary sources of this study. While the approach to analyze the data, writer use the method positivism of antropology. It is useful to understand the objective result, in addition to get data or perspective, critically and objectively the historical Shia Ithna 'Asyariyah. Without giving any question or interview the informant. But just look at the facts of social actors and the writing paper of the social facts. The writer tries to give interpretations in accordance with the trend of the desired text by the author Shi'a. Finally, the results of this study concluded that the myth which is said by Mircea Eliade also owned by the belief the sacred of Shia Ithna 'Asyariyah towards Imam Mahdi. Strength sacred power existence of Imam Mahdi forming processes and expectations of life in the Shia world. Due to that fact (myth) is used as the main basis of faith and life.     ABSTRAK Mahdi Ibrahim Fungsi MAA dalam Melestarikan Budaya Pantun di Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang(Studi di Majelis Adat Aceh Tamiang)Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Syiah Kuala(Masrizal, MA, Saifuddin Bantasyam, SH, MA)Majelis Adat Aceh merupakan salah satu lembaga keistimewaan Aceh dalam melaksanakan pembangunan bidang adat istiadat. Majelis Adat Aceh yang kemudian disingkat menjadi MAA Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang memiliki salah satu fungsi dalam melestarikan adat budaya di Aceh Tamiang yaitu salah satunya fungsi dalam melestarikan adat pantun pada acara resepsi pernikahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab bergesernya nilai adat budaya pantun pada masyarakat Aceh Tamiang serta untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji fungsi MAA dalam melestarikan adat pantun di Aceh Tamiang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, selain itu informan yang diperoleh berdasarkan dengan metode purposive sampling. Untuk menganalisis penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori Peran yang dikemukakan oleh Soerjono Soekanto. Data yang diperoleh peneliti dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara mendalam serta observasi dan dokumentasi, data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa saat ini keberadaan pantun di Aceh Tamiang telah berubah keberadaannya dimana dahulu sering digunakan dan kini sudah jarang ditemui. Selain itu nilai yang terkandung didalamnya juga berubah dimana dahulunya terdapat nilai nasehat serta syiar di dalamnya dan sekarang hanya sebatas untuk hiburan belaka. Adapun faktor mempengaruhi bergesernya nilai pada pantun tersebut antara lain karena pengaruh modernisasi yang menuntut masyarakat mengikuti perkembangan jaman. Selanjutnya kurangnya sosialisasi dari pihak terkait baik dari pihak MAA maupun pihak terkait lainnya serta minimnya tokoh yang paham akan pantun dan minimnya minat masyarakat terhadap pantun itu sendiri.
